I personally agree about video games. My son is 25 years old and hasn’t worked an entire year in his whole life. But he can tell you all about video games and things about cars that he hopes to have one day. He won’t have s**t if he doesn’t get off of his a** and quit wasting his life! " wasting the best part of his life " so it's better if he goes getting drunk and fucking random bitches in clubs , right ? Is he a pro simracer ? If he is actually strong and serious about it , let him do his thing , if he's actually strong he will never regret not getting drunk with his dumbass friends , or that he hasnt fucked some bitches. About the work , he should find one and still grow in simracing ( assuming he is a simracer ) after the work . Doing nothing , being drunk and fucking is meaningless , not the best part of life for sure . About the work i agree with you though .
Lmao you're both at wrong. Video game's not much different than music, films, cartoons, anime, etc. They're all different forms of entertainment which has become a crucial part of modern life. While games 24/7 is just as bad as listening to music or watching anime 24/7, which is what your son's doing and I agree with you right there, but doing them moderately helps people cool down alot so that they can get back on the grind called life People love blaming video games for everything cuz it's like one of the biggest digital entertainment out there. You can easily call it out due to alot of 40+ people not understanding the new things that come with changing times Besides, I assume you're around 50 or something. You must have a means of cooling down too. Whenever your son gets his gaming in check and you still get at him, you also need to drop YOUR means of cooldown too. Gotta practice what you preach. Also, 3 hrs of gaming today's like an hr. Whenever your son gets his a dd iction down, you gotta give him space whenever he reserves time time to cool down, be it for 3 to 7 hrs and be it playing games or even listening to music all that time.
The thing is not that he is playing games and spend there so much time but why? To me, video games were an escape from my mental hell, which I had at home and in school. It was the place where I could be myself and people were accepting me. The virtual world doesn't care about my looks or my hobbies, which may be pointless for others, and they try to ruin it to force me to do something better paid for in the future. Most people spend the most time in video games do it because they seem to be more interesting or safer than in real life. Now I am also a father, and the point is to show our kids the real world, support them, and learn how to deal with the hard times. If we succeed, the virtual world won't be interesting to them.
You get loads of people who will come to defence of gaming, but their lives are a mess. Anyway, gaming is crap now. I gave up gaming years ago and I don't regret it at all, there's much better things to do.
@@AratakiBullPowerSiddo1what a shitty excuse to play video games. Crucial? This is just gaslighting yourself. Spiking your dopamine with video games is a distraction. These people that need “a cooldown” are often the most miserable people yet. And they probably have no idea what real grind is because they fall back due to lack of discipline. If you think video games, anime etc is a CRUCIAL part of life, then you have no idea what real grind is and your life is probably mundane. Learning to say no to the things that don’t matter in accordance with your identity will be your greatest asset.
This video came when i was in the start of my 10th classes but now im at the end,i always just ignored this video though it came into my recommendations,Guys just quit this , thiis is a never ending magnetic field.
the sad thing is,our job or university sometimes urge us to have social media, because that's where you got the information of your job or your university from,i was trying to quit from social media for a while yet in the prossces i always misses important information because they share theese information by social media, but to be fair life without social media is so peacfull and relaxing because you spend more time with real world, real person that you know and basicly it maximizing the time you have instead of wasting it on hours of mindless scrolling
If you enjoy playing video games, it's not a waste of time as long as you do it in moderation. Whether something is a waste of time or not always depends on the context. For instance, you can feel miserable if you're addicted to working out or sports, even though they are often considered "healthy." Similarly, being obsessed with eating as little as possible might seem disciplined, but it can lead to unhappiness. What matters is how an activity fits into your life and whether it brings balance and joy. As my grandmother always said: "Too much of a good thing is not good."
I am 15 and for those who are younger than me it's real because between the age of 14-19 you start to begin to think of time because the more you grow the more people are gonna talk to you like ur being an adult and you need to start to think about what you are gonna do in life maybe if you are in 6th, 5th, 7th grade u are not going to understand but 10 days for all of us is a short period of time so a year has x35 time this
Stupid to compare being good or brainless when you Play Videogames. Its a coping mechanism for some. Ofc its Not good to do anything TOO much not only Videogames. But liking them and dose it right CAN be a huge Dopamin and winning strike
He probably can't phrase what he wants to say because of language barriers, but he probably feels the same way since he says he likes video games. And let's be honest, if we could all trade the time we spend with video games for a meaningful task, we would. The truth is that video games are fun, and yes it sucks that it's a waste of time, but anyone who plays video games has to accept that it is indeed, a waste of time. (Unless you are a pro esports player for a living)
As everything, it depends. He’s on stage and ofc can’t deep dive in the subject, but let’s put it in this scenario: You play video games without a goal, without friends and you replace videogames with school, training and other things and procrastinate. This is not a good path. Other scenario: You do play video game with a certain goal, you play with your friends and in a certain limit. You play after you done your chores and don’t put stuff behind. Sure in the case it’s not a bad thing. But many many many players today are lost in the addiction, video games mobile games social media etc etc Maybe the right person sees this video and reflect on his own moves past years
I agree with this, I play on my free time and breaks sometimes, maybe a combined 30 minutes to an hour a day if any at all that day, you can definitely regulate it but the problem with most is that they don’t have the discipline to.
@@tnolton2497 Good story games are not a waste of time. It’s like a good book or a good movie. Of course you should only do it in moderate consumption.

