It’s amazing that this game still holds up visually 7 years later. I just wish they invested more time in developing Unity because there was so much potential. It deserved so much more. If a game with these graphics and parkour mechanics was released this year then you wouldn’t even question it.
Had no bugs during my playthrough so with a clear mind i can tell you this game was on of the best looking and most innovative assasins creed to date. Shame what happened
Yep. I bought Unity long after it's released. By then, all the game breaking bugs have been patched, resulting in a smooth experience, to the point I honestly don't understand why Unity got bashed so much if I didn't looked around the internet and saw the bugs and glitches at release. 😂 It taught me valuable lesson to never buy video games at release, in modern day.
I don't know why they didn't expand and fully finish characters like Arno and Connor. Its annoying because if they got atleast ONE more game people would like them more.
I think there should be an Assassins Creed game about Connor, Arno, and Edward later in their lives. Like one game dedicated to three characters, with each getting their own section. A section about Edward being an Assassin in London and investigating the shroud. A section about Connor being the Colonial Mentor. And a section about Arno being a Master Assassin in Paris and maybe him finding Shay.
@@C_Cooke he wont find shay if he did he wont kill it. its better that Arno never finds who killed his dad it shows the assassination training Shay had was effective. and we all know shay dies as a retired Grand Master and as an old man.
This game is good if you play it on PC or Next Gen Console with 60 Fps, on the base last gen it's still pretty much unplayable, and gives constant headache because of the terrible frame rate and slower movement
@@ratamahatta5306 I suppose it's just been luck from my end, but I played on my base PS4 and I never encountered any of these glitches😅 Plus I've never been one to get all hot and bothered over stuff like "60fps" and whatnot, personally, so I suppose that adds up as to why I enjoyed it over a lot of others
Anyone remember why Unity was so unique back then? Not only because of the (at that time) new parkour mechanics, but also because of the ability to play missions with friends. I hear/see no one ever talk about that one. And I find it fairly sad that it first up hasn't been really perfected and secondly hasn't been added to the newer ACs. And aswell as that.. I now see that the multiplayer in general has been somewhat abandoned.. while I have always liked it in a way.
you know, while the parkour animations in Unity were great, the most impressive thing about it was how smooth and fluid the transitions were between movements. best I've seen in any game with parkour yet
Heart melting perfection. Some of the moves were unbelievably new & awesome. They should have reused the parkour physics of Unity. Such a great game. Hope to see some more parkour videos.
Thanks man. I'm thinking of doing one like this for AC1. It might take a while though. I also thought I might start uploading some stealth gameplay too.
Do it with any AC i will still watch it man and yes please do stealth will definitely watch that. I personally love all the AC games so do what your heart believes

Thanks :) though keep in mind that most of these clips took several attempts before they were good enough. Most of the time my movement does not look nearly as smooth.
i remember the hype for unity. and i thought the multiplayer had so much potential. Now days AC is just a knock off version of the Witcher. doesn't even feel like AC anymore.
@@hmmm413 whatever the case may be, AC doesn't feel like AC anymore. i was hoping that they would perfect the old mechanics one day until they switched to the new mechanics.
No yeah I completely agree on that. AC is getting worse and worse since they stopped making the storyline around the creed. However it's putting AC Odyssey in a pedestal by saying it's somewhat similar to TW3, it's just another RPG.
Chase By Chase Basis is still honestly one of the best tracks I've heard. Like I know it's a long list, but damn- next to the main theme of AC, this is the one I remember the most
Whoa, I still remember playing AC1 when it first came out in 2007, and I was shocked at how interactive every single surface was. I spent the first 30 minutes of that game climbing the same building over and over because my previous game had been Prince of Persia Two Thrones, and as cool as that one was, it was scripted through and through. The liberty of climbing anything and jumping anywhere was so mindblowing that I didn't even mind nonexistent plot, dumb combat, and otherwise empty locations with nothing to do but hop from rooftop to rooftop. I was 12 at the time, and now as a 30yo man I get almost the same feeling playing Unity.
I love the parkour, but the environment is what really made me love the game, just the fact that there's chaos, the messy environment which allows more parkour opportunities and the details of what happens when you parkour over certain things really made the parkour even better for me, Syndicate has the same parkour but the environment isn't as messy and the buildings are so far apart that they had to make the zipline thing for that problem
Probably the last AC game I genuinely enjoyed. Loved the style they went with for the environment and assassins. It all just felt darker, bleaker, more realistic. Never had a bug with this game. Only wish the online was more fleshed out at launch.
This parkour in the game was the reason why I Got it I stopped getting other assasins creed games because it’s no longer an assassins creed game this is what it should be in my eyes
I love how this game didn't drag you by your hair from one location to the next, didn't force the story down your throat, allowed you to actually feel like an assassin instead of a slave
For people who doesn't like the super long jumps, you can just hold high profile key while traversing and just press the jump button if you need to climb something. Don't hold high profile and jump button cause arno will definetly do the super long jumps that makes him seem like flying/floating.
Still blows my mind how he literally DIVES to the edge of something. I remember doing that first going “wait where the hell is the haystack?” Just to see him leap from a tall building down to a rope
Unity actually has the best freerunning imo, the parkour is in fact most not realistic, but it makes you feel like a total badass when you make these far leaps, its such a smooth parkour system, and sometimes being unrealistic can be fun, so...it definitely had the best parkour in any AC game
Agreed. I've been playing a lot of AC games recently(most recent was Valhalla) and it has the same basic parkour that odessy and origins had. Unity I have yet to play but I love watching videos of the parkour and practically begging myself to work so I can buy it lol
Still playing this masterpiece! Maybe everyone hate it, because others hate it too, but I guess that lots of them doesn't even try Unity.. BTW.. Nice video, keep it up
I will never understand how people can control Arno so smoothly, it feels like a choir to control him when I play, never jumping where I want him to or jumping down when I'm holding the "free-run up" button and trying to get him to grab something right infront of him.
People don't know the difference between "parkour animation" and "parkour movement fidelity" these unitytards think unity got the best parkour because of the "parkour animation" and they do this unconsciously. Once, i tried to explain this and it went through their heads.
I finshed unity 100%, have all outfits and upgrades too And i still play it because the map of Paris and graphics are gorgeous, the parkour is the best then all other ac games (in my opinion) And i like helping noobs to finish co-op missions.
this has been my first ac since 2 and i am loiving it!, the combat and the parkour are amazing, and its sad cause the rest of the series doesnt seem to offer nearly as much depth and challenge, in 2 i remember being able to counter small armies endlessly

