I never walked the bridge. For the longest time flying to Buffalo then drive to Burlington, ont. Always dud the falls on the Canadian side. This is a great view point.

Grew up in Niagara Falls USA, but live in Florida, since retiring from the Navy in 1988.
Walked across the bridge many, many times when growing up.
On the outside rail is a bronze plaque marking the actual border (you can see it real quick in the video).

Do you have to have a passport?
As far as I know you need a proof of citizenship and identity. Americans need a valid U.S. passport, passport card, or NEXUS card. Other nationals need passport, maybe a visa, and whatever documentation they need for getting back into the US. 😃