honestly, what works for me to keep up the motivation, is simply to write down WHY i want to do it, and then read that list of reasons whenever the motivation dwindles. this has actually helped on quitting p*rn altogether, because i really want to quit it but it was hard. now, whenever i feel like watching some again. by doing that, i bring back the same guilt feeling of knowing p*rn is bad you for, and needing to quit. this method helps a little bit on generally fueling back up your motivation for things, that are hard to turn into a new habbit. not my credit for coming up with the "method". found on a reddit post

I love video games. I also realize that they are a waste of time. Why level up in a game when you can level up in real life? However whenever people specifically blame video games for robbing the younger generation of their time, I can't help but think that video games are not the problem. It's just another way to spend your free time. The same way people can binge tv shows & movies. Some people spend hours playing games. Some people spend their time reading books or going out . It comes down to how you decide to use your time. It's not the video games that are the problem, it's the people who put off what they know they need to do, and use them as an escape. Everything in moderation.
As a gamer, I wanna say video games are not bad. They don't harm you. But too much gaming( playing game for more than 2 hours) or game addiction is bad. Then only it harms you otherwise it won't as research also shows that playing game for certain time ( for 1-1.5 hrs) is good as it improves response time, focus, deceision making, etc. And also, depending on the game as some crime games which contains n*dity and many more dirty stuffs may affect your emotion and personality.
It's impossible to quit video games but you can lessen your time with it. Just as what i did with mine. I've deleted all of social media except youtube because i like videos of science/physics and math. Also so i can know what's going on with the world

