- We love the wagons on the REVan Evan channel. Abe Tango and REVan Evan get a look at Kevin Schweizer's 1980 Mercury Foxbody with a 7.3L Godzilla fed by twin-turbos. It makes over 1,150 rear-wheel horsepower and runs mid-8s in the quarter mile. If you like the content here please consider subscribing and also drop a comment and hit the like button. Thank You!
I own a 1970 Ford Torino 429 SCJ 4 speed drag-pack factory built wagon sleeper. Only one ever built by Ford. It does low 11's with drag radial tires and closed exhaust. It's 100% street legal also.
Wow, you own a piece of American Automotive History!!
@@elppedro77 Actually, more than one.
Its nice too see that guys are having success with the 7.3 , a viable option to the LS
Godzilla and Coyote are bringing it to them, for sure.
There's a ton of options to not go LS, there's just too many "me too" people out there that can't think for themselves.
Real respect for Guys running a Ford in a Ford
Yep the old Ford powerglide
@@semiprofessional8470 For every one Ford running a powerglide there's at least 1,000 GM cars running a Ford 9 inch. So what's your point? He meant it has a Ford engine. This is a channel for us Ford guys to enjoy, why don't you take your GM loving crap elsewhere.
@@semiprofessional8470 Many drag cars have run Powerglide transmissions. We had one in our NHRA AA/FC, Ford 9" rear and 392 Chrysler Hemi engine. That car is now at Don Garlits Museum in Ocala FL. We sold it to Jim Liberman in 1974.
I love Fords as much as anything else but ford guys are different for sure

Nice guy with a cool car and family ❤
Very cool wagon! Evan if you get down to central FL you should interview Garrett Mitchell aka Cleetus McFarland. His twin turbo Godzilla powered Fox body named McFlurry has run 7.50’s and also is fully street legal. What’s especially cool about the car is that it runs a Bruno Lenco so they pull the levers going down track!
Great family, lots of fun.
❤😂😮😊 a sweet mercury. I like that down to the eights you could do sevens next round bro keep the good work up and spank those Chevy Corvettes in the Camaros and the Nissans I’m Ford all the way.
Great video! Glad I found this channel for us ford freaks. One reason i bought my 85 fox wagon is to make a nasty street strip car. Love wagons!
I love a fast wagon ❤
That's a cool piece right there!
Id love to find this engine and put it in my 70 Mach 1
Glad it is not another LS.
cool car !!!
Revan always finds those family based racers. Soooo good to see that.
Even the daughter getting involved. Warms my heart.
Not to mention a cool car with a really cool motor.
Living the dream no doubt!
Thanks Evan.
I saw this thing last weekend and assumed it was a SBF.. way cooler now I know it’s Godzilla 😎
Damn all of that and on the way home he can pick up groceries for food for the week
Dream car for me right there.
That's so awesome..love seeing that FORD POWER..great video REVan
I got one! 4 cylinder, manual brake, manual rack, stick shift car! Straight as a board!
The wife is the real MVP in this whole thing. Guy is living the dream for sure!!
I’m lucky to have a wife that let’s me live out my dream.
Absolutely love episodes like this!
Congratulations Evan!! Great content!
Great video as always awesome car Ford powered forever baby keep on pulling the knot out of them boties and the horns off them mopars l love it will be Godzilla build it's awesome
The definitive sleeper. It launches so fast and smoothly. The onboard view is just insane.
5:15 loved that Merc with the Ford Motorsport flag on it.
The A.I. just corrected me.
Memories of the mid 80s, 79 Zephyr 302 with a test pipe. The Silver Streak.
That's a cool wagon!
Enjoyed!!!!!!!
It was nice eating Taco's 🌮🌮with you at Ford Fest. 👍🙂
Great to meet you as well!
@@revanevan 👍😊
HAD a 1978 ZYPHER WAGON with a 302 and trailer package was good to nose out the air induction camero z 28s
My dad had 50+ cars when we were growing up, but my favorite was always the crown Vic station wagon. So much room for activities!
Wow, what a fun car. Street and strip. Kevin put a lot of imagination and engineering into this great ride! Thanks Evan!
Hey Kevin! I knew that was you. Lol. I saw you make a pass on Sunday. 😎
You should have stopped by.
I need to rewatch this and take notes! Great setup.
In addition to what I typed earlier, that's quite a sleeper of a wagon.
