👋 Hey everyone! In this month's art challenge we are going to be painting an illustration using a cubist style in Procreate! Let me tell you all about it and the exclusive FREE Procreate brush and color palette that you can download from my Gumroad page during June 2024.

I'm giving you a new art prompt, FREE Procreate brush and color palette every month! The challenge is to draw or paint something based on the given art prompt using just the brush and color palette provided. Join the fun by posting your art on social media using the hashtags mentioned in this video!
👉 IMPORTANT: Make sure to download the freebies for each month on time, because they will be replaced by the next month's freebies as soon as the new month starts! After the current challenge and freebies are gone, they will be back as a paid product in the "Challenge of the Month 2024 Compilation Set" that will be released in January 2025. It’s easier than it seems! Just make a shape with the selection tool, then paint inside with the brush. It’s easier than it looks because you only focus on one shape at a time, and it’s basically painting with simple silhouettes all the time. Layer shapes on top of each other tu build up your illustration like playing with Legos 😊 You got this!

Muy interesante, a ver cómo me sale…😅 Una pregunta: Qué tamaño de lienzo has usado para este dibujo? Obviamente me interesa maximizar el numero de capas. Muchas gracias por todo, la paleta de colores es muy bonita y de las mejores que has ofrecido, y el pincel también es muy interesante.😊

Muchas gracias! Como yo los hago en el propio documento para el challenge, en este caso utilizo un lienzo que uso para todas las imágenes de mis productos, que es de 8,5 x 8,5 pulgadas a 300 DPI. Pero puedes hacerlo en cualquier tamaño que prefieras

Sneaky way to study shapes!

nope nope nope I tried a flower, I tried a boat, I tried a face, I tried just shapes but I cannot do this! The brushes are amazing but I am not able to consistently get the shapes I would want using the shape tool. Sorry I would love to be such an amazing artist as you but nope I am really struggling with this challenge. Will try again but it's not happening the way you showed. sad though I really thought I could push myself with this one!

If you’re struggling to do the shapes by drawing them freehand with the selection tool, try lifting your pen and tapping in the screen in the next spot to use the selection tool in polygonal mode. This way it is easier to get the shapes you want because you have plenty of time to decide where to tap with your pencil next, and it also fits better the challenge, because the point is cubism anyway, so polygonal shapes work better than organic/freehand ones. I hope this helps!
