I've just had one of these installed and it's brilliant and the guy installed it all with no bother. The boiler modulates right down and gets the place nice and warm at a lower temperature. The app is useful and you can adjust the heating curve quite easily to reflect the conditions in your property. This boiler replaced a sixteen year old ecotec plus 831 which had a minimum load of 9kw and obviously it cycled a lot. Initially I wanted an ecotec pro, but after it was all explained to me I opted to go for the latest technology.

I have similar boiler to yours. WHich came without a power cord.
Question: is it hard to install it myself or will I have to invite an electritian ? Is there a installation guid? Can't seam to find one.
If I can DIY it myself then what are the importent considerations i should I have?

Hi Mark: My SensoRoom VRT 51f thermostat is in a bedroom downstairs and the Ecotec Pure boiler and Gateway are in the kitchen upstairs. When the thermostat is upstairs near the Gateway, the system functions very well. But, when the thermostat is downstairs, the Bluetooth signal from the thermostat to the Gateway is very low or 0 and the boiler does not turn on. I prefer not to have the thermostat in the kitchen. Vaillant advises using a Vaillant VR 52 repeater which (they say) extends the thermostat Bluetooth signal throughout the house. Perhaps a video on this device (VR 52) would be helpful to others in my situation, too. Thanks!

I have just had a new Vaillant combi boiler installed and has a SENSO COMFORT WIRELESS Control and like some others on your site have not had it explained how to use this controler and the info books are a joke. I have looked at all your videos which are very well produced but I cannot find information on this controller unless I have missed it, if you have not made a video on this please if possible can you make one. Thanks for all the time it must take in making these excellent videos.

This is interesting...but does this replace the 921 unit or is it a different branch? And does this work with heat pumps as well?

I think it took a while because you clicked yes when it asked about a previous installation. To me, that question means if something was installed prior to the one you’re installing now, to which the answer would be no. Great video though :)

Hi Mark, great video many thanks. Have you connected one of these to a VRC700? Looks like you might have to wire it off the pos and neg terminals in the VRC700 into the supplied ebus plug although the installation instructions are not very clear. Be very interested in your expert advice. Cheers, Simon

    Hi Mark
    Great videos!
Do you know a way of installing a load modulating heating stat on old gen 615 system boiler with third party cylinder, valves and controls, Vaillant technical a month ago advised the VRT 50 senso room stat would work with existing controls, only to be told today it won’t….can you shed any light at all 🙏🏻

Could anyone recommend a simple way to keep an even temp in a house to help counteract damp. I also have a ventilation system. Just need to keep it from getting too cold throughout the day and night.

We have just had the Vaillant EcoTec Plus 32kw boiler fitted but I don’t know if we need to add the SensoCOMFORT as a control panel? Or should it be SensoHOME? Is SensoHOME just a room thermostat and not a control panel?
I’m so confused and our engineer isn’t knowledgable about this model because it’s so new and they usually only fit Hive controls.
Also… Why do we have two boxes to connect under the boiler rather than 1?

I just went through same issues. Vaillant shared very little information about compatibility of controls with myvaillant connect gateway. In fact, there is currently only one control - SensoROOM - showed in this video that doesn't require installation of second white box (base station) under it. Sensohome and SensoComfort in addition to myvaillant connect (in order to connect it to the internet/mobile app), require installation of base station that plug in the second ebus port under the new range of ecotec plus boilers.
Informations available on Vaillant website are very misleading.

@@ricom5284 thanks for that, I've purchased SensoComfort and the internet thing for self install, but could not work out if I needed to fit the base unit too.
Questions to Vaillant tec go unanswered , I guess they want us all to pay one of their installers, even though I have had no replies to my request for an installer from their website

I agree, I dont want an app telling me if I'm cold or hot! Absolute madness, and them telling us its more efficient, okay, but I'm still cold! lol
I recently had this boiler installed and sadly this flat has a lot of heat loss, but I've struggled with it, to the point where I just put it on manual and even then, I'm told ny Viallant that the system will still be controlled by the app.
I was told I can change the radiator temperature manually in heating curve, but their are 3 options. Does anyone know which one makes the radiators hotter so I can feel warm in here please 😂. Thanks

If you have a older boiler and went for the gateway VR 940F and RF thermostat option (referred as the more expensive option in the video.) BEWARE the cheapskates at Vaillant do not include a power supply. I now have to source one.
