  • How To Fix Wireless Adapter Missing in Windows 11 [SOLVED]
Your wireless network adapter is missing on your Windows 11 PC? Don’t worry! Although it is frustrating, you’re not the only one to experience this issue. Many Windows 11 users have recently reported the very same issue.
If you are not seeing your network adapter on your computer, one of the reasons for this may be because you have an older network card driver installed on your computer. But, you don’t have to worry, fixes are available to solve this problem. If the problem is happening on your computer for the first time, try rebooting your computer and check if you can discover the network adapter on your computer.
Many Windows 11 PCs access the Internet using the wireless adapter. Still, wireless adapters can cause problems, especially if you don’t configure them properly.
This issue mainly shows up on certain laptop models. That’s not surprising at all, as laptops mainly use wireless networks after all.
    Issues addressed in this tutorial:
wireless adapter not working windows 11
    wireless adapter not working
wireless adapter not detected windows 11
wireless adapter not showing in device manager
wireless adapter not connecting to Wi-Fi
wireless adapter not appearing in device manager
    wireless adapter not connected
wireless adapter not connected to computer
wireless adapter not connecting automatically windows 11
    wireless adapter not detecting WIFI
    dell wireless adapter not working
    wireless adapter not enabling
    wireless adapter not fixed
    wireless adapter not found
wireless adapter not found windows 11
wireless adapter not found in device manager
ASUS laptop wireless adapter not found
    wireless network adapter not working
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.

when all else fails...this worked for me.... unplug the power to the laptop...power off the laptop....restart the laptop and hold the power button for 30 seconds and release..once all start-up icons appear, shut down for 1 minute....restart, wi-fi appeared and worked better than before. I tried about 7-10 different solutions from outstanding videos like this one. My problem happened after an update but all is working now.

Also i am here simply because my network adapter icon has disappeared from the network connections, thus unabled to connect to my wifi whatsoever. And not having the wifi icon on the taskbar to right click and forget and re add the password, makes it impossible to do. 🤷🏽‍♂ So i am very much desperate for a fix please as leaving the reset of my laptop to the last option.

I bought a new laptop last weekend loaded with W11, previous laptop was W10. I use a Microsoft Display Adapter plugged into the tv to cast wirelessly from my laptop, never had a problem on W10. However, when I tried connecting the new computer to the display adapter to cast to my tv, it recognized the Display Adapter, but when I clicked on it to cast, it would simply cancel after 20 seconds or so and display "couldn't connect". Plus I noticed the Smartcast icon was missing from RUclips videos, so something was clearly amiss. I researched online for over an hour for a solution, nothing I tried would fix the problem. Finally came across this video and even though it was much more intensive using command prompts, etc., I figured what the hell, let's give it a shot. Followed the video exactly, and when I was done I tried casting again. After about fifteen seconds the laptop screen was displayed on the tv, I couldn't believe it. Plus the Smartcast icon is back on RUclips videos. I bookmarked this video in case I ever have this problem again...thanks for posting a video that actually fixes a problem!

Well I just took off my laptop’s bottom part, searched a tutorial to find my wifi card to see if I could change it for myself and I found it, but it was covered with sth that I was too scared to remove because I didnt wanna fuck up my laptop. So I just pushed it down not too hard to see if it was a connection problem or sth. Cleaned the inside and I noticed that the screws were too tight soo I screwed it looser when I put my laptop’s bottom part back maybe sth was pushing the wifi card or messing with the connection, but afterwards it worked. Maybe I just had luck or I have magical hands but Im happy. (Also I have zero clue about computers, its just what worked for me 😅)

Hello I’ve been up all night trying to figure this out. I bought my laptop back in June 2021 and kk of a sudden my laptop won’t read my wifi. It’s not showing in settings and when I troubleshoot it it says there is no network adaptor installed. I’ve tried it all you showed here and nothing yet!? Please help! Do I need to swap wifi card?

Hey @MDTechVideos, I’ve been having the same problem as well with my new pc. My phone connects to the wifi so I know it’s a problem with the wifi adapter. Can you help me and @jamD please?