Good build Kevin, we''ll have our godzilla powered fox body out in a few months.
Great video brotha love to see some good ol grass roots cars and racing we can all relate to 🙏
Nice I love that wagon! Nice clean car!!
Gotta' love those Godzirras! And in a Fox Wagon to boot.
The wheel base is probably better the wagon looks good
Has this been down in TC at dragging main?
Yes, we were there. 😉
That was a great video… Nice and simplistic car that’s built well and reliable. Great video Evan
@1:24 ... Um does your wife have a sister?? JK.... well 4 realz JK No seriously ... ???
We had a Zephyr wagon (with woodgrain even) when I was a kid, it really wasn't so bad, but this one seems to have a bit more bite 😂
good stuff
Nice Merc.
That's funny. You can order those strut rod clamps. I have a couple.
Powerglide?
Yes.
Even you do a real good job of finding cool Ford cars, Keep up the good work.
He’s a happy go lucky dude, with a cool wife….. wait a minute. 😂😂😂😂😂
❤😂😊 Evan you said do you know a guy that has a fox body seven second I want to see that video too bro keep up the good work I know you do
Could have been me in high school in my mom’s 80 Fsirmont wagon, similar color, with its 200 six wound up to the redline against its C-3 tranny. Seriously, this is a great video. Great car! Obviously a great team running it. Hope 7.99s come soon.
With the parasitic loss of the drivetrain, that engine should be producing well past 1200 horsepower. Is that correct, Evan?
With 1,151 at the wheels it's well past 1,200 at the crank.
Thanks for confirming that, Evan
Car would have made close to 1300 whp had we put all the timing in but we where concentrating on getting the fuel map right.
Thank you, Kevin. That's quite an amount for a product big block Ford engine. I believe Ford is producing an auto sports block for that size of engine for people who want to go racing. They have a different name for that engine. The exception to this is that I don't remember what they named it. Yes, get that fuel map sorted first and then the timing. That's what Rob Dahm did with his four rotor rotary engine, which he put on an all wheel drive chassis dyno. That engine produced slightly more than 1200 horsepower on that dyno. That third generation RX7 is my absolute favourite car. What's my favorite Ford? A 1935 three window deluxe coupe. Why? It's because of its gorgeous grill. It's similar to the '34's except the bars don't come to a point at the bottom. In the event that you're interested in seeing it, type it into that browser of that device you have. I often looked at them. What are other incredible Ford vehicles? 1960 Galaxy two door Starliner, 1957 Ford Custom, the one with the hooded front lights and the rectangular parking lights, the 2964 427 Fairlane Thunderbolt drag car, only for racing though, 1963 and a half Galaxy, 1957 Thunderbird supercharged Y block, 1956/57 Lincoln Mark II, the 1936 Lincoln model K Lebaron two door Coupe, a 1938 Lincoln three window coupe, a 1972 Ford Grand Torino, a 1970 1/2 Ford Falcon, a 1967 Ford LTD 2 door hardtop sports coupe, any of the ten years of the Pinto, obviously with a Ford big block engine in it, don't additionally forget the second generation Ford GT supercar, and Ford's crowning achievement, the best Mustang that will possibly ever be sold, the GTD. There'll be approximately 2000 of them going to be built up here in Canada, in a city named Markham, in a shop called Multimatic, which is one of the greatest racing teams and engineering companies in the world. The suspension system that they developed that originally was built for the second generation Ford GT will be in this Mustang. In the event that you didn't see it on RUclips, you should do that as soon as possible. It's an absolute an amazing car. They have much more content than I do. Are there any more vehicles that I could that I prefer that you might want to know about? How about the Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II? Then there are the Torino Tallagata's. As you possibly were able to guess, I'm a Ford person. My father worked in Niagara Falls Ontario at the glass plant that was there for many years. That's one of the reasons why I'm a Ford person. That's all I'm going to type.
True Ford man..
Always liked these wagons. The old man had a 1981 Mercury Zephyr. Told him if he got rid of let me know.... he didn't..... 😂.
I got a clean 4 cylinder, manual rack, 4 speed Fairmont wagon that could be had!
Sweet wagon! Thank you for sharing.
love the setup i want to something kinda like that to a 2 door LTD .
I saw this car race in Bowling Green. I really like seeing cars other than Mustangs. I wish I could have bumped into Evan, maybe next year.
