    I’d love to see how you mounted camera and ran wire out the van

      My ceiling wasn't in yet so running the wire to the rear was pretty easy. Above the rear doors was a plastic housing with a rear camera in it for the backup system. I took it off carefully and fed the Wolfbox wire through the same hole and into the housing. I then mounted the camera to the same housing just underneath the factory one. So the factory one activates when in reverse and is displayed on my dash, and the other camera is on anytime the Wolfbox is on and displayed on my rearview mirror. Hope that makes sense.

    Great Video! Wanted to know if the 20ft of cord for the rear camera was enough for the job or did you order one of the longer lengths?

      Hello. Glad you liked the vid. Yes, it was enough. My ceiling was open though, so I was able to do a nice straight run from the front to the rear.

    Was the stock cabling long enough to reach the back of the van or did you have to get an extension?

    The rain sensor impedes the front camera view.

      It does a little bit on my setup yes, but it still gathers all the information I need it to if there is some event such as an accident or something. Its also a nice little surveillance when the vehicle is parked and I am not around.

    Hey bro. Great video. I hardwired it. Quick question. When I put the car into P and take the keys out. My screen remains on. Is there anyway for the screen to turn off automatically after I take the keys out? I don't want to use the screensaver bc I was hoping the screen would auto turn off after I turn the car off.

      Glad you enjoyed the video. I hardwired mine off a rocker switch so I have to manually turn it on and off. I did that because there are times when I may be parked that I would want the cameras recording. If you don't need that, then you will want to run your power wire off one of the remote turn on circuits from your fuse box.

      @@jamesbialczak doesn't that drain your car battery?

    • @jamesbialczak
      @jamesbialczak  6 месяцев назад

      @@Abir-Kl It can, yes. It's a very low draw though so it would take a long time. Keeping it on while your off on a hike or something for short stints isn't a problem. It also has an automatic shutoff built in that will turn itself off if the battery voltage hits a preset number so it doesn't leave you stranded.

    You never even showed where you wire this device to power in the van! That's pretty important, ya think?

    • @jamesbialczak
      @jamesbialczak  4 месяца назад

      Ya, it plugs into your dc port/ cigarette lighter, or you can cut that off like I mentioned in the video, and run the two wires two the positive and negative of your battery and put a switch on one of them.
