Am I the only one that enjoys that perfect silence in the video? Just cooking noises and serenity 🙏🏻
i enjoy the silance, but last 20 sec i enjoy too 😜
Silence really is golden.
Love the crunching too!
Yes you are the only odd ball

So refreshing silence and cooking 🧑🍳 no bloody tacky music just natural . Thank you I’m going to try this

And, how was it?
I have made this bread so many times on my own and STILL come back to the video. Now I add tumeric and rosemary. Just so good
Klasse! ❤
Awesome 💯
I have made it twice forgetting something both times, but it tastes good anyway. I've been making bread for years and I'm never happy at how it tastes. No taste, too dense, etc. But this bread is delicious even with my errors. Will keep making it becoming perfect with repetition. I don't know why this works but thank you Perfect Home. I've subscribed.
I wish there were more videos like this. No music, no babbling about irrelevant stuff. Just getting on with the job. Great. I might try this. 👍
I like the faint barks of the dog at 3:03. Mom is at home making bread while the kids are outside playing with the dog. Good times.
I agree
With the spread of food shortages across the world, or as born again Christians like myself know it's the arrival of the Third Horseman, we won't have a choice but to make our own bread and grow our own crops.

This looks so good! I came here looking for a bread I could bake on my woodstove (saving electricity), and I think I found the perfect recipe at first try.
My grandmother always made her own bread when I was growing up in the 50's/60's/70's. The smell of freshly baked bread was always in the air, cooked on a 'range'. Much better & tastier than the mass produced stuff. 🍞
It is, but too time consuming and bread is not the most healthy food to eat. High in glucose.

As soon as l hear any kind of music (good or bad) in tutorial videos, l immediately skip it!! This is an absolute welcome relief and therefore...An excellent video, thanks for sharing. Great way to make bread!! 😊👍👍
And not jabba jabba.....
This is especially great in the summer when I don't want to heat up the house with the oven. I may even go outside with the camp stove and an iron skillet. Imagine this with a pot of beans or homemade soup.

evening, Jeff. I live in Ukraine abd during the war my country had to export most of its bread, so the prices have soared by 50% and are still growing. It has been my dream for dozens of years to learn cooking cookies and bread-like products.
I can see that you are passionate about cooking, and know some practical recepies. May I ask about what time this 'rising' takes? Does the smell or some other indicator tell you it has risen sufficiently?
@@English_Lessons_Pre-Int_Interm Usually 30 minutes to an hour each rise, depending how warm it is in your house. Always put it in a warm place. I like my house cool, so I put my dough inside the oven, while still off, but I turn the oven light on, which gives off the perfect amount of heat. You’re looking for your dough to double in size, then you’ll punch it down, re-knead it back to your desired shape, and let rise again, or make rolls or baguettes and let rise again. Just depends on what you’re making. Hope this helps. :))

Mike toni, why inject such mean negativity on an otherwise pleasant subject matter?
I hope you have better compassionate days ahead.
Great idea. In China there's an old man who makes these on a flat top grill. (plancha)He folds green onions into the dough and uses lard as an ingredient instead of cooking oil. He makes them until his batch of dough runs out. Every day there are line ups around the market waiting for his scallion bread. So he limits two per customer.
Wonderful!!
I’m thinking of trying one with organic coconut oil & gluten free buckwheat flour ... think there are literally tons of options , it’s like a focaccia
@@jacqc1533 That reminds me of a coconut bun from Hong Kong. The baker folds pieces of butter with scads of shaved coconut into a roll. (not gluten free)topped of with an abundance of granulated sugar. Inducing a cascade of insulin production jolting the brain with a mind numbing high. As kids, my parents would indulge my siblings and I with the baked confection. Hence the reason for my gluttony.

I didn't see how long to cook it for.. so i had to just experiment I Use a nonstick pan with a lid , on low flame until it gets a crust on one side ( about 20 mins for me) then turn it over and make sure you use a little bit of oil or butter to crust the other side . I again put the lid on and let it rise for another 15 mins on low. But kept checking for any burning smell. Then I let it cool before cutting in.
Thank you Asa! I was lost about the time as well.
