I love all the Ford powered vehicles drag racing, & it's really nice to see more than just the Mustangs! Congratulations to him for getting it accomplished,& hats off to you for making this video, so all the fans can see this awesome wagon race! Thumbsup to you both! Fast Fords Forever!❤😎👍
Thanks Robert.
If Ford offered a wagon to the US with a Coyote and a 10 speed or tr3160 500hp best wagon ever
That car is TOP NOTCH. Extremely well done, unique, and just a load of fun. Great wheelies. :D
"Hey guys! Revan Evan here with a wax figure of Tim Donathen"
Seriously though, bad ass Fairmont!
That thing is perfect in every way I love it
Great Job Evan. Tim is the glue that holds the Coyote Stock together. Wonderful class everyone is friends. My favorite class of all time. Jim @ HO Fibertrends
Owned a 79 Zephyr Wagon with 302. It was fat at the time with a test pipe in place of the catalytic converter. Brings back memories.
Thanks
Evan you did it again. Another awesome coverage of a Ford that gets it done with Ford power. If your next coverage , is a ‘70 Maverick, ‘67 Cougar, 73-79 F100, ‘78 Mercury Zephyr, or a ‘94 Ranger, you have covered all the cars I have owned, enjoyed, & raced in my lifetime. Keep up the good work.
I'kk try to find a few of those car at the next few events.
67’ Cougar dream car
@@CoyoteFTW yes my first car. Maroon with a black vinyl top, parchment interior, 289 4V, cruisonatic trans
Tim is an awesome guy and a Mustang genius! His work is top notch!
Love the surfboard on top! Great sense of humor. How would you like to look over at a car beating you and see a surfboard on the roof rack? 🤣
Love everything about this car and the owner, cool just cool!! I used to "push a broom" (while going to college) at the Ford X car garage about the time the new Fox mustang was coming out, they had Fairmount's running around with 302's in them and 5 speeds, and I was like wow! cool! what is that? Well it was the development mules for the 79 Mustang, oh they also had Pintos running around with the 2.3 turbos in them, and everybody wanted to drive the 2.3 turbo Pinto, I was guessing it was making a fair amount of boost it seemed to be fairly quick for the time!
They actually had Fairmonts with 302s and 4-speed manuals. Four doors (and I am guessing wagons as well), not just the Futuras. Now, 140hp is not moving too much, but when we moved from Chicago to L.A. in 1979, my dad use of a '79 Fairmont 4-door as his company car, and ended up buying it from the company when they issued new company cars. It was automatic, and California-smog equipment (I believe they were rated at 130hp) and fairly peppy. Yes, very malaise era, but peppy-ish. When I got the car in the later-80s as a hand-me-down, I could take on many a car (from the era) including Celicas, Supras, 300Z's. One day, a LTD LX 5.0 humbled me, and then the 5.0 Mustangs started getting much more popular and had no problem showing me their taillights. Of course, by the late 80s, I had my sights set on swapping engines from a wrecked Mustang, but when I went to look at the car, cops were at the house. It turned out the guy had killed a pedestrian outside a party following a fight and he was trying to unload his Mustang for cheap (I don't recall the price, but it was too good to be true, and close to my house, so I went to see it pretty quickly ('yea, it runs and can still be driven' I recall in the conversation with the driver), so I took it as an omen to not desire an engine swap. A couple months later, circa 1989, I owned my own 1986 5.0/5-speed Capri trade-in which I bought from a Ford dealer.
That's what drag racing should be!!!!!
Always loved station wagons.
Thanks it brings back a memory from early 80s. We opened up a bargain news on payday and found a granada 4dr with a low mileage 351w in it and it was the legged tire roaster from hell. We had no money to put in it except for tires and an acceptable exhaust at least by standards.i know it doesn't compare but we sure had a lotta fun for a few years driving around in a similar brick shaped car. Now I'm trying to get the money up to build my 72 torino wagon 351c with a c6.
I have one of those. 351 Windsor power. Liberty 5 sod. Love that wagon also.
had a 78 mercury zepher wagon with 302 use to keep the z 28s at bay
Very nice I love that wagon! Those wheels up launch's are nice 👍👍👍👍
WOW! That large engine bay! 😱😱😱
I simply LOVE different and that guy and wagon are TOTAL COOL !!!
Another colorful character having fun at the drag strip. Really nice guy. Thanks Evan for your commitment to bringing us these videos.
That’s a really cool and unique combo 👍🏼
Thanks for giving my man Timmy D some love Evan. Love that dude and love your channel too!!
My folks bought a new 1980 Fairmont wagon when I was in high school. 200 six and C3 three speed auto. As much as I tried, it could not get even close to a wheel stand. The Fairmont replaced a 75 Mercury Montego wagon with a 351M that suffered a probable broken timing chain or broken distributor shaft/oil pump lock-up that I may or may not have been partially responsible…. The Fairmont was hard to kill and I’m glad to see them, especially the wagons showing up running updates Ford power instead of LS.
Excellent content! Never disappointed when watching this channel. I was surprised that they rev those coyote engines so high.
Thanks
Too cooool... All the Fairmont needs is wood side panels for that woody look
Yes sir J C, I was thinking the very same thing!!!
Love this channel, thanks Evan for bringing us these amazing Fords! Another great car!
You're welcome.
The only guy that works on my mustang he is phenomenal

