Yeah, you’ll love their song “Shout!” Their biggest hit! 🎼🎹🎤Shout, Shout, let it all out.”🎤🎼🎹 ❤️✌️✨
These are the things we can do without. I hope you live to tell the tale.❤❤❤❤❤😇😇😇😇😎😎😎
Yes!!!
Shout is a banger🎵🎧🎶🤘💯🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@illianarod32 : Don't forget head over heels.
Easily one of my favorite bands of the 80s! 💕Right behind Culture Club. 🎶🎤🙌🤩
this is a proper band, quality song writing, brilliant music.
They really are the G.O.A.Ts !!!
agreed
There pen game was 🔥🔥🔥
@@xoxxobob61 no.
They're from the 20th century when talent was real.
Mad World, Shout, Mothers Talk, Head Over Heels, Break it Down Again
Woman In Chains is a really great song of theirs.
Always been Change off of The Hurting... prefer the extended version, but the official video is worth the watch.
ruclips.net/video/nk_FuZobIfw/видео.html
Sowing the Seeds of Love, The Working Hour. Just about any song of theirs is good really.
@@MeMeVoyageOf yes!! awesome song
@Dan McComiskie I thought her name was Odessa. I think that's another singer with a sweet voice!
"Shout" and "Head Over Heels" and congratulations on one-hundred thousand subs.
Yes!
Yes!!!!!!!
Hell yea, these songs are mandatory! AND Head Over Heals would be yet another song on the Donnie Darko soundtrack (he already did the Mad World cover, which is also originally by Tears For Fears). I love this band enough as it is, the Donnie Darko connection just makes it exponentially better.
Yes!!!
"Woman in chains "will totally get you too.it got me in my teenagers years and still does.
Crowded House- don't dream it's over( live at Sydney opera house) goosebumps for sure boss
Mr. Video yes!!!!! This!!!!
Yesssss!
Thank you for blessing me with that version
Yessss
Yes, yes, YES!
make sure to get some Duran Duran in during your 80's music binge!
Great idea!!!!!
- Duran Duran, "Hungry like the Wolf," "Girls on Film," and "Planet Earth."
Bros?
Reflex and Wild Boys by Duran Duran were always my faves.
Now there ya go! Lol
This is one of the best songs for the 1980’s. Love it 😍
this is the anthem of the 80s.....brings back many, many pleasant memories
This is one of those freeway songs when you roll your windows down, put your top down and just cruise with your radio is loud as it'll go.
you should've seen how fast I came here when I saw your notification I love Tears for fears they're one of my favourite bands
the guy singing is Curt Smith he was around 24 when this song came out and the guy playing the guitar is Roland Orzabal
please do "Shout" next
Me too☺️
@@carmenmehringer9765 I love them soo much
Same
Thanks for the info...I was trying to remember Roland Orzabal. I know he came out with his own cd too.I loved it!
@@artycin1 you're welcome
I always associate this song with the end of the Val Kilmer movie "Real Genius" when the house is blowing up after being stuffed with popcorn kernels and shot with a laser from orbit.
😂😂👏👏 yes I love that movie its awesome. Especially the popcorn scene 😊😊
My favorite 80s movie of all time
Seeds of Love
Cars by Gary Numan .. I think you'll really enjoy that one.
That & the group "The Cars" as well.
Speaking of cars...check put the group Cars.
I used to hate Tears For Fears while I was a teenager. Then as I got older I actually started paying attention to their lyrics and realized that they are some master songwriters. It's still not my favorite type of music but I have a lot of respect for this group now.
They really are very good songwriters. You should listen to their songs from the album "The Hurting" which came out before their pop hits. It's more New Wavy and dark by comparison.
Sucks the bias stays with you even now
Hey hey! “Shout” is a must!! 🧡❤️✌️
Best pop band of the 80's.
Your loving the 80's today
I know I'm not on your patreon, but please listen to Depeche Mode... Personal Jesus.
Gen X, represent!

