I just did twenty, and it was the most productive thing I got out of today's productivity video binge. It's easy as a content creator to wonder if you can cause a positive change in people's lives, so there you have it, you did. I was tired and enjoying a drink after work, so it wouldn't have happened otherwise.
I'd also like to add that, just like you said, I'd already seen all the ideas that get floated around. I started the grind years ago, and it worked out for me. Life's gotten tougher again and I've gotten rusty; I lost some of the drive that I had once I saw things getting better across the board, so I'm revisiting this as a content type to remind myself that applying the principles is worth it.
I did the twenty.
It took me nearly a month but I did it.
I did my 20 so I feel validated to like this
thats why i recommend to everyone who sees this comment to go and read the book called Escape The Comfort Cage, it has completely changed my life
really hope you are right, i will check it out
Fact:
Almost everyone who clicked this video wants to stop seeing self improvement videos and start their grind.
THATS A FACT FELLA
Self improvement videos are a gold mine....if ur still not ready and moved after watching one or two then it's you not the video
So true

i was also trapped in information overloading, i was reading so many self improvement books , watching self development videos that came on my feed, then i realize that i have been just increasing my knowledge but i am not executing it, if you are getting knowledge but u are not taking actions then that knowledge goes in vain, i hope this video reaches out to everyone who is facing the problem of information overloading, thanks for this video people need it.

Your so right @@surtivmak4715
This video really does have an excellent point: taking action is the most important part
Same sh*t, different day. Don’t want the same sh*t? Do something different.
if you do nothing, nothing will change.
If you start something, something may change 💯
"Just do something different "
Bro I have school, homework, study, sleep, eat, extracurriculars every week and these things can get extremely repetitive. Especially because I'm not in college so I can't just "go to a cafe" or any public place without my parent's permission. 😭😔🤚
@@snowy_days333 this is me as well, I don't really know what to do to improve. honestly i'm just waiting for summer break to come so i can focus on myself
i can't take action
@@The_Primitivethen you really dont want to change
Awesome video man, I totally agree with you. Most of those videos are just a dopamine hit and nothing else. I stopped watching those videos and I was recently shocked when I found a "banned" ebook on Forbidden Pages. I was rly depressed and procrastinated so much, but picking up this book and actually applying the knowledge helped me out a lot.
What's the book
"If you click on this video I taught you nothing" lmaooo 💀
Made me laugh out lout 😆
Planning to do a 6 month social media break. Who’s with me ?? 💪🏼

Good point. I find myself watching self improvement videos, making to-do lists and plans, but then feeling like thats enough. and i dont really spend the actual time on it. its just mental masturbation, it becomes a form of procrastination or a form of entertainment.
im trying so hard to really live that life with consistency but damn...
Self improvement is masturbation, now self destruction...
There’s difference between motivation and discipline
Damn, that's what I was looking for! It feels so good to make plans and being like: yeah I am going to research and looks for this and do this bam bam etc " and feeling the excitement and motivation but yeah...that's it. Not doing it and just feeling the feeling day by day. It's so exhausting! Like wtf I want actually DO IT and feeling the change and stuff. Everytime it's the same!
It means u lack discipline my friend.....ur not ready to put in the work ......to take the first step....or it might even be fear of failure...most of us Neva get to start something because of the fear of failure....@@cj_jc00x
I make a beautiful notion pages for my plans and that's it😂
I don't usually comment on videos but to me your video was a confirmation of what I've been doing recently after years of therapy and watching these self-improvement videos. I've finally started taking action after gaining the knowledge I needed to start. And it's the best I've been in a long while. It may sound silly and simple but actually doing things makes me feel much better afterwards. I've learned a lot and now it's time to take action! Prepare yourself and go! This is your sign to act! Life keeps going and you deserve to enjoy it. Good luck everyone, you can do this! 🎉❤
thanks for your comment! Good on you for taking action 💪
Learning is motion, doing is action 💪
And remember that what you do makes your identity.
Crazy thing is I started procrastinating when I started watching self improvement videos. Before self improvement I just took action because I knew what I needed to do and now I am addicted to watching these self improvement videos. My life was 100 times more productive when Addison Rae was on my fyp and now I am just a lazy mf with all these self help gurus on my fyp.
So real😭
U seeking for motivation in the first place is a big step because it means you want to be a better person, after the daily dose of motivation u then find yourself procrastinating it means 3 things...
you lack discipline
Your scared of failure so you don't want to start
U don't have a goal...like something to chase, something to achieve.... your in ur comfort zone... when things start to heat up ... u'll find yourself taking first steps like it's nothing.
I never knew people had this problem. It took me one motivational video to just start working out, eating well and pursuing my dreams. I just watch those videos daily to see if theres anything new to learn. But its nice that you are posting this for people that do struggle with these issues!
Started self improvement but went back to my old ways as soon as i saw results and now I'm stuck
Ill be helping with this soon. I am just gaining more information about what people are finding hard from comments like yours. So thank you!
Keep repeating the process till you see new results
God bless to all the people who are still fighting to get onto the correct path 💗💗
The way you articulated those thoughts so easily , respect man !
action people, ACTION!
