Orb of Corrosion lets you trade better with enemies. Your passive reduces base armor, armor enemies get from attributes, but not from items. Ergo, the armor debuff from orb helps amps up your right click attacks on enemies a little bit more, espeically if they pick up something like a casual Ring of Protection (+2 Armor). Orb of Corrosion gives a little bit of everything, a slow so you can keep enemies close, negative armor to amp a bit more of your physical damage, some extra hp so you can tank a bit more hits. It's great if you can get it early but if you're starved for gold, its skippable.

It's also unfun for him probably. He tends to play games on challenging difficulties, meaning easy wins are not fun, just a waste of time probably. When a game doesn't take effort, I don't find it fun either. If opponent throws, then what fun is there in beating them, knowing that it wasn't because of your effort.
the elder titan is so versatile - you can play him as almost any role. watching an elder titan carry with phase boots, assault cuirass, battle fury, blink, skadi and satanic is hysterical
He's at his best when played against stat-heavy agility carries, as they tend to forget they need bonus armor against him until he 2-shots them with right-clicks
In case anyone's wondering, the reason it's a bad idea to make a build "following stats" is that statistics are complicated and hard to interpret. Many of the items which show as having a high win rate will only have been bought in games that were already going well (since if they had not been going well, there wouldn't have been money to buy them). Others will have high win rates when bought in particular matchups or circumstances. Statistics!
Earth Splitter actually deals a mix of physical and magical damage (50% each). So enemies near your Spirit will end up taking more magic damage, while those near your hero will take more of the physical damage.
I really love how you improve playing dota from the bottom. You'll be a great dota player soon! Just stay positive and don't let other people grief you especially the smurfs playing on lower ranks.
You should assign control groups to your summoned units, like the ancestral spirit. It's much faster to control them than having to select after each cast and dota 2 remembers the hotkey for whole game Dota2 2 also has a hotkey for moving units other than your hero, but I think control group is better
In-game lore : Well may you ask, "How did this world take its form?" Why of all the worlds in creation, has this one its strange properties, its diverse and motley collection of creatures, cultures and lore? "The answer," One whispers, "lies with the Titans." These original progenitors were there near the Beginning-if not actual witnesses to the creation, then born with it still echoing in their ears. Stamped with the earliest energies of the universe, they wished nothing more than to continue as creators themselves. Thus they bent to the task of shaping matter to their will: hammering and heating, bending and blasting. And when matter proved less challenging than they liked, they turned their tools upon themselves, reshaping their minds and reforging their spirits until they had become beings of great endurance. Reality itself became the ultimate object of their smithing. Yet, along the way, they sometimes erred. In cases of great ambition, mistakes are unavoidable. The one we know as the Elder Titan was a great innovator, one who studied at the forge of creation. In honing his skills, he shattered something that could never be repaired, only thrown aside. He fell into his own broken world, a shattered soul himself. There he dwelt among the jagged shards and fissured planes, along with other lost fragments that had sifted down through the cracks in the early universe. And this is why the world we know resembles an isle of castaways, survivors of a wreck now long forgotten. Forgotten, that is, by all but the One who blames himself. He spends his time forever seeking a way to accomplish the repairs, that he might rejoin the parts of his broken soul, that we and the world alike might all be mended. This is the One we know as Elder Titan.
I like to max astral spirit, and skip stomp for quite some time, for maximum slappening. Then you come to a teamfight with what is basically a rapier and an AC at 12 minutes. And then you realize that you are a melee support and die after you get in 2 hits, but whatever. SLAP!
If you play as Pos 3 you can build treads and Echo into BKB, then go for max slappening with Silver Edge. He works as a counter to agility carries as they tend to forget that he deletes their base armor.
keep in mind there are different Mana regen types, mps is way different to % regen increase, so is soul ring /mana boots etc. they scale different/not at all with intelligence. same is for intelligence increase or plain mana increase etc.
Yo I'm loving this series, I can't wait to watch you IO, he's such a different and unconventional hero but my favorite in the whole game so far. He can mess the opponents teamfights up in such unexpected ways and his skill floor is quite high and complex for a hero that's so mechanically simple to play compared to something like a chen. Anysu has an amazing guide for him here on youtube, you can watch it before you try him out!
I played him fairly often he is another situational hero. works great against meppo or other heros that clump up or have massive number of summons. Furion, undying, broodmother, Enigma. (make him stronger.) basically he is a bit of a mix. he can get fat, if the spirit boost his damage a lot and then items like the Assault curiass really help. ((as attack speed is more useful when you already have a lot of damage.)) but usually when you don't get lucky early he can also be used to initate or stun enemy heros at a very long range, if they don't have some escape. So he is a fairly good counter against heros like sniper drowranger, invoker hoodwink. and can still be situationally strong in the late game. He also counters heros like earthshaker to some extend as he can scout them when they try to hide. On the other hand there are a few heros that make him somewhat useless in his own team, so personally I only pick him last. Dota is really a game with complex interactions and you can't really play all heros at a great level. I think t's still helpfull to have a handful or two of heros one can play well to counterpick and search for synergies with ones own team. Disruptor is a great alley to have with ET
Wastes all the time jungling and uses his mana ... "Well i gues i have no more mana, no point to join the teamfight" i fucking lost it at that one.,... hahaha xD i'l be so sad when he starts learning the game, this is gold content
Back in my day the Spirit used to mirror the Titan’s movement so you’d be walking in all sorts of crazy directions to get it to the right spot. It was clunky AF.
The way to read those item stats isn't "players built those items in their game" but rather "those are the items players tend to have at the end of the game." It has no predictive power on the performance of an item. One of the best examples would probably be dagon level 5. While there are heroes like nyx assassin that genuinely build dagon, on most heroes it's just a way to flex on an already defeated opponent. So the items with the highest win rate can be summarised as either "items players can only afford when they are doing well" or "items players build when they have already won the game."
u can cancel the cast animation of most spells where the green clock in the ability window appears, while this green circle is going u are able to cancel your ability and it wont go off cooldown
Grubby, Quick reframe of DotaBuff item win rate: if the game ended and you had Mek recipe/incomplete Mek, an early game purchase, you lost. It might also say 0% for branch. Make sense? Flip side, if you are rich enough to finish assault curias, having good game, higher win rate.
I like it better when you use your own ideas for a build @Grubby. Those in-game guides seem to be intended to be followed by a very narrow play style, and they expect a certain predefined pace of exp and gold gaining rate. Being more of a HotS fan than a DotA fan, I'd say that the first portion of this game looks dull in comparison, since the game economy encourages heroes to stay in a fixed lane, staring at each other for long periods of time. Although not really advisable, HotS can have ongoing team fights as soon as the gates open... 😛 But I still enjoy the DotA content a lot.
Its cuz is low mmr, people learning the game is very passive fixed laning type of gaming, latet on the game is really aggresive very early, also this meta made the early a bit less aggro since last one was too aggresive

dotabuff shows the games where the players had that particular item in their inventory at the end of the game, thats why people that have the mekans recipe at the end of the game, are probably not winning and it drops to 0. an elder titan having enough money to get a daedalus while ahead, or winning, will probably just end up inflating the item's winrate, AC is really good on ET, but most items just follow that daedalus thought.
