Thank you. Glad this has helped. One of the cool things about the BOBO is that you can remove the facial interface of the Quest 3, so that it doesn't touch your face at all. Sounds like an odd thing to do, but if you are doing something that gets you working up a sweat, then at least you are not soaking it up with the facial interface :D
I admit, that sounds like a much more sensible idea that using a screwdriver :D If I wasn't so lazy, I could have grabbed one from the garage. Thanks for sharing though.
Great guide - saved a lot damage - the supplied screwdriver is poor - don't even try it, I also rounded of one of the screws so nearly couldn't remove it, used a small screwdriver set and it needs to be a perfect fit with slow hard pressure else you round the screw heads... thanks for posting.
Thank you. The Quest 3 is a luxury expense for sure, but the difference between the Q2 and Q3 is night and day. I can't recommend it enough. If you are in the UK, then I would check out very.co.uk. They do a VeryPay account that will give you 20% off your first purchase. I picked up my Q3 512GB for £523 delivered.
Just looking at their website. It looks like the kit is for the M2 Pro to M3 Pro. Do double check that on the BOBO VR website though. It looks to also be slightly cheaper at the moment as well.
If you have already detached the halo from the arms, the you just need to screw the replacement arms to the halo, using the 2 screws on each side. One they are on and you are happy, you can then snap the white covers back on. If you're still having issues, then let me know. I'll be more that happy to help.
It's really strange. I know people that have managed to order one from Amazon, and one of them has even received it, but whenever I look, it's not even listed on Amazon.
Are you referring to the directions on the BOBO box? If so, then that's a bit odd. The box that mine came with had that as the second to last step. I wonder if they shipped them in a different box than the ones that were sent out for review.
@@snowtoad nah I watched to tutorial from them on RUclips, it does need a screw in there, I don’t think it’s vital but I already put the damn stickers on
You saved my bobovr to be damage, I just try the way they indicate and almost broke the piece, your technique is way better and smooth. Thank you
Thank you. Glad I could be of help.
My conversion kit arrives tomorrow. Thank you for this great video and helpful tips. 👍🏻
You are more than welcome. Enjoy the comfort again 😎
I was just installing mine and was worried I was going to break it. This video was so helpful! Thanks a lot man!
Thank you. You are more than welcome.
Great video saved me a load of headaches

Thanks for the advice on the screwing! Ooh Matron!
Please don't think of me whilst you are screwing. You may get questioned as to what you are laughing at ;)
wow i m glad i saw this before the install! thank you kindly!
You are more than welcome.
I used a metal spodger on the place you mentioned and it came off much easier.

@@snowtoad thanks a lot for your help dude!

It's my pleasure. Glad you found the video useful.
great installation video , I purchased the same kit just waiting for it to arrive, thank you
Thank you for your kind comment. I hope it makes it a little easier to install and I hope your kit arrives soon.
This is a great guide. Thanks for uploading! 👍
You are more than welcome. I'm hoping to do more things like this in the new year. Have a great festive holiday.
I picked up a Quest 3 the other day and the stock strap sucks - definitely going to pick up an M3 when they're in stock 😂
It's certainly an essential addition. Apparently they will be on Amazon on Tuesday(ish).
Very awesome eventually I will be picking up a Quest 3 but for now my Q2 is just fine. :)

Cool video Snow. ❤
Why thank you my dear.
I don't know if i want to clip in the white clippy thing after all that hassle of getting it off in the beginning. I think I'll leave it off haha
I see your point. I think it may offer a little more strength to the arms though.
thanks a lot
You are most welcome. Glad you found it useful.
Would this also work on the M2 Pro headset?

BOBOVR M3 PRO 👍👍👍
does no one actually show how to change to actual part? im now on video 5 and still only have the panels off
I'd be happy to help. Which part are you stuck on?

Still waiting for my dirty pictures bugha
you very lucky boy
impossible. i broke mine. What a POC product
May I ask which part broke? I may be able to suggest a fix.
Still not available in the EU

Directions show nothing about a screw through the bottom part

Yeah, that cover isn't coming off. The only thing it may stop is vibration from the speakers.
this works with bobovr m2 Plus too right? not pro
Sorry. Only just saw this.
Best thing to do is check on their website for compatibility.
I have only caused damage so far
It's not the easiest retro kit tbh. Worst case, you could super glue anything that gets broken if you've no intention of converting back.