It taught me valuable lesson to never buy video games at release, in modern day.
This parkour in 60 fps must be a porn to see
???
The fuck what
@@WorlWyrm lol why reply to a comment 11 months old, but anyways good tosee people love seeing unity and praising it :)

Eh, the animation blending issues persist at all frame rates. AC3’s animation work claps AC Unity’s any day of the week.
So I finally found it again, the video that introduced me to the AC series, and also my burning love for ACU. Thank you for the video man
Unity have the most satisfying animations among all Assassin's Creed titles... Origins and Odyssey's physics seems downgraded...
Ye
Definetly not
John Vlad nah origins was phenomenal
@@keanulck he's talking about the animations which are better in unity than origins
probably cause ubisoft used an older engine for doing ac origins/odyssey, them used the same engine of ac black flag.
This game got so much shit it's depressing. Arno should get another game.
Me in 2018: not realistic at all

It had technical issues that’s why it got a bad rep but not anymore I think

Anyone remember why Unity was so unique back then? Not only because of the (at that time) new parkour mechanics, but also because of the ability to play missions with friends. I hear/see no one ever talk about that one. And I find it fairly sad that it first up hasn't been really perfected and secondly hasn't been added to the newer ACs. And aswell as that.. I now see that the multiplayer in general has been somewhat abandoned.. while I have always liked it in a way.
The Hunt mode was really cool
Hasn't been anything new addd to AC? have you played them?
The parkour in Assassin's Creed Unity is so smooth
you know, while the parkour animations in Unity were great, the most impressive thing about it was how smooth and fluid the transitions were between movements. best I've seen in any game with parkour yet
Heart melting perfection. Some of the moves were unbelievably new & awesome. They should have reused the parkour physics of Unity. Such a great game. Hope to see some more parkour videos.
AC: Unity was an incredible game, one of the best for me, I never had bad enough issues to whinge about back at launch either.
Simply beautiful, it was a pure bliss to do parkour in Unity. Pity though it lacked everything else.
If you got the time keep making content like this, i love it
Thanks man. I'm thinking of doing one like this for AC1. It might take a while though.
I also thought I might start uploading some stealth gameplay too.
Do it with any AC i will still watch it man and yes please do stealth will definitely watch that. I personally love all the AC games so do what your heart believes

Even still, this looks better than Mirage's parkour 10 years later.
And I am distraught over that
I was hoping Mirage would be a return to _this_ form. But...nah

Agreed. Surprised at how much applause Mirage is getting despite looking like a reskin of old AC games without enhancing anything on the technical level

Actually This was my favorite AC in Terms of gameplay and fun
6 years later Unity still has one of the most detailed and impressive game worlds of this generation.
How i see doing parkour :
How other see me parkour : falls at a chair
i remember the hype for unity. and i thought the multiplayer had so much potential. Now days AC is just a knock off version of the Witcher. doesn't even feel like AC anymore.
Comparing AC and TW3 isn't the way to go bruh
@@hmmm413 so you're telling me the last 2 AC games are not influenced by The Witcher 3?
They are influenced by RPGs, not TW3 specifically.
Arguably the greatest parkour system in the history of gaming
Chase By Chase Basis is still honestly one of the best tracks I've heard. Like I know it's a long list, but damn- next to the main theme of AC, this is the one I remember the most
A game built for the ps4 and Xbox one having better graphics than most modern games nearly 10 years later is mind blowing.
Who else watched this in bed and enjoy the video? :D
Damn. We took this game for granted.
Probably the last AC game I genuinely enjoyed. Loved the style they went with for the environment and assassins. It all just felt darker, bleaker, more realistic. Never had a bug with this game. Only wish the online was more fleshed out at launch.
Arno: Gravity? Never heard of it...
I would visit here now and then just to admire Unity's parkour with the Unity's music playing in the background. Let's all unite my assassin brothers.
This parkour in the game was the reason why I
Got it I stopped getting other assasins creed games because it’s no longer an assassins creed game this is what it should be in my eyes

I love how this game didn't drag you by your hair from one location to the next, didn't force the story down your throat, allowed you to actually feel like an assassin instead of a slave
When Assassin’s Creed strived for ambition!!!!!!!😍🔥😭👍🏾
For people who doesn't like the super long jumps, you can just hold high profile key while traversing and just press the jump button if you need to climb something. Don't hold high profile and jump button cause arno will definetly do the super long jumps that makes him seem like flying/floating.
If they removed that flying i think this should be objectively the best ac parkour ever

I know this game had its issues, but the setting along with the best parkour in AC made it so enjoyable.
I finshed unity 100%, have all outfits and upgrades too
And i still play it because the map of Paris and graphics are gorgeous, the parkour is the best then all other ac games (in my opinion)
And i like helping noobs to finish co-op missions.
