I notice the exact same with the tidal app through my hifi rose rs130, but it sounds fantastic logged into the streamer. The streamers app, which is basically just a remote, sounds great as well bc the streamer is logged in - my understanding is the app sends the audio through the phone to the streamer. Not the same gear, just figured it would be good info to reiterate.
Why do all these hi-fi companies use the annoying USB B socket? Its such a pain having to buy the old-school printer type cable just for my hifi gear compared to the universal USB3 or preferably, USB C that pretty much every electronic uses.
Is this about Forte 1 or Tidal vs Apple Music comparison? Man - half of this very short video is about streming services and a part about speakers. I'v watch it and I still don't know anything about the Axxess amp!
OMG the Forte 3 is an $18,000 AUD amp. Even a quarter of that price is considerably more than I would ordinarily spend on hifi components. Edit, the Forte 1 costs $9,800 AUD. I won't be buying this either.
@@HiFiInsider bigger meaning in soundstage width and depth? How about in the mid bass punch? Are they relatively similar in dynamics? I'm considering between the two but leaning more towards the X2 due to space constraints. My room is ~15x20 with 8ft ceiling. Thanks
I really hope you don’t back up on that Airport anymore. Restoring is a really big load for hard drives and ones that old may fail. They would then fail when you need them most
I tried the newest Linksys purchased from Apple online and it was less consistent / reliable than the AirPort Extreme it replaced so I returned it after a week of use. Hope Apple makes a router again in the future. For privacy they tout, router is the gateway to the internet and they should own the hardware too.
You're a man of taste Mike with that Temptations playlist
Nice set-up❤ Thanks for the video
A shame they didn't include balanced analoge inputs for those who want to keep their external dac.

How is the headphone amp on it? I'm thinking about getting this and the new x1 to replace my current setup
So you have the Forte 1 and already longing for the Forte 3? What’s “wrong” with the 1?
Just curious, it looks like a marvelous piece of equipment!

I am also curious why you are not satisfied enough with Forte 1. I am considering purchasing it. Please elaborate on the sound, thanks.
I experienced the Forte 3 and that is the problem. Once you hear the next level you can't unhear it. The 1 is more than enough for most systems.
@@HiFiInsider that much better, okay. I think I better wait a while. Thanks
You said the chassis is aluminum, it is not aluminum at all which AGD disdains but instead is an anti resonant composite material.

Can you add bass and treble to the forte sound?

yep i agree. This "insider" delivers rather mundane content. Nothing special. Moving on...

Did you buy those speakers?
no... I would like to buy the next model X3 but I need to sell my Focal first.
Curious why you think the X3s? What is it on the X2s that you think is missing?
@@scslite5206 from my memory hearing the X3 at PAC show, it has a bigger sound.
