Interesting how they added the texture to the aluminum handle. That lock on the vision is very interesting, too. That's a whole lot of interestingness!!!!
Idk why they had to do all that billboarding on the blade of the vision. I got the Damascus version for the simple fact that it hides the billboarding
I've never been a fan of a bunch of billboarding, myself. You definitely can't go wrong with the Damascus version. That one looks amazing!
The blade profile is remarkably similar to the TJ Shwarz Overland fixed blade.
Civivi does it right I own quite a few of them and this Sentinel Strike will be joining the others I love this integral knife the blade shape the du chicken how do you spell dual opening options and of course the reversible pocket clip this one checks all the boxes for me thanks for sharing brother Beez 🐝

Sentinel Strike, DISAPPOINTED, I've been hoping to see Civivi come out with a higher level of the Watauga with a more affordable version of the Ziffius. I won't be spending my money on an aluminum handled knife. And what's with the blade steel K110? Where is the NITRO-V? Man...

Wish they would have used G-10 Micarta or Carbonfiber on the Sentinel instead of super cheap FRN .. FRN belongs in $25-$35 knives not $90 knives ...& The pocket clip location on the Snex is stupid ..

I think it's more a matter of whether you want the integral backspacer, and the different blade shape. The serene is an absolute home run for the price!
The handle design looks similar (first knive) to the sencut I have it in blue and it’s probably my most fidget but unfortunately it could be cause I live in Minnesota (humidity) or from washing semis after finishing the body work on it (also humid in the wash bay) but one or the other it causes my sencut, EF (axis lock) and my ganzo to slightly rust (also axis lock) but all 3 knives have slight rust on the left side of the blade by the brands logo (I put knives only on my left side I’m left handed but handle or fidget with my right hand but if i actually use the knife then I use it in my left hand but all my otfs I do put the pocket clip for left handed cause I like the button of the otf on the inside of my pocket) sorry if it’s long lol
In aviation those holes are called lightning holes I don't know where the knife community is coming up with speed holes.

Beez, on the pocket clip for the vision FG, me being a lefty that's why I usually don't bother switching the clip around as for a lefty it's usually a better feeling grip w/ the clip positioned for righties. thinking about grabbing this one for sure.

Coincidentally, just got my Sentinel Strike today, and this video showed up in my feed! Thanks Google. But anyway, I can vouch, "it'saverrryniiice". Very "slicey". I bought it because I saw another review and it's a lot lighter than the old Kershaw folder of about the same size, as I am putting together a "go bag". All four deployment methods work beautifully and the factory edge is really sharp. Even though it's the most expensive folder I've ever bought (yes, I know they can get a LOT more expensive), I'm very happy with it.
Really wanting a Vision. Blade swap to make jade/black. That label maker looking designer branding isn't good though. Small gripe.
Got this on sale today the sentinel that is already had the FG . Civivi becoming my fav brand .. affordable and just awesome.. the brazen buttob lock is just crazy aswell

I really like both knives. I already ordered the Sentinel Strike and I plan to order a Vision FG. I had the Sencut Mims on my wishlist but that is the knife I see as most like the Strike. I may now forego the Mims as it appears the Strike is a better choice.

Both are on the way here as of noon. I already have a Ziffius and a Watauga. The Sentinel Strike fits in the middle. The Vision is just plain cool. I fell in love with it at Bladeshow while playing with the WE version. I like the Civvi even better especially the pocket clip.
The pocket clip is a giant hotspot on the FG.

Small nitpick on the Vision. I really like it and want to grab one but the only non PVD coated blade comes in that Jade colored G10 which I’m really tired of. Hopefully they will come out with some other options soon.
The beauty of jade G10 is that you can dye it. So you want a purple handle? Boom, done.
@@gregs7519 Very true, and I’ve dyed some G10 a few times. I did this weekend but it didn’t turn out at ALL how it was supposed to, lol. The main issue is, I’ve never taken apart a button lock and the lock on this looks even more complicated, 😂😂🤷♂️
@@cwalker228 yeah, sometimes they take on weird colors due to the base G10. The bright color on the bottle is assuming a pure white material, and there's different types of jade G10, different resins etc. Blues seem to turn out the best, and of course graphite (black). It's also important to make sure you use the Rit made for synthetic materials.