Man that thing sounds soo mild...badass
Wow super cool car! You pushed it so far but it still is a drive able car. Definitely not a full tube chassis car that somebody calls a street car. Love it!
Awesome ride!!
Awesome video!!
Good job to the both of you!! 👍
My type of ride there sweeeeeettttttt
Haha. "Me and the wife fit in the just nice when we was trying it out" 😂😂😂😂😂
❤😊 that’s a smart man with dual tanks. That’s the way to go. He wasn’t kidding around and he’s gonna do better next time around.
Great interview,nice people.
Awesome car and the owner seems really cool too
Awesome. Grew up in the back of a 1978 Zephyr 4 speed manual with the 2.3L. My dad ordered it new like that from the factory. Rare bird.
That godzilla wagon can go faster he's not even leaning on it yet
Going to lean on it a bit later this month. Weather permitting.
Love it. Does make me think if I should have brought a wagon but got a 4 door sedan instead 78 zephyr. My dash is a bit bashed up trying to repair best I can. Where did you get the glass dash from looks a good fit? Thanks Phil
So he's running an LSv7.3 and a Powerglide. He should have ran the 12 bolt copy AKA 8.8 and made it a GM trifecta. 🤣🤣🤣
I want to thank you for the video. This is great, Thank you, Kevin for your fantastic wagon. It is a super looking neat car. You've done a great job with it.
I wish you all the best of luck at the races tear Them up!
I ❤️ Godzilla
Great build for family fun! Always an entertaining bonus to see non mechanics discover mechanics tools😄
Do you have to put twin Turbos on a God Zilla to make 1150 hp? That is not that impressive i know a 351 Cleveland stroker with 950 HP NA.
I feel like that two speed with the 3.50 gears is holding you back. Great car though
Fantastic video fantastic car.Well built thank you for the video
Put it up against the REAL wagon.
Who is the real wagon?
❤😊 even on the street he drove that in I talk to a boy in Redding California. He traded his in and that’s a Chevy ha ha ha ha and he drove that Ford mercury in and still Ford product. That’s pretty damn good.
😎👍🇺🇸
That strut lock is bosom I could use a set on My hood struts on My Explorer. Where can we buy them?
Thank you for your knowledge and video's USA 🇺🇸
Evan interview Cleetus McFarlane about McFlurry.
Those claps are awesome. I use those for work. They’re cheap to buy.
A real ball buster when you get gaped by a wagon, sweet build all around.
8.50s in your grandma's wagon, so damn cool.
Incredibly cool build, awesome job.
Another fantastic vid. Thanks
Love all the cool cars on this channel
Thanks!
I love the Dash where did he get that made
lol when the block is the only thing that's stock baahahhahahaah those truck motors baby...seeing those things eat stock lifters is pretty sad.
Please show us an LS running 7s, which this car will, at 3,500 lbs with OE block, crank and heads. Not sure why there’s so much hate, but have at it. This car has 15 passes on it and has been 8.50s.
@revanevan Many people run 5.3s and 6.0s even without gapping rings to run 7s in a 3300+ car / truck. Let's face it the "godzilla" is a truck motor for Ford f350 box trucks..ya the LS guys did the same things with the 6.0s but even in stock form the zilla eats lifters. Atleast a 6.0 Ls truck motor with a 75mm turbo stock untouched block can get to the 7s on a stock ecu...check out sloppy mechanics...many people in that group have gone 7.99s on stock motors....7.99s is 7s right?
@@revanevanwith all due respect, it's probably best to pull your head out of the sand and look at what other cars do. I get it, you're bought and paid for by Ford, but let's not pretend like the Godzilla is a good engine option, it's not even Ford's best engine option. That title belongs to the coyote which midnight performance has used to run
7.80s, unopened in a 3500+lb S550.
But as your request, here is the smallest LS, a 4.8 running 7s. And unlike the Godzilla, the 2.5L smaller LS didnt need rods and pistons to run a quicker number than what this Godzilla is estimated to do.
ruclips.net/video/34ZL4Hyd8EI/видео.htmlsi=OxN8KPPoYKEUjELg
I still like GM's LS engine more, the Ford version is big, but my 370ci makes 274 hp more and cost me $2200, but it's nice to see Ford validate the GM pushrod approach to engines,
"no more chains than brains"
Pretty cool 😎 that's what drag racing is all about
Awesome Wagon... always love the drag content.
Im not a Ford guy, but this grocery getter is really nice..I hope I get to see it at the track.
