- A Mesa couple was traumatized after their neighbor set their house on fire. Then, things got worse when their insurance delayed payment until 12News got involved.
Nowadays, only The News can help people get stuff done. This is pretty sad.....😢

What happened to the neighbor? Was he arrested and charged with arson? A civil suit should be pending.
Insurance is a scam. They make the rules, they interpret the rules, and they enforce the rules. Your job is to pay up. If you don't like it, you can pay more to fight them in court.
Where are our legislatures at on this....they are supposed to serve the public.

If the arsonist next door is insured, why the hell isn’t his insurance paying? Why do you have to get a tv station involved to get results?
So many things wrong with this question.
The man lit the fire, homeowners or renters insurance doesn’t cover the individuals actions outside of his home.
Also, since your house generally doesn’t get up and run into other houses, people or cars… home insurance, unlike automotive insurance, is not a legal requirement. Even if his house ignited the neighbors, the guy simply could not have any insurance coverage.
Pay for insurance... that's fine, we're not paying until you take it the news or hire legal help

Everything is a scam anymore. You pay into something and then they use every possible delaying tactic to not do there job.
Premiums paid by customers go into a main account. Interest from that account is used to pay claims. Thus Insurance companies never go Bankrupt.
One thing about mobile home repairs is that there are only a certain amount of companies that are Allowed to actually do mobile home repairs, been here and dealt with it…

I guess that is why we in Wa. State passed a law where we could sue the insurance company for not providing service we pay for. Watching what was happening in Ca. was why we voted ! Insurance companies fought it!
My father had a claim in for an accident that the other driver hit and ran. Couldn’t get results until he got the state Insurance Commissioner involved.
Bet it's a Stock based insurers, they serve their shareholders before policy holders.

AGREE insurance companies are the worst...Years ago my $30,000 dump truck was totaled when the bed hinge pins failed and the bed collapsed while dumping a load and crushed the cab of the truck... luckily i wasnt in the truck when it happened whew!! My ins co denied the claim after at least 5 or 6 times back and forth with them saying the load must've exceeded the trucks max load rating... I ended up selling the totaled truck for $2000... then 3 months later the Ins co contacted me saying they were going to cover it for $21,000 but I couldn't complete the claim because I didn't own the truck anymore...
Oh! That's just mean and nasty of that insurance company.