Yes!!! I still listen to Depeche Mode almost daily. I have my 11 year old obsessed with them. She wears my concert t-shirt to the point where I have to hide it. Any song from Violator, Music for the Masses. She plays Just can't get enough almost on constant replay I could go on and on. She's takes after her momma. Sorry got excited to see another DM FAN.
100k?!? Congrats!!!
Edited: never realized this song and “the way you make me feel” have a very similar beat.
I also realised it when he pointed it out
Worth mentioning that this song came out at least 2 years earlier though! :)
@@BardOfAndromeda yeaaah true
See, ......young, fresh ears. Lol
That would be a great mash up
It is in the movie Real Genius.
mr. video my wife and i are so impressed with you.you make me laugh more than i have in years. we got a big kick as usual from you watching you react to billy idol rebel yell. there is an ocean of really good music out there. we have experinced for decades. you are major cool dude. aloha from hawaii.
Nice comment
You need to react to “Maniac” by Michael Sembello! Was in the 80s movie Flashdance. So catchy!!
Dude, you should totally get a cut from all the songs I am fixing to buy from Itunes because of your reactions!
LOL, I hear ya! 😂
Nice comment
@@candyabernethy997 Exactly!
React to Rexys midnight runners - "Come on Eileen"
Dexy's Midnight Runners - great song!
I'm old enough to remember when this came out we had 4 tv channels only in UK at that time this song was everywhere couldn't not hear it on radio wherever you went, I'm sure my middle brother loved these, I'm old 🙈🙈🙈🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
So am I unfortunately! :P
It was my favourite song when I was 11. Around Easter 1985 I think. And we couldn't pick up Channel 4 in our area in those days! Haha :D
@@BardOfAndromeda I was about 6 when this came out so maybe 4 nearly 5 when ch4 came out my mum was beyond excited then we moved to a flat and couldn't get it any more it was twisting the indoor ariel all the time and giving up 😂😂😂😂 ahhh good memories

Kate Bush - Running up that hill - funkin unbelievably good 80’s hit! Check check it out!!! 😎
Yeah, great song. Helped me quit smoking and drugs.
Ive said this songs loads, she's sublime
As a person who grew up in the 80's, this band was ALL over the radio and MTv for a good decade or so. They were unstoppable. And the singer you are saying is so young, Curt Smith, was born in 1961. He was 25 in this video.
“SHOUT” is a must listen from them!!
I went to see them in concert when I was twelve! Now you need to react to The Cure, "Just Like Heaven"
So this must have been the year before we started flipping the collars up on our polos
1982
😂🥰
isnt it fun to smoke a joint and watch mr. V ? regarding tears for fears "shout" is their best . it's a fugue thats properly done (has many layers on top of each other, layers that were introduced 1 at a time ) shout is perhaps the most iconic early-80s-song.
Disturbed does it better but must hear original 1st for sure
Please do some more song reviews! U R BRILLIANT ❤
One of the best songs ever made. Never gets old and always makes me feel good when I hear it. If somebody can't group to this then they got no soul
You GOTTA check out their song "Sowing The Seeds of Love." A masterpiece!
They young cos its the 80s, 40 years ago lol😊. Listen to their biggest hit Shout. That lives with you forever, the first bar and you know Exactly what the song is and your singing along with it. 👍🎶
Another great throwback.. Had to enjoy a bowl while watching this.
THIS is the song that defines the 80’s...Period, Point Blank.
Yes sir best song of all time in the history of music regardless of genre's!!!
yes, right on point....the anthem of the 80s, for me.
Some fun facts for ya, man. This song was originally titled "Everybody Wants To Go To War," but was re-named because it didn't feel right to the twin brothers in Tears For Fears. So they took the line "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" from The Clash's 'Charlie Don't Surf,' and used it to re-title the song. The song's hypnotic bass line comes from Simple Minds 'Waterfront,' and most likely later inspired Michael Jackson to make the song 'The Way You Make Me Feel.'
Do check out The Clash when you can. They're my favorite band of all-time, and I am certain you'd love them. In addition to 'Charlie Don't Surf,' here are 5 songs I think you should listen to from them.
'London Calling'
'Rock The Casbah'
'Clampdown'
'Ghetto Defendant'
'I Fought The Law'
Just came across this video now. Twin brothers in Tears For Fears?? There are no brothers in TFF!!! There's Curt Smith & Roland Orzabal. They aren't related at all but became friends at a very young age and grew up together in Bath England.

