Thanks for the video! Just ordered a wheel bearing kit for my noisy rear wheel on my Citigo. Feel more than confident doing the work myself after watching this now that I realise you don't need a bearing press 👍
Hi, i have the same car (2013 polo) do you know if the front hub nuts are the same size as i need to purchase the socket before i strip it down, thanks 👍🏼
Hi 👋 I can’t remember off the top of my head, best thing to do would be to pop the wheel off and look or pop the centre cap off if it has one and you will be able to see it, I think it might be a 27mm socket actually 👍
The main difference between a multispline socket and a 12-point socket is that multispline sockets are designed to tighten and loosen spline fasteners, while 12-point sockets can work on a variety of fasteners
Yes you are right, I would recommend anyone without the experience to use one 👍 next time I will show the correct use of a torque wrench. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi when driving speed up untill you can hear the noise, then if you were to steer side to side and the noise comes and goes then that would indicate you have a bad wheel bearing, then just listen carefully to figure out what one is bad. There are other ways to diagnose but that’s the example if you are driving 👍
@@ruffiyan I would say no more than one hours labour as most have that as a minimum charge plus the part which is about £60 I think depends on brand. So easy would say £120 would cover it 👍
@@MrAutoFixer Do you remember which brand it was that you fitted? also the prices i seen did vary below £60 and over but like you said its on the brand.

@@MrAutoFixer thank for getting back to me so quickly,,,I'm taking it apart right now, looks like a 37mm ? Does that sound correct 🤔
@AMG63 common hub nut sizes are 30mm 32mm and 36mm, so if it’s on the bigger size will probably be 36mm 👍
Is the multispline socket different from a 12 point socket?
Its the same

Nice video but you should of used.a torque wrench for hub nut.

Wow that easy
Anything is easy when you know how😂 thanks for watching 👍
Size 30 or 36 ? Plz need the info
Hey 👋 it was a 30mm multi spline socket.
Actually its size 32 spline socket , 12 point
No grease?
Where would you like the grease ?
@@MrAutoFixer on the exposed ball bearings maybe ? I don't know,im just asking
@tiagomarcelino7599 hey 👋 the bearings are sealed so no need to grease,😊
How do you actually diagnose a weel bearing thats just starting to make the rumbling noise over 30mph ? Vw polo

HiQ said £275 to change the wheel bearing on a polo 😂😂😂
I’ll do it for £250 😂😂😂😂😂
@@MrAutoFixer what should it cost with part and labour?