God bless you man. I was addicted to watching "how to study" videos instead of actually working on school assignments. I was also overthinking learning a lot. I just had a great wake-up call thanks to you. You are right, the knowledge is within me all along, I will get cracking starting today. Thx for sharing!
I just started studying(more like getting my work done) every day from 4 to 6pm no excuses, but idk how to actually study like learn things thats the reason im so addicted to these types of videos
@@eugeemz6591 I think as long as you're getting stuff done and putting those techniques into practice, you're on the right track!! Just don't watch them without doing any work (like I did) lol
1 STEP FORWARD AND 3 STEPS BACK in the background just made this video 100x better
Few days ago I've realized that there's no right answer how to live a life .I was stuck in the loop, searching the for the seemingly"perfect "answer, not realizing that it is already there. We all know what's best for us,we are just lenient to take action.
This will only make me feel miserable, only taking actions help things to become better.
its so true - plus it keeps pushing the lie that we need to be "fixed"
Damn. This was so so so good. I have had this same thought a bunch of times. It kinda reminds me of the whole "when I have XYZ, then I'll be happy" paradigm, when I've already got everything I need get there. Thanks for the reminder!
Think but never do. We have to do something to help ourselves… especially when you’re depress, burnt out, tired and stress. Thank you for this video
I love this take! I can definitely see where self-improvement videos could hinder somebody's progress. On my channel I try to give advice and tips from my past experience that I feel like could help someone else. Thanks to your video, I'll make sure that I emphasize execution so people don't get caught up in the loop from me. I appreciate your content, keep it up!
exactly what i need to hear at this very moment. i took months repeatedly watching 'how to start a youtube channel' but i never started. because by watching it, it gives me a sense of... yea i can watch more of these and feel 'accomplished' when in fact, i have done nothing. just before i clicked on your video i told myself it's time to stop and not watch any of 'how to start a youtube channel' kind of video because i NEED TO START RIGHT NOW!
💯True! I've been procrastinating. Just decided to start posting consistently.
Banger video. Binging too much "self improvement" content actually makes me feel ill and gives me analysis paralysis.
This video now holds a special place in my heart
He said,” and give me 20 push ups,” I love him!!!
Nice. This is exactly what i’ve been thinking lately. Just by watching videos or planning life is not gonna get better. Only the product of your consumption changes, but you don’t change. That’s why success is built with actions not words or videos
Thank you, i watched defferent self development videos, but nothing change in my life, time is very valuable!!🎉
I think it really is crucial to know when to get up and take action - it's much easier to bask in your fantasy of self-improvement rather than actually making it. However, after about 9 months of massive improvement (after 1 month of watching these types of videos) I have been going downhill, slowly but surely, and it's terrifying.
I think that is because, as you said, the culture we live in is what determines our behaviour. The videos gave me just that - I spent long periods of time looking at and listening to the people I want to be like, so that mindset was normalised. But since I stopped watching them for a really long time, I can sense my will bending to the influence of those who are simply not on the same journey as me, because these are the people I spend my time with (although I have been making some wonderful friends because of my improvement).
This is why I think you, whoever is reading this, should really find a harmony between taking advice and taking action, even if you think you already have the knowledge. It can be books or podcasts too, but I feel like it's logical to target more senses at once.
It's not like chulde didn't say all this - I'm just emphasising the point, as I feel that this may bring upon my downfall and I don't want anyone else in this position. Of course, we all have different problems, so you must decide for yourself what's the right thing to do. And thanks for reading all this.
yes exactly! It’s the point of finding a balance
This is my favorite channel. I especially like it when you explain everything so nicely. I wish you a lot of success with the channel and happy life.
This is by far the most real thing out here that beat the awareness outta me. 😂 Thanks for sharing this reminder! Needed it! ❤
Same has happened to me in my novel writing process I keep thinking I need more and more and goes on to read books or articles or watch videos.
I am grateful that this video pop up
Thanks for making this video. Most self-improvement gurus bolster themselves by shaming their audience for not copying whatever behavior they engage in. Everyone should just do what works for them and adjust accordingly.
I realized all that a couple of days ago but I still sometimes have a hard time not watching a self-improvement video when it comes up on RUclips. Anyway I hope this video goes viral so that a lot of people see it. I think this message is really important so thank you
This is where i've been stuck; knowing but not applying it and taking action. Bit by bit ill put effort and stay consistent; and yes ill give myself breaks, reminders and etc. Thank you for making this video, you've gotten a new subscriber. Im here to support as we all navigate our ways through this long-lasting journey of better ourselves. Thank you, Chulde.
I have been waiting for YT to recommend this vid to me. Ever since, I have been stuck in this cycle and don't know wat to do or implement on my current life, but now when my vision is more clear thanks to you, I was able to escape from being hopeless and continue to watch the same topic over and over.
Well said. Action folks. But also to know when you’re on the field and when it’s time to rest ❤
I agree, 4ra really connects people. We discuss strategies and cheer for our teams together.

I just have to say thank you for this. This made me realize just how long and how much work I put into myself, but don't actually let myself reap the rewards out of it. Thank you for the wake up call.
