My mom always loved this song and she turned up the radio every time she heard it in the car and loved singing it and dance in the car I can't help but think of her when I hear this she was a funny lady that always made me smile ..I really miss her RIP mom.
I recently found out that my bio father used to play this song on his guitar all the time. I wish I could’ve met him. He had good music taste. RIP, Skip.
I was there during this filming with my father. These guys were great and had a great time. We never thought, in our wildest dreams, that this music video would continue to be watched so many times by so many people.
Remarkable that almost 50 years later, I just heard this song in a local Walgreens in Virginia. (I listened to it as a kid in Canada -- may well have had the single.)
I read somewhere that when the decision to use a banjo in the recording (since it's mentioned in the lyrics), they went and bought one from a local pawn shop. Since no one who how to play a banjo, it was tuned like a guitar. When they finished recording, they returned the banjo to the pawn shop. Whenever it was played live, they just stuck with the guitar.
Halloween 1971! Perfect song for the time. Brand new trick or treat music. 5¢ candy bars, 10¢ Cokes, Pepsi's, Royal Crowns. 10¢ Hostess pies! Great time to be a kid. USA was still great country then. 2022? Nah!
My great uncle joe was there in the audience when this was filmed back in the day. Sad thing is he was asked to leave after he said they were lip-syncing.
I find it strange that you can get banjo sound from an electric guitar. Plus the rhythms from guitar to Banjo do not match. I guess we are looking back at the first attempts of lip sinking and audio sinking.
La escucho desde que tengo 12 años ya voy por los 54 aún la disfruto😊❤

My mom used to like "dirty deeds done dirt cheap" by ACDC...now THAT'S weird! 😆
R.I.P. mom.
That double neck Fender is rare. Love this song!

Man, this brings back to good memories from the 70's! Man I miss times.
Still love this song … who could sit still to this 💕💕💕🇨🇦
Cowbell! And a double neck Fender with built in Banjo sound. Great song!
The banjo is on a soundtrack. Why would the electric guitar have built in banjo?
DUB over dude.
1971 - It seems like yesterday I was a boy who was naive and full of hope and dreams.

Missing some instruments, like the banjo.
Yeah, where is the featured banjo player? It gives the song its flavor.
I filmed this piece and remember you in the audience .. peace out bro
@@gschady I wish I could remember other people there that far back. I don’t remember you, unfortunately. You did such a great job.

Great music.
My grandparents' first language was French, and I can remember playing the French lyric version of this for my grandmother.

I'm sorry ,but that was funny. Gotta love his honesty however.
And he probably said “where’s that banjo sound coming from?”
Whatever happened to the Blondie TopPop Special from 28/08/78 that we were hoping to see?
