What an unbelievable voice, so much passion, and love from Canada 🇨🇦

She once shared that she shaved her head to protect herself from being abused. She wanted to be "ugly" through the eyes of men. She also did it in protest of her mother calling her the pretty daughter (vs. her "ugly" sister). She shaved again when her record company wanted her to be more sexy and show more skin, so she did..the skin on her head. What strength and bravery this women has. I feel I could sit in a room and talk with her for hours.

She grew up in horrid abuse and then got her heart broken many times. But God blessed her with the voice of an angel and she has not taken that lightly. She shares it with all of us through words and emotions we can all relate to. Many singers stand in front of a mic with only words being sung, but she shows her emotions and reaches into your soul. I often wonder what her ex felt when he heard her singing this about him. I think if he came near her she'd flatten him right there on the stage lol

Daniel O'Sullivan This is pre hard rock. Sinead went on to compose for Stepping Wolf, Motorhead, Motley Crue, U2 etc, where it was okay to be angry. The inside anger was never vented before. With Stepping Wolf they had some of their own songs and needed an investor, Sinead stepped forward, grabbed the mic, "try screaming like this," Screaming was the only way Sinead would invest. Investment meant losing monies as transportation, reels, and office expenses would eat away profits. But, in Sinead's mind...couples would not be dancing together anymore...and composed songs for reggae, etc. Except, with a softer tone composed songs for country musicians, for Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and a few males.

Sinead O'Connor songs have helped me since I was a teenager in the 80's release of "The Lion and the Cobra," album by her was realeased in 1987. Now almost 30 years later they still do. I do not judge others' opinions, but some words of wisdom, when you put down someone else, in this case several comments refer to Sinead needing or hoping by others that she gets through "her shit." When a person talks negative about another person they are only pointing out things in their life that need improving.
As for the empowering strength she gives others, guess where that reminder of Sinead's lyrics, shows HER STRENTH!!!!!!
Best version of this song ever!

You have feelings, Mrs. O'Connor you sing beautiful for the women's and the crowds will that have happened, you could speak to somebody before anything happened to you. Everybody has problems in the world, but you should end your life's so quick. There's people that really need help with the talk with each other. And people always need help with each other people. Should not end their life, people should talk with people. When somebody gets to the sea, so professionally. It's not your fault you try every penny to help a person. But you have to move on with your life. You still have in your heart, but you're still never let it go. It's like holding your lips pretty in your pocket
