- Once the palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, Topkapi is a vast treasury of Islamic culture, science and weaponry, visited by over 2 million people every year. The jewels of the Sultan are amazingly ornate and in this video at the treasury we examine several of the most previous objects at the palatial museum. What are they made of? Why were they made?

Beautiful gems...especially the dagger, it's magnificent! from where all these spectacular gems were obtained? Just wondering.....
Throught the empire and for India
are the state treasury of the empire, many are custom built, many are gifts, many are bought
The empire has so many jewels that have not yet been shared with anyone and are like no other in the world.
Ottoman sultans used to give special orders to Jewish jewelers living in Istanbul and have such items made.
Ottoman empire which was based in Istanbul, Turkey before.

Stupendi
There were more precious jewels than these but stolen or melted . (Example: Sultan Suleiman’s 4 Layer Crown)
But Even These are Still the World's Largest and Most Valuable Diamond and Emerald. Topkapı Dagger/ SpoonMaker Diamond.
The most precious and flamboyant crowns, necklaces, rings and diamonds of the world were in the hands of the Ottoman Dynasty. However, when the state was in debt, the Sultans Paid Their Own Pockets. For this reason, Jewels were removed and sold, the rest of the gold skeleton was melting. And when Istanbul was occupied in 1919, the Palaces were looted and Jewels, crowns, necklaces, chests were abducted to other countries.
I guess this war suit belongs to Sultan Murad IV.
Wow Amen

I want that but im not that rich to buy that🙁
You couldn't buy it even if you were rich. It's a national treasure, not for sale. But you can enjoy looking at it if you visit Istanbul someday.
