saddly that is not your typical experience. typical dota experience is getting snowballed for 30 min straight and u cant even surrender match even tho u know u have no chances to compete
I would say you fall into a common trap I also fall into, which is the "I have to help my team!" mindset, where you treat yourself too disposably as a carry. That instinct of "my teammates are dying, I have to do something!" is what gets carry players killed in teamfights usually. You kind of have to be a psycho with carries. "Ahhh, excellent, my venomancer ate 3 enemy nukes and my venge has been pounced, now I can go in safely and murder everybody". Cold and calculated. You definitely adjusted towards the end though!
For every lore fun : Lost within the Wailing Mountains, the Fortress of Flares lay abandoned, its training halls empty, its courtyard covered in leaves and dust. Upon a dais in its sealed temple rests a topaz cauldron filled with ancient ash, remnants of a pyre for the warrior-poet Xin. For three generations, Xin taught his acolytes the Bonds of the Guardian Flame, a series of mantras to train the mind and body for the harsh realities beyond the fortress walls. However, in teaching a warrior's way he earned a warrior's rivals, and in his autumn Xin was bested and slain. His followers spread to the wind. Yet as years turned to centuries and followers to descendants, his teachings endured by subtle whisper and deed. Touched by the teacher's lasting legacy, the Burning Celestial, inquisitive aspect of fire, cast himself to the Fortress of Flares and reignited the pyre ash. From these glowing embers emerged an image of Xin, wreathed in flame, his thoughtful countenance prepared to train and to teach, and to spread the fires of knowledge to all who seek guidance.
fun fact: almost every single one of Ember's voice lines (apart from some specific responses to other heroes) are exactly 4 words long, as a reference to a type of Chinese idiom; he even says himself, "Four Words Is Plenty" another thing that's really interesting is that the 4 Spirit Heroes (Earth, Ember, Storm, Void) all have a very similar basic premise/design philosophy: Super mobile, low cooldowns, medium-strong CC, and an immensely high skill ceiling
Euls would've been an amazing item this game and in general on ember. It gives mana, MS, an interrupt, a silence + pounce removal and a solid counter to axe call.
well if you new to dota, learning things with Grubby and grow together to understanding dota world is a fun experiences i wish i'am a new dota player right now
Mid embers usually rush boots of travel because it lets you react quickly and also lets you regen mana since it has a much lower cooldown for you to tp back to base than a scroll. Also on this game a casual ghost scepter would have been insane, its not expensive and it would force one of them to buy a 5k item since it would make you virtually unkillable.
I'm glad that you got matched with nice and well coordinated teammates despite them not knowing you playing your first Ember Spirit game. It makes the game much more enjoyable. Good luck with your challenge.
Grubby it’s insane how fast you’re adapting to the game. Just one thing though, it’s really important to play the heroes in certain ways as “power spikes” is one of the most important things in the game. Heroes like earthshaker, ember are snowball heroes so after a few levels and items try to go for kills. You can always ask chat if a hero is better played tank or ganker or just farm all the game. If you try to play the hero as it’s role is supposed to be, you’ll have more fun and have better impact in the game (specially in the learning basics phase). Can’t wait for the Invoker stream and Rubick stream.
I see a lot of advice like this in grubby's comments that really isn't beginner advice. He's brand new to the game and is constantly focused on a million different new things, mechanics, items, heroes etc. Trying to tell him to "pay attention to power curves" doesn't seem that useful right now, he's just learning how to play the game and learning the heroes.
not sure if you know, but you can spam the bottle in the fountain to restore hp+mp faster so you can get back to lane quicker, it's also a good idea to put an item in your backpack before a delivered item gets to you, that way you dont have to wait 6 seconds
(I got the idea for this comment from the drow game, just dropping it here for a larger chance for grubby to see it) I think you should take some time to talk to your viewers and stablish some grounds for the tips which they are giving. Maybe think it out with some experienced pro. For example, try to get your viewers to tip you more on mechanics, details that you might be missing or general item, or ability characteristics. Specially since you are trying a new hero for the first time. More focused on objective descriptions rather than specifics on what you should do next. Item builds/ general movement on when to farm, map awareness are things you are doing well and can and will only improve with game time. This is the way I see it but your feedback would be the best for what tips can help you out the most. This is a most interesting journey, keep it up Grubby :) >3
U can use W for I-frames to dodge attacks in critical moments Also practice W Q on single targets to get used to the split second combo, it can be very useful when chasing, thats hiis bread and butter With Daedalus and other pure dmg items in late game, your W can one shot squishy supports if you crit, and all that from a safe distance
Hi Grubby,i´ve small tip for you. If you are near tower and it´s hitting you, force attack on your creep (like you want to deny it) and the tower will attack someone else (the nearest unit), otherwise tower act like creeps (if you attac enemy hero it aggro you)
Hi legend, i really want to see you collab with BSJ for a coaching session. He's not a two times ti winner, but hes very good at explaining things and assessing what is best to learn next. Thanks for enjoying my fav game ❤️ Upd: you mentioned once it would be good if there was evergreen dota guides and i think thats exactly what he does
there's venge, and tide. wave of terror + gush. and then grubby grabbed a deso. not even axe can tank with that much armor reduction. oh yea.. that drow definitely had a really good time.
Great conent again. Playing all heroes once is a great idea - this is how I started. I wonder what approach you will use after you're done. Can't wait for your first ranked games!

@@FollowGrubby pretty sure I tried the W+Q combo and though it didn´t work Looks like I have to be faster, learning a lot with your gameplay and chat advices!
still have basic mistake. always bring tp. remember its is always no matter what style for magic damage and mobility. if you choice battle fury u can go crit 2 -> max physic damage -> use full to deal with line up 3 melee
It’d be awesome if you are coached by EE(EternalEnvy). He’ll definitely give you some valuable lessons on awareness by yelling at you “GEBAK GEBAK GEBAK! GETDEFAKBAK!”
youre forgeting the aggro mechanic grubby you click the enemy so the creeps will go to you so you can last hit safely without getting harass from the enemy hero its so important dont forget that
After 220 matches and 47 percent winrate at archon 3 i can say this maybe ember not so good as pos1, u can play aggresive at early to mid game, but kinda fall off at late game so dont pick ember if ur mid not play hard carry hero And u can absolutely farm aggresively just dont forget to put ur remnant in ur jungle camp and always bring tp
And dont fucking ever frontline if u dont have bkb When u want to jump in, always remember to bkb if enemy have stun When u dont have bkb or on cd, always kite and harrash with sof chain dont ever commit if u cant guarantee a fast kill
This is insanely fun hero but requires quite a bit of skill, since when are you playing DotA? I've been your fan for a long time, watching your Warcraft games. Cheers mate!
i really love how the video doesn't end after the game c: the bits at the end with just grubby talking with chat is so nice
Glad you like it! I'll make sure to keep these parts in the videos :D
It might also be interesting if you watched replays some of your earlier games and commented on the mistakes that you now see.

Grubby, you have got to get Siractionslacks to be your next coach. He's the main core of your training.
Slacks has a very SUS password that even Purge the Immovable who coached him once, broke character.

Oh i'm excited about this one. Ember is my most played hero, so this will be very fun to watch
Grubby has a tendency to eat a cookie when he does something bad, I fear for his health while playing dota2.

Learn from ana Or topson. But for that you need to travel to south east Asia. You will ascend once you do...
there is a magic build for ember too, i like to start with travel independent which build
and if you start with travel, you dont need to do bottle, because you always come back to fountain, with travel you have perma tp, and lower cd for tp
