R.I.P Bill Bixby, he was soooo good as David Banner. Passed way before his time :( Kenneth Johnson was kind enough to send me an autographed photo of him and Bill Bixby the first time Bix had the famous contact lenses in.
Just ordered the whole series off Ebay for less than $30 it's the individual season sets from years ago though. Cant wait to watch it. I've only seen a few episodes over the years.
I'm an adult... but I'm not going to lie... there's something terrifying about the whole transformation process... with that chilling transformation music making it even creepier....... I can TOTALLY see wanting to run and hide when he started to change....especially if you're a kid...

I loved watching this series in the 1980s when i was a young girl. I have everything including (hulk movie and the incredible hulk movie) except for the complete animated series'(1960s, 1980s and 1990s).

Yes, that is true. Arnold Schwarzenegger recommended Lou Ferrigno. Because he competed against him in the 1974 Olympia, in South Africa (Which was documented in the movie “Pumping Iron.).

I heard that in The Incredible Hulk TV Series, they were going to have She-Hulk and maybe a spin-off tv series.
They did for a while but at the end that idea died

The Buena Vista release had 4 episodes and introductions by Stan Lee, just so folks know. Yeah you should be able to get a decent multi-region DVD player for hopefully around the $50.00 mark now, if you know where to look. Great vid as always Sean. ;)

Just buy a cheap dvd player and reprogram it. Codes and instructions are online and is realy simple.
The 80's animated series has one of the best intro themes of any generation of Marvel cartoon IMO. I have such memories of that show. Indeed my favourite VHS as a child was the original release of that same DVD (When monsters meet) featuring Quasimodo. I lost my copy at my aunties house when I was about eight and cried for hours. I'm so very glad to have the complete series in my collection now. Even though I don't get the same kick out of watching most of those older shows today, I still enjoy this series.

I don't think I ever saw the 80s animated series I know I saw it in the 90s. Then again I don't know how many animated versions there are. No I definitely didn't see that one.
I wish i could get this DVD box set of The Incredible Hulk The Complete Series but i can't because it seems you can only get it in the United States and i'm in England but i keep trying to find and get it on ebay but the prices are high because it's coming from the United States. I love the way this box set is made and designed and i love the pictures on all the DVD slim cases. Each slim case has a different picture which even looks quite cool and that is what i really like and that's what makes me keep trying to buy it!.

What are your actual thoughts on the Incredible Hulk revival TV movies? I've always loved Trial. Since i was young it always fascinated me for some reason. Plus the music in that thing was great. Great review, I've been meaning to pick these sets up for a really long time. Not upgraded my VHS' yet. I keep hoping they'll bring them to blu ray soon.

@Zaranyzerak: Hey man, I'm not sure if you're a sort of expert on dvd players but do you know if lg dvd players play region 2 dvds? I have an lg dvd player that plays normal dvds and blu-rays and I feel that it can also play region 2 dvds since there's an option on the dvd player menu in relation to dvd regions. Thanks!
The only Hulk cartoon from the 90s I liked is the Second Season feature Hulk and his cousin jennifer the She Hulk because it's light and funny than the First Season of The Incredible Hulk. Plus my favourites episodes are "Down Memory Lane" and "Fashion Warriors" since it feature Gargoyle's obession for She Hulk, it's a shame that the series had come to the end because I would like to see more of Gargoyle trying to win She Hulk's heart.

I’m not sure if you know this already, but the live action Incredible Hulk show has recently been announced four Blu-ray in October 2021. I’m sure you wouldn’t get rid of the set but I thought I’d let you know in case you hadn’t heard.

Hey Z-Man! I’ve been looking at getting the 70s/80s live action Hulk show, but I’ve been undecided on which one to get because here in the U.K there’s actually a Blu-ray release. I can’t find much info on it, and I never see it in stores, only online. Do you think I should spring for the Blu-ray or stick with the common DVD Edition?

