I agree with your picks and would add Still Austin CS, Rebecca Creek Double Oaked, New Riff Single Barrels, Sagamore Barrel Strength, and Smoke Wagon Uncut and Unfiltered.
Heaven Hill 7 year BIB, $41 here in So Cal. Can't be beat for that price. Old Grand Dad 114 for $30. Redwood Empire "Lost Monarch" for $35, yes I know it technically isn't a pure bourbon, but it favors those flavors over the rye and is just damn delicious.
Agree with pretty much all of the whiskeys you mentioned. I would add Sagamore Barrel Strength and finishes are great buys at the price and I really enjoyed the Smoke Wagon Blenders Select.
1792 full proof (especially the store picks) is my best value for bourbon. 62.5%, quintessential bourbon taste, and I found it for $50! Was also able to find JD single barrel barrel proof on sale for $55!
FWIW, if you know where your dryer vent exits the house, it may be easier to pull the cover off outside and clean it from there. A shop vac can help. The dryer vent hose is usually a little thin and fragile, so be careful of using sharp things to poke around (like the tip of a wire coat hanger); tape the tip up or put in a bend so they don't snag. If it is a really long vent, you may need to approach it from both ends anyway. Good luck. Blocked dryer vents can be a cause of fires, so definitely worth the trouble, whatever you have to do.
What about McKenna BiB? One of my favorites. Spot on with your selections. However, where I live the EC and Larceny BPs are about $100. Love the video! Not gonna lie, love all your videos. Very entertaining and, more importantly, very educational. Incidentally, I live about a half hour from the JD distillery.
How about ASW Georgia Heartwood call strength, Redwood Empire Pipe Dreams cask strength, Smoke Wagon uncut unfiltered, Old Forester Single Barrell Store pick, or Penelope Toasted Barrel?
I’m a big fan of the Ben Holladay BIB. Their Soft Red Wheated BIB 6yr is another solid choice, and they recently released their Barrel Proof which is awesome.
I’m a big fan of the Bardstown Bottled In Bond. Also, the New Riff Single Barrel, especially at the higher proofs. I’ve had a couple bottles over 110 proof, tasty tasty!
Nice list! I recently had to unclog my dryer hose. If your dryer is next to an external wall it may pay to attack it from the outside. The clog I had was at the vent flaps on the outside wall.
Love the picks. Would definitely add Penelope to the list especially the toasted and barrel strength. Also if you can find any of the 2XO b blends. Saw the newest for 98$ in Louisville.
I’m only less than a minute into the video but before I watch, I just want to throw my “Shelf Staples” list I keep on my Reminders App on my phone. It’s 20 bottles deep but I’ll shorten it to 8 since half are either batches/single-barrels or whiskey from across the pond. WT Rare Breed, Knob Creek 12, OF1920, Pikesville Rye, Sagamore Double Oak, Cooper’s 100, and both Maker’s 46 CS and Maker’s CS.
Bakers 7 Heaven Hill BIB are bottles that are very good for the money may not be everyone’s jam but that’s the way bourbon work’s different strokes for different folks. Great list some seriously heavy hitters here for a great price usually.
I know you're not a Maker's Mark fan but any and all of their limited releases (Wood Finishing Series), Private Release store picks, and the Maker's 46 Cask Strength are all winners. I have had many bourbons from Barrell Craft Spirits and everyone of them is worth their price!
Solid List through and through. Seeing everyone in the comments bring up Sagamore, and they are not wrong. But, maybe you can follow this up with your favorite Barrel Proof Ryes for under $100? And maybe Bottled In Bond for under $75?? Come on, this is content gold! :D
Great list Matt. My last pickup was a finesse buy of Knob Creek 12 for $49.97!!! Would’ve bought two, BUT I also picked up Sagamore DO for $49.97 as well. I’m well prepared for the rest of autumn 🤌🏾
So glad to see Rebel 10 in the mix. Absolutely crushable. Was one of my favorite bottles last year and stoked to have been able to pick up another this year!
Great list and I'm sure there are others as the people below have mentioned. This is the very reason why people are crazy to spend more than $100 on bourbon. I wont spend over $80. in my opinion its never been worth spending more or chasing them for that matter as these products are all on the shelf!