Tears for Fears - Head Over Heals!
Ah! Best! 👏🏻👏🏻
this song came out in march 1985. michael's "the way you make me feel" was november 1987. so yeah michael took another good hook.
Please react to " Alice's Restaurant/ Original 1967 performance" by Arlo Guthrie.
Yesss!!! The group W bench!!
Every October, I start thinking about that song because I know Thanksgiving is coming. It's a tradition to watch the movie after our meal. Great song! Great movie! Great cult classic!
@@RinniePere what are you in here for?
Littering.... and creating a nuisance.
Yes! This would be perfect for Thanksgiving!
I listen to it every Thanksgiving (and I occasionally will watch the movie, too). 💜💜💜
WEEEEEEE! Tears for fears!!! A little alternative music from the 80s! Can't wait to see what you think about it.
Congrats on the 100k. Defo give "SHOUT" an airing. used to be sung a soccer game,s. Please give jerry rafferty baker street a "SHOUT" (see what i did their bro) HEE, HEE.
This song always makes me feel soooo good. So nostalgic. So emotional but also makes me happy
Try Head over heels. It's their best in my opinion. Also use in a great scene from the movie Donnie Darko. Also check out the band Bush, either little things or machinehead. Both are great songs.
This beat and base, or a slight variation, is all over damn near every corner of the 80's pop lists. Congrats on the 100k!! Thank you Mr.Video🙏
If I was writing an arrangement, I would call this groove "Easy Pop Shuffle."
Congrats 100k!!!😊🥰
Big fan of Tears to Fears. Their 2nd album “Songs from the Big Chair” came out in 1985 and made them world famous. Many of their songs are in several movies which brought their music to a younger audience. They broke up and have reunited a few times in the 2000’s. They released a greatest hits album in 2017. You’ll have to check out some of their other songs.
100k! Congrats!
Tears for Fears 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World
' came out a few years before Michael Jackson's 'The Way You Make Me Feel'. Quincy Jones (Michael Jackson's producer) claims that Michael Jackson stole the bass line for the song and that M.J. also plagiarised many other songs for several of his biggest hit records.
music only has so many chords and rhythm that I doubt you can call it stealing or plagiarism, The Way You Make Me Feel and this song both follow a shuffle pattern in their songs and considering that many producers were using the same synthesizers and drum machines it's not hard to have a song sound too close to each other at that time. Prince even admitted he had to call Journey after he created Purple Rain because he felt like it sounded too close to Faithfully. So it's not uncommon for artists to make a record that sounds very close to another record because again very limited amount of chords in music that hasn't been used in a certain way.
@@jordashi I never said it was stealing or plagiarism, Quincy Jones (Michael Jackson's music producer) did. Don't shoot the messenger.
@@Music-tg5isAnd I thought Quincy was writing and composing music for Michael. Sooo.....
@@elisageorge1798 ....he's probably an informed and knowledgeable authority on the matter.

Oh my lord I agree I'm an absolute fanatic about the Waterboys. All those and "We Will Not Be Lovers" too!
They actually came to a little town near me a few years ago because a guy named Ted Yoder played this song on his hammered dulcimer. Its probably on RUclips, check it out.

Love this song, always have and always will. Thanks for reacting to Tears for Fears 😘
The opening lyrics for this song give me those goosebumps he's always talking about. Now is it too early for him to start getting into The Cure?
Nope never too early for The Cure.EVER.
What about it's Friday I'm in love the cure. Introduce slowley
@@susanwearn7042 slowly, quickly, I'm not fussed how or where he starts. I just want him to start. My fave Cure songs r the less well known but yr suggestion prob would be a good start. Or maybe Boys Don't Cry or Love Cats which r more upbeat & radio friendly. Hard for a die-hard like me to make a suggestion cos I love them all.
Happy 100K!
