How to Repair a Pickguard Part 2

  • This is the second part of the little project I did to fix and improve the design of my Squire by Fender P-Bass Precision bass.
    My modification basically makes the pickguard really similar to a Fender Jazz Bass, because I replaced part of the plastic pickguard with a metal piece.

      +Life Genesis (TheLifeGenesis) Cutting and shaping the metal panel took many hours of my time (I did it using hand tools). Unfortunately, for the amount of time it would take me, it would end up costing significantly more than a reasonable person would be willing to pay. Maybe you can find a local fabricator in your community who is set up for this kind of work.
