  • 90% sure Amynthas agrestis (Crazy Worm) makes another appearance in my Outdoor Worm Bin. Thanks again to "The Garden Lady and Worms" for Identifying it for us in the comments a couple of videos prior. They didn't move as crazy as the worms last time which is why I say only 90%. Slightly paler than internet pictures too.

    I'm chuckling because I cut up the grapes like I was feeding babies.
    And you look like a Chef creating a Signature Dish 🪱💕🪱

      😀I probably should have cut them. As soon as I picked them up I thought…well this is going to be boring for viewers as I squeeze each individual grape 😂 I really appreciate your support and advice!🪱🪱🪱

    is it a night crawler.

    • @Vermicompost
      @Vermicompost  Год назад

      I'm not sure if it is considered a night crawler but it certainly has stronger musculature than your typical composting worm. I think part of the problem of them spreading is in addition to getting transported in plants, they may make for good fishing worms because of their size and wriggly nature! Thanks so much for watching!!🪱🪱🪱

    Is it better to feed newspaper bits instead of dry leaves? what is more beneficial for the growth of worms?

    • @Vermicompost
      @Vermicompost  2 года назад

      I think dry leaves shredded up into small bits are a fantastic bedding. Newspaper is good when mixed with other bedding like cardboard shreds or leaves. Having different bedding mixed together helps to give it structure so air can get to all areas of the bin. Paper & newspaper alone tends to get matted down on itself. I hope this helps!! Thanks so much for watching & asking a great question!!🪱🪱🪱
