IF you want a designer bag that is discreet and more under stated then watch this first! I tell you BAGS I think that are WORTH buying and ones I think you should AVOID! I give you the reasons why and also offer suggest some other alternatives. At the end of the day, this is just my opinion and everyone's taste differs. Hello Mel, I agree with most of your picks, except your statement about chloe bags. I own the Marcie in medium size and I think it is the most beautiful and functional hobo bag on the market (the Paddington is extremely ugly btw). Your new Bottega Veneta bag is nice, but I would prefer a bigger version for practical reasons. Mini bags are not my cup of tea.

Hey Mel, do you like some of the newer Louis Vuitton bags that have a wide canvas strap? I like them, I think they look pretty cool and modern and then it would also depend on what bag it’s on. I would agree with you on the On The Go bag in that color combination red white and black, I do not like it at all. I also don’t like that large size. But I do like the reverse monogram like you said, but smaller. 👍🏻

Low key the on the go monogram though is like the most convenient bag ever. I grew up taking a Neverfull to high school and those bags would loose shape and then everything inside the bag would get smashed or broken. I used to carry a scarf around in the Botton to insulate my laptop. I wish I’d had the onthego because they fit so much more and mine still haven’t lost shape. Virgil can’t design a clothing garment to save his life but his legacy will be these amazing bags LV is popping up with.
My first luxury bag was lou lou YSL followed by celine callabas. Still today lou2 is my favourite 🥰

I agree with you on the Chloe bags and therefore I don't see the appeal of the dior "bobby" (dior is one of my favorite brands), it looks very "chloe"- like to me...🙈

I like the pouch bag but not in light brown colour- it is too crinkley and reminds me of a bum hole (sorry but it’s true). The other colours are nice though and the black is probably my favourite. I think I like it because it reminds me of the little clasp purses (wallets) that my gran used to own when I was a child.

Yes! I have that black, puffy YSL Loulou bag in that exact colour/hardware combo and size! I absolutely love it. I bought it as kind of an alternative to the classic CHANEL flap bag because I think it looks more edgy and younger and suits me better (even though I'm 43 years old ;)). The best thing about it is that I'm wearing it ALL THE TIME and it has grown even more on me, if anything.
And I just bought the Speedy 25 from the Crafty collection in the black/brown combo and am actually very much dran to the On The Go still! :D It actually is my first LV bag since I kinda always avoided the classic ones since EVERYONE is wearing them (even though I agree that their classic patterns are really iconic). My boyriedn hates it because it#s so loud! :D

I really miss the old Burberry. Burberry's quality is top (I haven't purchased lately I hope it didn't go down), so much better than Max Mara that costs double the price of it. I bought the 101801 just for a week and the stitching started to loosen up that it doesn't even hold the pocket lol ( I bought it in Milan Boutique). I bought two iconic coats from Max Mara but I was super disappointed. I don't think Moncler is warmer than my Burberry either. Where i live winter is cold and I never wear my Moncler. I really think ppl wear it only for the logo but they are cold... For any lux brand in clothing I would only pay for Burberry and Balmain. Balmain's jacket really tailors well