A few i think that are notable but missing. All readily available. + Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon + Penelop Architech + Still Austin Cask strength many ryes but leaving them off this list.
I keep trying to get people into the Jack BP but they see jack and aren't convinced but it's so so good. Old Ezra 7 is one I've been enjoying a lot too and Sagamore
Under $100 - Sagamore Spirit 8 Year Rye. Under $70 JD SiB BP Rye. Under $50 JD Bonded Rye, KC Rye 7 Year, Walcott Rick House Reserve. Under $30 JD Bonded. These are all fantastic pours who’s quality far exceeds their price! 🥃
P/U a Nelson Bros Reserve at a CA Total Wine for $39.99 + tx really good IMO. I know there are a lot of Belle Meade folks hatin' on it, so good, leave the Nelson's for the rest of us.
I just tried that at Heaven Hill two days ago. Probably my biggest surprise on the bourbon trail! I didn't buy one because my suitcase was hitting critical mass and now I regret it.
I have most you mentioned plus about 5 or 6 specials I have over $100, I can come up with a dozen more. But with my Scotch, Rum, Irish,Tequila with a few Brandy's I have I don't spend more than $75 on a pour. WIth 85+ bottles at my bar that I like, I don't I want to spend the money on weeding out the 100"s on up it's not worth it. Besides if I want a taste I buy a pour, which is very rare. The only thing I find buying the last few years are the mixer pours. Why?.. I have on average a half bottle + of everything else. The sweet spot on my neat's are $45/65. 30 yrs. ago spending $45 on a pour was insane. Not missing anything and my credit card doesn't scream at me or self destruct. P.S Buy extra corks the T-corks on most bottles fail eventually, or the Angels keep visiting your stash. Cheers.
4 more come to mind, no particular order. Bakers 7, ~$60. Great Beam product, sweeter than Knob Creek Four Roses Small Batch Select, ~$55. More well rounded profile than the single barrels, as you get 6/10 of the mash bills blended. Bardstown Origin, ~$40. Maybe the only sub100 proof bourbon I regularly reach for. High Rye, bats well above its price. Journeyman Corsets Whips and Whiskey. ~$60. Single Barrel 117 proof - Won the Ascot Awards this year. 100% wheat (not bourbon)
Yes absolutely! Bakers and Four Roses Small Batch Select are two of my favorites. Both are excellent bourbons. Unfortunately, I have never even seen the other two that you listed. Cheers!
Oh man ya gotta add in MM 46 Cask Strength, Bakers 7yr (always see it over 8yr on label) and rght on the line the 2XO $99 releases. Maybe Penelope Archiect?
I love my bourbon, but for less than $100 the rye category knocks it out of the park. The Angels Envy Finished is a good example. And as always great content sir.
I have never been disappointed with JD SBBP currently enjoying a 128.5 proof that's delicious. All the others in this video sound great except the Bullett BP, I didn't like that one at all. It's a bargain but not a good flavor profile.
I agree with your picks and would add Still Austin CS, Rebecca Creek Double Oaked, New Riff Single Barrels, Sagamore Barrel Strength, and Smoke Wagon Uncut and Unfiltered.
Picked up bottle of George Remus Single Barrel Barrel Proof -Store Pick 113.2 proof. If you can find a store pick it is a definite buy for around $60.

1792 full proof (especially the store picks) is my best value for bourbon. 62.5%, quintessential bourbon taste, and I found it for $50!
Was also able to find JD single barrel barrel proof on sale for $55!
I think the Bardstown origin series bottles would also be worth mentioning! Some of my absolute favorite bottles at the moment.
I agree. The BiB is one of my favorite.
Loved your top picks under a 100 bucks, what do you think about Bookers 2023 -3 selection for around 90 bucks?
Baker's 7 is one of my current favorites in the 60 dollar range and coming off of allocation at a lot of places
At $40.99 (in my area) Chattanooga 111 definitely belongs on this list. Fantastic high malt bourbon.
Barrel Vantage,Penelope barrel strength (*private selects), 4 Roses Small batch selects, Peerless small batch.
Great list WTWT, love to see my fav 1792 FP on the list! John J Bowman is one that I would have included in my list also...
