Guitar needs to be louder, especially when Lindsey does the strum/slide down from the C# chord. That needs to sound like thunder from the heavens. During the last chorus (when Christine was harmonizing), they were just about getting it right.
@DCNCIDER He started being influenced by punk/new wave acts like The Clash, Talking Heads, and Sex Pistols. His girlfriend tells the story in her book how she went downstairs one morning to see him sitting on the floor with his curly long locks cut off with an old pair of kitchen scissors. This was just the surface of him wanting to change FM's sound to something totally unlike Rumours, as he was writing songs for Tusk at the time.