How do you set up your computer to watch British DVDs. I tried one, and it wouldn't work
I usually use DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD to my computer, which removes the Region coding, then watch using VLC Player. Loads faster than running off the DVD, and doesn't run my DVD drive constantly. And if PAL speedup is an issue, VLC player can be adjusted to correct the timing to the original NTSC speed on the fly.
What languages are in the animated set? I saw the spanish flag and a few others so I assume it has all the dubs from various european countries.
I have the first two post Hulk movies on DVD, but not the third.
Is there any content difference between this set and the U.K 24 disc set other than the packaging as the three movies are also not included in the U.K set just curious as the disc count was higher

Wow, this film dictates that the Hulk is highly famous. Hulk is one of the most powerful Marvel characters ever created in television. Although, I do feel depressed for David Banner aka Bill Bixby because he was always searching of a cure for his transformational mutation. If David Banner never would've exposed himself to gamma radiation than he wouldn't remain in his scientifically horrifying predicament. But until then, he resumes to be a lonely man privately roaming around the streets to locate a cure. My favorite scene from every episode is when they indicate the ending credits and perform the piano melodies. Also the You-Tuber was questioning why the coloration of the Hulk was green, and I can simply answer that statement. It's because Bruce Banner's DNA was combined with Frog DNA. That's basically the practical reason why The Hulk can leap from such a far distance. I love the Hulk so much, he has always been my most favorite Marvel character ever since my young-aged childhood. I've always had a valid relation with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. I also love the animated series of the Hulk as well. He always has and always will be my most favorite monstrous Hero.
There was another HULK movie before the Edward Norton one, right? Is that not considered part of the marvel continuity? I saw the Edward Norton one and liked it a lot, probably not the best when compared with its other Marvel universe companions, especially in between the Iron Man movies, but a nice watch all the same.
***** Oh, 5.7 on IMDB does not bode well for it. How is it? Nice that they got Lou Ferrigno to make a cameo on the movie though. Funny, Ang Lee is the last guy that I'd think would do a superhero movie.

Nope, they are only available separately. Only the main series is available in a collection. Guessing some rights issues with the 3 post-series movies so they can't include them with the show.

I’ve also remember seeing the 60s animated series online back in the early 2010s and it was enjoyable as well although it could be better with more animation ultilized but 60s animation budget was limited so I’ll let it slide

What a lot of people don't realize, is the 60's series (along with the other 4 shows that made up the Marvel Super Heroes series) had that style of animation deliberately. It was an artistic choice to do it like an early form of motion comic, rather than with full animation. The Spider-Man series came out the same year and had far superior animation, so it was nothing to do with animation techniques or budget at the time. It was very much done that way on purpose. Interesting to note, all of the stories from that series are almost word-for-word adaptations of several of the early comics.

Hey in The Incredible Hulk Returns (1989) they should add an Evil Villain name Hela played by Tanya Roberts and in The Death of The Incredible Hulk (1990) do they add Black Widow?
No, Black Widow isn't in The Death of the Incredible Hulk. It's a different female Russian spy named Jasmin, who was likely inspired at least in part by Black Widow, but not the same character.

How did you get The Incredible Hulk: The Animated Collection on DVD?
It was sent to me as a gift from a viewer in the UK.
This might be out of this subject. I saw a video where somebody was on boxing the Incredible Hulk complete series on Blu-ray and they were complaining that the movies that you just mentioned we’re not on there despite the box at saying that it included the two movies
None of the Complete Series sets contain the post-series TV movies. The movies referred to on the set are the original two pilot movies. The information is correct and accurate. There were 3 post-series movies, not two. They have never been in any of these sets and likely never will be because of rights issues. They are not fully owned by Universal, so they cannot be included.

@@lookingforahookup Well then he needs to educate himself. It IS the Ultimate TV Show and Movie collection, it has everything related to that show that Universal owns the rights to distribute. It never said or implied anywhere on the packaging that it included the 3 post-series TV movies. That would have been FIVE movies in the set total, including the two pilot movies.