What a Hit List! Buy 1 if these a month and have a hell of a 2024 set up!
The cask strength releases of Emerald Giant, Pipe Dream and Lost Monarch are all deserving (IMHO)
Hey Matt, I'm interested in future barrel picks. How do I get in on those?
Same here. Where can we learn about picking up one of your picks!!
Since you mentioned the Russell's SiB store picks and the OF 1920, I would add the Elijah Craig and OF SiB
Hi Matt, thank you for the warmest of welcomes to this video/your RUclips Channel. Always a pleasure to be here!
The Bardstown Origin Series are good values
100% agree! Such great stuff at an incredible price.
Blue Note uncut unfiltered at 122.7. This brown juice is awesome.
I have almost all of those. But a favorite of mine that ain't gonna impress but is a good sip is Evan Williams Bottled In Bond.
Smoke Wagon UCUF is always a great go to for high proof MGP distillate under $100 for me.
Whats something yall would sip neat for 40$ little over and or a little under that price?
great list...I would add a Juke Joint uncut store pick. Their everywhere for $45ish and are really good. Smoke Wagon uncut as well for around $55.
How does one get their hands on the ADHD Barrel pick bourbon? Patreon, lottery 3:06 ?
Here in MN ive been lucky to see knob 12 at a store for $57.99! Even at the local total wine it is $67.99
How about ASW Georgia Heartwood call strength, Redwood Empire Pipe Dreams cask strength, Smoke Wagon uncut unfiltered, Old Forester Single Barrell Store pick, or Penelope Toasted Barrel?
Good discussion. I would add JJ Bowman Single Barrel, WT KY Spirit, and Chattanooga (single barrels and BIB). Cheers!
I got a 1792 bottled in bond barrel pick and it’s one of my favorites
Good on you for plugging your picks. 100% agree that they're some of the best bottles you can buy for under a C note.
Definitely would have put John J Bowman. An amazing pour for about $60
Wilderness Trail turns out some pretty solid bottles, Doc Swinson and Driftless Glen too.
Agree on Old Forester 1920, Knob Creek 12, are my under a Benjamin 2023..Add Wyoming whiskey Barrel Strength..
You got four of my favorites, Larceny BP, Rare Breed, and the the 2 Knob Creeks. I've always said that 12 Yr KC is the best bottle under $100.
How does one access your barrel picks?
I’d add Makers 46 Cask Strength, Ezra Cask, New Riff Single Barrel, and while low proof… OF 1910 and Woodford Double Oak.
What about Bardstown Origin Series, solid for under $50.
I would have added a Sagamore on the list. I'm also surprised you didn't include the Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye on the list.
Look at what pingwax posted. If you can get to the drier vent from the outside it is much much easier to clean.
So yes Great List of every day finds even in NC ABC Stores
Doc Swinson series, Barrell, and Bakers 7 are some of my favorite
I’m a big fan of the Ben Holladay BIB. Their Soft Red Wheated BIB 6yr is another solid choice, and they recently released their Barrel Proof which is awesome.
Just picked the Red up on the way through MO yesterday!
I’m a big fan of the Bardstown Bottled In Bond. Also, the New Riff Single Barrel, especially at the higher proofs. I’ve had a couple bottles over 110 proof, tasty tasty!
Rebecca Creek Double Barrel Bourbon!! Phenomenal bourbon!!!
If I could only find it!
Nice list! I recently had to unclog my dryer hose. If your dryer is next to an external wall it may pay to attack it from the outside. The clog I had was at the vent flaps on the outside wall.
6:12 Ha! My Rebel 10 year bottles were filled on the same date, 5 barrels away from yours. Nice. ✊🥃
Great list, but you need to try the Blue Note uncut unfiltered at 122 proof … has a 5 minute Kentucky hug ! Amazing 4 year bourbon , yes 4 year .
Looking forward to your take on C923 Matt!
Coopers Craft 100 has hit high marks for me as of late. Also Maker's 101 is killer. Craft wise, loving Ragged Branch bib and cowboy cut offerings!
Chattanooga Whiskey 111
Still Austin Cask Strength
Bardstown Origin Rye
ASW Fiddler Georgia Heartwood
Sagamore Double Oak
13th Colony Bourbon
My list would include Still Austin CS and Alberta Premium Rye CS. I’m not sure on distribution but they are fantastic. Great list
Yes, Yes they are........