Fuck yes. The lord's chariot aka Ford Fairmont
This is crazy. I’m building a 1981 Fairmont Futura. The bumpers are mint, I just watched this and ran out to check mine. They are chrome plated aluminum! I never knew it lol. Thanks.

Never knew of this class. Will have to look into it now.
search NMRAdigital.com and look at the rules section.
Me too Jim! I have a built 460 in my 67 Mustang Gt and it is so heavy up front. Depending on the cost of a Coyote like this, Would love to try this swap and run this class.

Hmm. Nice build.
Guy has an old 79 Capri and a Fairmount collecting tree sap just down the road from me.
Cool class of racing.
Awesome car. Nice and simple. Wonder if he short shifts it on purpose?
Love those box foxes😁
Its the fau wood dash that makes these wheelies legit.
Sounds like big Angry motorcycle engine. Enough to scare the faint of heart into hiding under a blanket in bed. lol
Mother Superior Mary's wagon needs a set of wheelie bars stat!
Another good Video Evan!
Thank Dan
Great! Bought from Marge Simpson, then decided tu put a Coyote on it. Great car and video!
I love the steering wheel and I'm still trying to decode the tag meaning.
Shagging Wagon.

Unique !!!
Tub and backhalf. Would look killer with big tires and wheelie bars.

There's a lot to like about this car. For me, the best part is the hula girl ;-)
9.85 flying wagon
I saw this car at Norwalk raceway park I couple months ago
another cool video!
Love your videos.i bleed blue..keep up good work.
Thank you Shane.
The surfboard on top, the hula girl on the dash, and that number plate, it’s not cool it’s sub zero.
surfs up🙃
Cool car 🚗 😎 👌
Awesome
Yeeeeessss yeeeeessss 😅
How much aftermarket can you do to the coyote because I heard him say he had headers if not much at all can I interchange all generations of the coyote and 5.2 intake
Love it, with a roof rack and a surfboard, crush it!
My parents had a burgundy 78 fairmont wagon. 6 cylinder. Wasn’t fast. I drove it twice. No license and with license. Me and my friends called it the grocery getter lol 😂 😅🤣🤣. I think ours had maybe 85 horsepower
Is that weight on the floor, around the bottom of the cage?
I got a Fairmont wagon. 4 speed, 2300, manual rack and brakes!
What size rear tires/ wheels?
I wanna go to work in it
I thought the Ford Futura was really nice 👍
Oooh Yeah!...
what transmission do they run
So, if these 5.0 Coyotes run so good then why does everyone use a GM LS instead on buildups??? I never see these engines used in anything but factory rigs.
ruclips.net/video/5LV1mN1dZnE/видео.html
People being going fast n/a with coyotes for a long time now. They are just poor.
Coyotes are more expensive to buy, more expensive to build, are way bigger physically. And I think a lot of people like the idea of a pushrod single cam American V8. I have a 4.6 2v sn95 and will hopefully coyote swap one day. Never owned a Chevy
Vous êtes enfin passer en 4 roues motrice ou pas
Stock engine doesn't mean much these days when we have sub $100k cars that make 500-700 from the factory.
Wonder why GM don't have a stock 5.3 class?? 🤣🤣🤣
They do, its called Chevrolet Performance Stock, and its run in the NMCA.
@@dsaitz ...I'm talking about a 5.3, not a hopped up factory 376ci 🤣
..it would be boring to be that slow!😅😅😅