@@wonderfool1772 that's highly valuable information what I do is play for a hour or two then I don't play games at all for the next 4-5 days then play and keep repeating is this routine good or should I change it please give a honest opinion and as of now I am currently playing and improving at chess and I'll start reading books too and try to learn 3D art like blender or learn coding and thanks a lot for your reply please let me know if there is something else I'll try to fix or work upon it
After my birthday this year, I took up a challenge . By my next birthday, I want to achieve atleast 50% of my potential. If you have read, "Can't Hurt Me", you know what I mean. Its frustrating to live a mediocre life. David Goggins, If you are reading this, I want you to know that you inspire me and I aspire to be you.
My biggest nightmare is to look back and find that it has swolen my brain and youth period
I personally agree about video games. My son is 25 years old and hasn’t worked an entire year in his whole life. But he can tell you all about video games and things about cars that he hopes to have one day. He won’t have s**t if he doesn’t get off of his a** and quit wasting his life! He’s my step son so his Mother is always making excuses for him. I’ve tried to tell him that he’s wasting the best part of his life but what do I know?
While games 24/7 is just as bad as listening to music or watching anime 24/7, which is what your son's doing and I agree with you right there, but doing them moderately helps people cool down alot so that they can get back on the grind called life
People love blaming video games for everything cuz it's like one of the biggest digital entertainment out there. You can easily call it out due to alot of 40+ people not understanding the new things that come with changing times
Besides, I assume you're around 50 or something.
I dont have those problems right now, Thank god. Discipline is key remember that. 👑💪
This video came when i was in the start of my 10th classes but now im at the end,i always just ignored this video though it came into my recommendations,Guys just quit this , thiis is a never ending magnetic field.
It’s about prioritizing your well-being and choosing peace over persistence when it's no longer serving you ❤
It's like a temptation. Even no matter how much I try to avoid, it's so easy for me to fall onto it. Thinking that's my only source of happiness.
Shutter down all social media, much better without them
the sad thing is,our job or university sometimes urge us to have social media, because that's where you got the information of your job or your university from,i was trying to quit from social media for a while yet in the prossces i always misses important information because they share theese information by social media, but to be fair life without social media is so peacfull and relaxing because you spend more time with real world, real person that you know and basicly it maximizing the time you have instead of wasting it on hours of mindless scrolling
I am going to do it. Starting today, path of self control begins
It is rare to see someone to have the courage to say that nowadays. That's why Goggins is who he is 💪💪
If you enjoy playing video games, it's not a waste of time as long as you do it in moderation.
I deleted all the games on my mobile while khabib speaks
I am 15 and for those who are younger than me it's real because between the age of 14-19 you start to begin to think of time because the more you grow the more people are gonna talk to you like ur being an adult and you need to start to think about what you are gonna do in life maybe if you are in 6th, 5th, 7th grade u are not going to understand but 10 days for all of us is a short period of time so a year has x35 time this
God I love David Goggins for saying this, this resonates within my soul. Because I never liked to follow the masses.

I'm going to do 20 pushups starting today. I'm going to add 2 pushups everyday for the next year. Growth is unstoppable if you commit to it!

He’s on stage and ofc can’t deep dive in the subject, but let’s put it in this scenario:
You play video games without a goal, without friends and you replace videogames with school, training and other things and procrastinate. This is not a good path.
Other scenario:
You do play video game with a certain goal, you play with your friends and in a certain limit. You play after you done your chores and don’t put stuff behind.
Sure in the case it’s not a bad thing.
But many many many players today are lost in the addiction, video games mobile games social media etc etc
Maybe the right person sees this video and reflect on his own moves past years
I agree with this, I play on my free time and breaks sometimes, maybe a combined 30 minutes to an hour a day if any at all that day, you can definitely regulate it but the problem with most is that they don’t have the discipline to.
When you have an actual goal, there is no spare time, everything else just becomes a real distraction
@@tnolton2497 Good story games are not a waste of time. It’s like a good book or a good movie. Of course you should only do it in moderate consumption.
When I doubt my actions, I ask myself one question: "when I'll be on my deathbed, would I regret doing/not doing it?". Been my moto for the last 2 years, life never felt so fulfilling
*motto
Video games and social networks will always be there, time will not.
David is so real raw talk ❤ everything
honestly, what works for me to keep up the motivation, is simply to write down WHY i want to do it, and then read that list of reasons whenever the motivation dwindles.
this has actually helped on quitting p*rn altogether, because i really want to quit it but it was hard. now, whenever i feel like watching some again. by doing that, i bring back the same guilt feeling of knowing p*rn is bad you for, and needing to quit.
this method helps a little bit on generally fueling back up your motivation for things, that are hard to turn into a new habbit.
not my credit for coming up with the "method". found on a reddit post
It already ruined me but i'm on the path of recovery, resurrection.
i finally woke up and stopped playing video games at age 31. i was using video games to distract myself from the hard work i knew i should have been doing to improve my life.
2:09 True My man
Thank you for this video, I just deleted everything
You’re correct. I had a social media phase. It lasted two three years. Now I have almost none. I’m burned out. I love spending time in nature now and if not for winter that causes such cold tjat I despise I would be out there, enjoying it. Besides the essential things I need to do of course like studying, workout, spending time with pets and my loved ones of course
I got fed up of social media I never really enjoyed it. Just so I could have contact with my friends that’s all
David goggins ❤
Brother, I really value a healthy life and I think it's totally right to enjoy the time we have by LIVING and not pretending to live. But, playing is a hobby, everything in excess is bad, but if you consume it moderately, only on weekends, just 2 hours a day after doing your duties, you'll be fine and it won't corrupt your mind.
FR BRO VIDEO GAMES AND SOCIAL MEDIA IS RUINING US. I JUST REALIZED THIS.
Facts. Great video 🎉
Love this guy, great video bro!
Thanks brother ❤ "stay Hard "
Regardless of your situation right now ik its hard even for me too but seriously like tell me who cares dont give up your permanent happiness for these temporary social media happiness.

