    Dry Camping in Death Valley National Park, California | RV Newbie Series [USA Road Trip]
    Well, what we can we say about our first time dry camping as RV Newbies?? It was definitely a challenge, especially the "showering comfortably" part, but what could we expect lol...we weren't the most prepared. We loved staying at Fiddler's Campground at the Oasis (used to be called Furnace Creek Campground) but we definitely appreciate the full hookup scenario a bit more now.
    With only one full day in Death Valley, we were able to see a ton of stuff!! From the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Badwater Basin Salt Flats, Dante's View, Zabriskie Point, Artist's Drive..we were able to do and see all that in one day!! The variety of the landscape of this place is truly astounding, and this time of year the weather is perfect (not crazy hot like in the summer time!) and much less tourists!

    I love you Guys especially because we’re getting our rv this year to travel next year but seriously just get a solar starter package off of Amazon for $250! (They even have it for $56/month option through your Amazon acct) You will get the 2 large panels with the hub etc and not hard to install plus you don’t have to get gas whenever you want power so it’ll help you guys a lot at least with the basics and make boondocking a lot easier. Happy trails! Learning a lot from you both

      Hey Jordan! Congrats, how exciting! We're not interested in solar now but appreciate the info for the future! Thanks for following along! :) Safe travels!

    Beautiful sunset..great humor..be safe. Good idea on camp shower bag inside if you can use 1-2 gal water and find better support. Leave bag with water outside in sun to heat up or add boiled water.

    Wow! Love the intro guys. And the view for that sunrise was amazing! Why didn’t you guys bring bacon?? What a genius idea, we might have to try that next time we go out early in the morning hahaha Seriously, cannot get enough of THAT VIEW! Especially at Dante’s View... wow

    I love your videos. I was a full-time RVer for 16 years and loved the lifestyle. Then I got married to Mike and he has too much stuff for full-time travel. Still, we travel about half of the year so that's great. We were just wondering why you don't use your fresh water tank? Fill it up, turn on your water heater for hot water, turn on your water pump, and you can take showers, wash dishes, etc.

    I just purchased a Berkey water filter,,filters everything out apparently,,very popular with nomads. You can fill it with crappy water from your rig at your sink,,way easier than filling the bottles,

    Maybe I missed something, but is there a reason why you don't use the RV's potable water system? Great channel btw

      I was wondering the same. But fun couple to watch. Amazing adventures!

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  3 года назад

      Great question! So we’re still a little nervous to travel with water in our fresh tank - and when we arrived and learned water wasn’t nearby, and we knew we had less than 48 hours at the campsite, the little water jug worked great for brushing teeth and washing hands. Also, we knew it was clean water lol
      Just kind of the quick way for a short stay. But if we had stayed longer (4+ days) we would have found a way to fill our tank so showering would have been an option.
      Thanks for you comment. We appreciate it Drive North 👍🏼

    Why not fill your fresh water where you filled the bag for the shower and just drain them before you leave so no extra weight? Just curious

    • @ONWorldTravel
      @ONWorldTravel  3 года назад

      Hey Matthew! Great question! There weren't any dump sites nearby and the next stop for us was 5 hours. We didn't want to travel with that much extra weight so we just used the jugs. (5 gal water jug vs. filling our 60 gal jug)