Why'd they change banner's name to david banner instead of bruce banner?
It's interesting because in the comics, Bruce is actually his middle name - as it is in the TV show. His full name in the comics is Robert Bruce Banner. He's even referred to as "Bob Banner" in some of the early issues. But over time, he started being referred to as Bruce instead. In the show, the producers basically felt Bruce wasn't a "manly" enough sounding name, so they went with David instead. Silly and borderline offensive reason, really.

Didn't you mention a while back in one of your release videos that an item is a bootleg if it is really really really really cheap?
No, just because an item is cheap doesn't automatically mean it's a bootleg. That can be a clue, yes. Especially if it's a title that's been out of print for a while and usually goes for crazy money and you suddenly find a seller on ebay that has like 100 of them for 20.00 each or something. That's almost certainly a bootleg. But that's not to say just because you find something cheap it's a bootleg, price is ONE clue.
This is why I never buy items on ebay from sellers that use stock photos, unless it's a big, well established seller that I know and trust. If it's a smaller seller, I'll only buy if I see actual pictures of the actual item so I can see if it's legit or not. It can be harder to tell on amazon because no pictures.
If you're asking because I got a great deal on the Incredible Hulk Complete Series set, no it's not a bootleg. It was bought directly from amazon, not a third party seller. It is absolutely not a bootleg set in any way shape or form. I wouldn't have done a video about it if it was, certainly not on this scale. They simply had a sale on that week. Sometimes you just get lucky and find good deals. Just use common sense when deciding to buy something like that.

Zaranyzerak man, instead of releasing these marvel movies that no one cares about, they should release this hulk cartoon and the spideman cartoon from the 90s on dvd. Preferably as a boxed set.
The hulk was green because the hulk was almost grey but the printer didn’t work for grey so Stan Lee did green
Sort of, grey worked fine for the printer, but green showed up more vibrantly. So they switched to green from the second issue onward. He actually does appear green for a couple of panels in the first issue.

@@lookingforahookup I bought it used. The set was already long out of print when I got it, so I just got it when I saw it as is. It would have been nice to have the booklet, but the main thing was to have the movies and extras.

I just looked up the U.K. set on Amazon, and it's going for 279.00. Yikes!

Bixby was diagnosed with cancer 2 years after Death of Hulk.
***** Death of The Hulk came out February of 1990 and Bix was diagnosed with cancer in January of 1992. Now over the years some people think he had cancer when he was making the Death of the Hulk which was not the case.
@@classic1971 Bixby did an interview in which he said that he was diagnosed the same week that Michael Landon was, and Landon was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on April 5, 1991.
@@dan1216 Point is people seem to think Bill was sick when he made Death Of The Hulk and that was not the case. Bill was diagnosed well over a year later.

Yes, the Region 2 set has every season, every episode of the 60s, 80s and 90s animated shows. All 3 are complete. I show the set in detail in the video.
Those t.v. movies were gawd awful, and they were not created by the original creators. I couldn't believe how awful they were. They were embarrassing. That's why they're not included in the entire series. The series, Thank God, was absolutely fantastic.
The '82 Hulk is the best followed by the '96 and the god awful 60's version.

There's actually a Hulk cartoon currently airing on Disney XD....kinda. It's called Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., which has the Hulk team up with a few other heroes, all the while having to keep up a public image as a hero, not a monster. It's not well-loved, but Disney renewed it for a second season, so clearly someone likes it.
***** Well, it wasn't considered HORRIBLE, just mediocre. Ditto with the other current Marvel Disney XD shows, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Avengers Assemble. Both have mixed reviews, but both I actually don't mind, especially compared to DC's Teen Titans GO!, which to be quite frank, is a bit hard to watch, especially if you watched the original Teen Titans series from the 2000s.