Sooooo..... you're telling me that watching self-improvement videos are hindering me from actual self-improvement..... while at the same time, I watch this video that is at its essence... a self-improvement video?
That's wild man.
(Cue mind being blown)
i’ve been watching a lot of motivational videos to be successful, until i forgot to start working to make my dreams come true hehe
Wow great video! You're so right I need to stop just studying instead need to start doing more.
I think the main reason I keep watching because like you said it's easy and feels like progress. actually applying the knowledge is the hard but rewarding part.
Thanks again.
So not exactly stop watching self improvement videos, but rather start acting up and use the knowledge youve learnt from them, instead of just, watching them
Brother 100% relatable 😬😬😬 I am watching this types of videos from a long time and when this type of videos recommend a thought came to my mind that by this trick or information i will change my life after watching this but nothing had happend yes many videos are very usefull and its just due to lack of action
Thank you ❤
I love this message and it's a good reminder. I've seen a few people discuss the topic of the over-saturation of self--help videos, and you're totally right : DOING the work is the only thing that will progress you forward - not just consuming self-improvement content. BUT - I wouldn't have pulled myself out of such a dark place if it wasn't through self-improvement content / educational content. It's also better than filling your brain with senseless noise / entertainment.
To a certain extent - I think you're right. Doing the work is the answer.
But at the same time - self improvement content is so incredibly helpful and valuable.
yes! Self improvement videos itself aren’t rlly the issue, only when it’s overindulged
@@chulde Yes - I see your point. BUT... this is me playing devil's advocate / saying another point of view in response: when I was in the dark place, I was "over indulging" on this self-help content because I needed to lift my vibration. My thought process behind it was that if I filled my thoughts with more positivity, that it would eventually boost me to make a change. What are your thoughts on this?
bro made a self improvement video about why you shouldnt watch self improvement videos😭😭
oops 😥
But this was best self improvement I watched till date !! @@chulde
Well said. Action folks. But also to know when you’re on the field and when it’s time to rest
Great Video man! Been going through this! Gonna take action now
You got this!
Thank you for this video. I love the fact that is actually short, so it doesn't actually take much more of our time into that cycle of just watching good content but not taking action. The message feels more genuine due to that.
Did 60 pushups on one go after watching this, tho I normally do 200 each day but not on a go. W video bro!
Slow progress is better than no progress. Keep going and keep being persistent and never give up
Amazing video! That is exactly what I've been thinking of recently. Too much information on how to live and too little life in my life. Thank you for sharing this video. It's refreshing.
they work for me ngl,i watch well i have them downloaded, and i hear them when i travel to work(worthless time)and it keep the idea in my mind always fresh
This is an amazing video. It’s not even a self improvement channel but this video is better than 75% of the “true” self improvement videos. If you read this comment before actually seeing this video make sure to listen to everything. Enjoy watching.
It took me years to understand this. I quit watching self improvement rise and grind videos and started my RUclips channel. I know it's nothing as compared to others but it took so much effort to Just break that cycle and actually do something. I take one step everyday and have a long way to go. Thank you for this video ❤❤
Thanks bro you spoke real facts it really is all the same shit we just gotta act upon it.
I'm just gonna save it and come back everytime, i will be buried under those improvement videos. Thanks.
The real question's is: What will the actions result in? Is it what your searching for?Is it what you Need? What will you learn? In what way will it matter? How did it change other people? Who are you doing it for? How will it change you? And Will it be worth the sacrifice's...? 👍
Yeeesss. For me the beauty and inspirational content was no different from TikTok scrolling, the motivation is still cheap dopamine I'm receiving.
best wake up call ever!!
Your channel is such an inspiration! I'm just starting out with my own channel-please wish me luck on my journey.
1 like = 25 minutes study
Keep reminding me
I just realized this recently myself, so I am glad someone else noticed too and made a video for it. I've been watching self-improvement RUclips videos for years and not much has changed. They say 'Knowledge is Power' but I don't know if that's the case all the time. I think its just sound bytes, its better to read books, exercise, pray, get off RUclips, and live life.
1:16 whole point
I wached this video about 2 months ago, now i understand it, i started working out in my bedroom without knowing a thing about it and only now i am seeing videos actually helping me, like workout guides you're absolutely right, first you need to start, then you need to know and the last thing is just staying consistent
congrats on getting out of the consumption circle
I hope I don't run into the self-improvement video crash. I think I've left the need for new information *at the moment,* because I've gotten to the point where I've cleaned my tornado victim of a room, began learning a high-income skill, have been reading books more often & taking notes, and actually structured my life according to what I've learned and taken in.
I feel like I suck at these steps, but taking an honest look at it, I'm just new to all this. And that means I suck exactly as much as I'm supposed to, and not more. Plans and action beat motivation any day, every day. Definitely glad this came up in my feed, it feels like I'm still going in the right direction for now.
Ok, it was deep message. It's funny that everyone was thinking the same but still watching self-improvements videos. Never ending story. Thank you. :) And I'm staying here (sub)!
They say the same thing over and over again self help books everything. Just get up and do it! This video is great!!
That was dope bro, I feel like a lot of us are on the same path. It’s nice to see🤙🏻
