His debate performance was more consistent with a commonly known phenomenon in neurology, whereby older individuals can be made to appear temporarily cognitively impaired if they are suffering from any sort of minor infection, including the head cold that he admitted to having that night. My source for asserting all of this? The fact that I am a board-certified neurologist (I trust you know how to google, you can verify that), and therefore actually legally qualified to diagnose dementia (while the media pundits are NOT qualified). Does it not bother you that the media keeps trotting out randos to give us unverifiable anecdotes about how they supposedly had concerns about Biden before, yet it still has not occurred to them to ask a qualified medical professional for an opinion about a medical issue? Additionally, does it not bother you that people are trying to “diagnose” Biden based on 1 outlier public appearance, yet are not calling Trump “demented” after rambling about sharks and batteries, mistaking Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi, forgetting that WWII already took place, etc?

Good info Karen. However, as a Black Democrat, I'm increasingly frustrated with our party's constant urgency during every election cycle, urging us to vote Democrat, yet consistently failing to address issues that directly impact the Black community.
For instance, a hate crime bill was swiftly signed for the Asian community, yet Black people, who have endured centuries of oppression in America, are still waiting for meaningful action. Systemic and institutional racism remain pervasive, yet little has been done to dismantle these structures.
The LGBTQ community often aligns itself with the Black movement and has seen more legislative successes under Democratic presidents than the Black community. The pushback against critical race theory is telling-efforts to pass this legislation were complicated by its connection to the LGBTQ community.
I'm tired of feeling compelled to vote Democrat when our needs are continually overlooked. We deserve more than empty promises and symbolic gestures. We need tangible, sustained efforts to address the injustices we face.

I feel like people should be more concerned with the fact that by replacing Biden as the party nominee 4 months ahead of the general election (a feat that has never in U.S. history successfully led to a party victory), we would lose this administration’s fundraising advantage, the incumbency advantage, and possibly even the name recognition advantage. Not to mention, it would disenfranchise (and piss off) tens of millions of voters who chose Biden in the primary. Do we really want to bank on being able to coerce/strong-arm enough of those voters into getting behind a new candidate after we disrespect them like that? How’d that work out with the hardcore Bernie supporters of 2016?
Not to mention the fact that this idea of Biden having “dementia” is a complete and utter fabrication being shoved down our throats by MSM (which is now almost entirely right-wing owned, even CNN if you didn’t know). If you watched Biden’s rally speech in NC the very next day after the debate, he was completely back to his old self. Dementia doesn’t behave like that; it is neither temporary nor episodic, and a demented person certainly would not magically (or medicinally for that matter) revert back to their pre-dementia state less than 24 hours later. His debate performance was more consistent with a commonly known phenomenon in neurology, whereby older individuals can be made to appear temporarily cognitively impaired if they are suffering from any sort of minor infection, including the head cold that he admitted to having that night. My source for asserting all of this? The fact that I am a board-certified neurologist (I trust you know how to google, you can verify that), and therefore actually legally qualified to diagnose dementia (while the media pundits are NOT qualified). Does it not bother you that the media keeps trotting out randos to give us unverifiable anecdotes about how they supposedly had concerns about Biden before, yet it still has not occurred to them to ask a qualified medical professional for an opinion about a medical issue? Additionally, does it not bother you that people are trying to “diagnose” Biden based on 1 outlier public appearance, yet are not calling Trump “demented” after rambling about sharks and batteries, mistaking Nikki Haley for Nancy Pelosi, forgetting that WWII already took place, etc?