Deleting social media is the best thing I ever did however, I still play video games pretty much everyday and I always have a lot of fun. Social media is a big problem but I don’t see the issue of gaming
Cutting back social media for new year
Its been 7 months i use social media once a month and idgf even though i dont use it for once it doesn't affect my life anymore i am haopy to quit porn social media and video games
I’m in my late 30s now. I don’t play video games anymore. Back in my college days, I had a disciplined schedule when it came to video games. I would work & go to school. It took up almost all my time. I had a rule were I would only play video games for 2 hours only on weekends. I would set a timer & allow myself to have an ephemeral period to escape my busy life. It worked for me.
Great guy!
I deleted all my "social" medias 2 years ago except youtube, however, I lost a friend in the process. I almost never play video games & I don't use a smart phone. I exercise every week except on holidays & I have much more free time. It is amazing BUT it does NOT fix everything. YOU have to do that yourself.
I deleted these social apps 2 days ago I hope I can make it atleast for 5 years I hope I can make it
Just remember to not isolate yourself too much otherwise you wouldn't even be here to see this video
Motivating bro 🔥,,, Good luck for your channel
Thanks a lot man 🙌...
I started getting fat and eating like a maniac since I was 16 yrs old. It hurts you know, I wasted almost 6 yrs being like that and at my worst time, I was 21yrs old with a height of 5 ft 10 and a weight of about 110kg (pure fat, no muscle)
this was until last year in 2023 (september), when something inside me snapped, and I was just so frustrated of it
Frustrated of everybody telling me I was fat...
Frustrated of everybody saying may god look after me now...
I stand here in 2024 (november), telling you that I am 22yrs old, 5 ft 10 and 72 Kg. I got to this weight at around april 2024 (I lost 33 - 35 kilos in 7 months)
I do pushups, planks, leg raises (currently aiming for pull ups, haven't been able to do one yet)
I wanna thank Goggins for what he is doing... (and has done)
F*ck people's opinions and what they think about you... If you know what you are doing is right, the other people don't know what you have been through !

Same man i am 17 and i realised it early i am 5’7.5 i was 88-90 kgs i lost 12 kgs in 2 months i eat clean I don’t eat at night in 90% of the days i avoid oil and sugar and i run 5-10 kms everday it has brought discipline and has chamged my looks and life and now my friends are seeing me helping them also to get better my target is 70kg by end of this year and abs till the end of my 12th grade
I was so addicted to gaming that it was damaging my health. I noticed that it was eating up my life so I stopped completely made a lot of changes. Now I'm in the second year of med school and changed my body by exercising.
I've been needing some motivation. This Really helps. thank you bro

Mental Health to Social Media : am I fucking joke to you ?
I do it now i have played videogames over 2000hours now i sell my ps5 amd stop❤
My brother, what's music name in background
Thanks 🙏
It's impossible to quit video games but you can lessen your time with it. Just as what i did with mine. I've deleted all of social media except youtube because i like videos of science/physics and math. Also so i can know what's going on with the world
Didn't know duolingo was out for a long time, thought it came out recently
Music name plz
Yeah i WISH i had a substitute for it, it´s just that i dont. I´m in a loop of a life where social interaction is not to be had so easily, i come from the cold north of Sweden and we really don´t socialize with each other here unneccessarily. 😅Getting a bit old as well when i come to think of it but that´s something i would rather want to forget about.
if you got nothing to do its better to play something then just sit in the bed makes no sense, spending time to have fun is not wasting
thanks!!!
love that ❤
then why you on social media?
But you can get friends if you have 2 lives... Like knowing friends in games and then meeting them. Some kids don't know how to manage their time so yea its ruining them
