For the electrocution story at the end, the reason he felt great after sitting up was because his body shoved a massive amount of adrenaline and other stimulants into his bloodstream in order to fight whatever was attacking him, and probably saved his life.

Exactly. I just wonder how many Amps there were on there.
I do have to say that getting electrocuted for a very short time does indeed charge you up, and the only 'pain' sense you have is from the electricity being pumped through the nerves.

Had a massive asthma attack when I was 14. Rushed to hospital, pass out a few times. Woke with a tube down my throat and my mother in tears. Spent a week on ventilators and oxygen. The cause: I walked through a perfume aisle in a department store. I'm pretty sure I'm the reason that demonstraters spray the stuff on sample cards now as apposed to spraying as you walk by.

OMG!! I had a really close one the other night...
I was driving home pretty late at night, and was on a stretch of freeway that dips down into a river delta and wildlife area. So it was an extremely dark and forested section. There were only a couple of vehicles anywhere near me, but there was a Semi truck in the center lane ahead of me. I was still a ways behind the semi when I noticed a little spark under the semi. We were going down a long, gentle grade, so I thought, jeez I'm surprised his brakes would have a hard time on this hill... thinking it was the brakes getting to hot. The semi is about 50yards ahead of me and we are both in the center lane. Then I see a few more sparks, that continued to spark as it trailed behind the truck. At that same second I hear a metallic "tink" hit my car, and I instantly realized that there were pieces coming apart and bouncing down the freeway behind this truck... and I'm in the line of fire... Everything clicked at the same moment, right as I see a very large spark hit just behind the truck, and I slammed my gas pedal to floor in that same second, and see this thing hit once more in its bouce and throw a huge spark. Half a second later this 2' long 1½" diameter, half bent, metal rod flys right over my head, directly in line with my face, even nicking my windshield as it went over. I could hear it bounce, and i could hear the massive whoosh as it went right over me... but I don't get it... my normal reaction would be too hit the brakes and back off, but for some reason I just absolutely floored it. I was driving a 5 speed 04 Kia Rio, so without that last half a second of acceleration......😥 I honestly can't fathom, that without that micro second decision, I would be alive... it was coming directly at my face. And probably would havevcontinued into my dog who was right behind me😬☠️😱😰
I've been in a lot of crazy life and death scenarios, many from my own stupidity or adventurous spirt but this one, was absolutely out of my control, final destination, type event! It scared me bad. I stopped a bit later and called my husband and just word vomited how grateful I was for everything and what had happened. Now I'm constantly checking under Semi's for falling parts.

Fell two stories flat on my back.
Walked inside the rage I a multi ton robotic arm my first day at Pepsi.
Stood infront of a knife for my ex girlfriend on the street.
Attempted robbery twice as a night shift.

@@H3xx99 oh man I totally forgot I have been rear ended at a stop sign on a peddle bike. And side swiped as I road across a micdons drive through entrance.
Both times the bike was ruined.
The micdons situation earned me a side mirror I kept that.
Yeah I'm 26 and my body looks like I served two deployments over seas. Idk how I'm alive

Story 11: to the commentator; there is a BIG difference between getting hit by a sedan and getting hit by a semi. As a retired truck driver I can tell you that finding out that you had almost running over a child with your truck can be VERY traumatic!

I almost got obliterated by an 18 wheeler on my bike once.
I was cycling a multi-lane roundabout that had exits towards a motorway. I had to ride past one of these exits. I was signaling that I was staying on the roundabout, and anyone exiting would have to wait for me to go past first. A lorry on the inner lane of the roundabout wanted to take that exit and somehow missed me turning to pass it. I heard him come up on me and not slow down, so when he entered my peripheral vision, I immediately swerved and breaked. He missed me by three feet and barrled past me onto the motorway and out of view. He must've been going 40mph at least. Had I been a tiny bit slower and not swerved, I would have been paste right there and then.
Now, this situation was fucking dangerous. I had to ride on the road due to missing cycling infrastructure, and this was the only place to cross the motorway for miles. I couldn't afford a car and this roundabout was on my commute to work that week. I've been in other situations that could've been my last, but this one was the clearest seconds-from-death moment I can remember.

Dear Narrator, I deeply connected with your comment that deadly accidents are the reason you did not join armed forces of any sort. This is also true for me. I am extremely careful but if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong when I’m up to my neck in the wrong place!
