Tokyo rigs have been a staple in my kit for when I need to punch grass. You can use tungsten bullet weights to create an oval shaped weight that rips quietly through mats without issue.
If you are fishing sandy or pebble gravel bottom, check out the Jika rig for a more seamless presentation. I use the Jika rig both on finesse and medium-heavy setups depending on what they want and conditions call for.

I really like the presentation of the lure, at first I thought it looked just like an overcomplicated drop shot rig, but the underwater shot really made me wanna try it out, great vid!

That rod and reel set-up,as well as the 10 pound braid to 8 pound flouro leader is my absolute favorite, I catch more bass on that type of rig than any other
yup, its a very versatile setup for me, wow, gotta use this rig more often
you can make it yourself actually, have a wire tie & twist it to drop shot lead. then do the same to split ring which then put on whatever kind of weedless hook.