Bakers 7 Heaven Hill BIB are bottles that are very good for the money may not be everyone’s jam but that’s the way bourbon work’s different strokes for different folks. Great list some seriously heavy hitters here for a great price usually.
I’m a big fan of Widow Jane Lucky 13
Great pick's, Cheers...
For under $100 I would certainly add Penelope Barrell Strength and John J Bowman.
I’d add Frey Ranch barrel strength.
I know you're not a Maker's Mark fan but any and all of their limited releases (Wood Finishing Series), Private Release store picks, and the Maker's 46 Cask Strength are all winners. I have had many bourbons from Barrell Craft Spirits and everyone of them is worth their price!
Nice Realistic list. Some of those I'll go look for,
Solid List through and through.
I’m well prepared for the rest of autumn 🤌🏾
great list. Need to try the rebel 10 cheers
Frey ranch barrel strength picks are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Blocked dryer vents are the #1 cause of house fires. A non working dryer was best possible outcome for you
I love your work Matt
soooo pretty much all my favs? got it. THANKS BUDDY!
So glad to see Rebel 10 in the mix. Absolutely crushable. Was one of my favorite bottles last year and stoked to have been able to pick up another this year!
Rebel 10 will always jam
This a great list. I’m partial to the Backbone Uncut. I’ve been through about 8 bottles of it.
+ Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon
+ Penelop Architech
+ Still Austin Cask strength
many ryes but leaving them off this list.
JJB SiB.. Fantastic
Bardstown origin white label has been my budget pour this year. Super solid
I would say the Boulder pick of yours is my favorite bottle this year. You nailed it.
Just about anything from Starlight. They’re delightful.
P/U a Nelson Bros Reserve at a CA Total Wine for $39.99 + tx really good IMO. I know there are a lot of Belle Meade folks hatin' on it, so good, leave the Nelson's for the rest of us.
Barrell batch 035. Don't miss out. And I agree with everyone on Bardstown Origin.
Nice picks. Def would've added a Barrel Craft. Maybe Penelope, Nulu, Sagamore, Wilderness Trail and Driftless Glen too.
New Riff, Still Austin, and Bardstown. Hard to beat knob creek 12 year, Rare Breed for the $.
Great list, cheers 🥃
I know it's a little harder to find but one I don't hear a lot about that I was surprised by is the bernheim cask strength!
I just tried that at Heaven Hill two days ago. Probably my biggest surprise on the bourbon trail! I didn't buy one because my suitcase was hitting critical mass and now I regret it.
@mike98024 lol that is too bad however now you have another bottle to hunt!!!
I have most you mentioned plus about 5 or 6 specials I have over $100, I can come up with a dozen more. But with my Scotch, Rum, Irish,Tequila with a few Brandy's I have I don't spend more than $75 on a pour. P.S Buy extra corks the T-corks on most bottles fail eventually, or the Angels keep visiting your stash. Cheers.
really like that Ben's BIB
Green River, Bardstown Origin
I've got about a dozen different Barrell products that meet those criteria.
4 more come to mind, no particular order.
Bakers 7, ~$60. Great Beam product, sweeter than Knob Creek
Four Roses Small Batch Select, ~$55.
Agree with Bardstown Origin Series. That stuff is delicious!
KC 9 year SiB is solid
Barrell Bourbon batches are some great finds for under a hundy
Old Soul cask strength from Mississippi is soo…. Good!!! I’d definitely add to the list
I love my bourbon, but for less than $100 the rye category knocks it out of the park. The Angels Envy Finished is a good example. And as always great content sir.
Love icr and is genesis history.
That’s a damn good list. I know that because I have most of those bottles. ThanksMatt for another good video, 😎🥃 cheers.
Great list, I think we’re missing New Riff Single Barrel and Widow Jane. But a solid list none the less.
Redwood Empire Bonded and/or Cask Strength.
👏🔥gr8 list.
I have never been disappointed with JD SBBP currently enjoying a 128.5 proof that's delicious. All the others in this video sound great except the Bullett BP, I didn't like that one at all. It's a bargain but not a good flavor profile.
