I live out here. A nice plce to camp near Vegas, Lovell Canyon. It's paved, free and 25* cooler than the valley. Up in the lodgepole pines with plenty of shade. Deer, elk bighorn sheep and the rest of the desert creatures. Lovell Canyon road off of hwy 160 near Mountain Springs. Nice and cool at night, lots of stars. It's where us locals go.
We love Death Valley - but you really need a lot of time to see everything -as its so spread apart. There are many areas there we still want to explore - maybe next year :). At least you got to see the lake - we never have :( You guys did a great job showing the highlights :) I like your idea of a visitor center food cookout - you could start a challenge ... LOL. We have stayed a few times up in Tuttle creek and never seen it that busy - too bad - I know that added some extra miles for you guys. We did stop at Fossil Falls one day on the way to Mammoth - just for an hour and grabbed lunch and some drone shots - We plan to camp there someday but so far it has not been in the right direction for us. Great job on this guys we love it. Safe travels ❤
That's awesome and there are sooooo many spots to explore along 395. We love your exploration in the Eastern Sierras too! Did you make it to the Falls? We need to find that video
@@VanDoghies unfortunately we did not see the falls. It was just a quick stop for lunch and to see the campground. We did like it though and want to stop when we are headed out that way and explore the falls.
another great episode as always! Thanks for sharing. Death Valley is still on our bucket list! 💯
OMG do not go in the summer haha! But it's a must see in the cooler seasons.
