I had the most luck on the incoming tides around the back country keys so far. The bait is always flushing out the bait on the outgoing making the bridges and points productive as well. There are so many good looking spots it almost frustrating but I believe chumming up is key. Catch you out there Steve! Enjoy
Dude Ive spent months preparing for my honeymoon here and I have to say, thanks for all the information. We're probably going to check out this launch today we launched by old wooden bridge yesterday!
You're in my back yard now. I am just a part time resident of Big Pine as of yet, but soon to be a full time resident when I can make a break from the daily grind. I hope you keep fishing the BPK area so I can get some tips and techniques from you. I have kayaks and a small center council boat that I use here. Keep bending the rod!!!
Ha! Now you're fishing MY stomping grounds....withy all the water back there I'm more likely to see you at the launch rather that fishing...from that launch - and an almost identical kayak - I'll go as far as East Bahia Honda Key,Big Spanish Key,Jack Bank,,Bullfrog and Spanish banks....There's lots of good stuff you've missed: For one,you practically ran over a 12' deep magic bomb hole with caves, overhangs and good current. Surrounded by good flats near the channel. Good spot for trout and nicer mangos.
I launched from there in 2017 during my honeymoon on a kayak charter trip. I landed 3 juvenile tarpon and had a shark eat a permit. I was there one week before Irma.
Hey Steve! Must have made this last week! Wind gusts in the twentys this week. If I ever decide on starting a channel I would stock pile videos for the not so nice days. Thanks for the insight. Edit; No seat belt!
Have you ever fished in alaska? Its a bit late now but I think you would love fishing for Halibut and many other species here in Alaska! Love your content!
been in florida for 2 years and the weather is just hot and humid (my feet stinks lol) , went back to NY and now here is 60 degrees finally can feel fall and winter again lol
Took a kayak trip to the Content Keys on Wednesday out of Big Pine. Port Pine area. 15 mile trip. Sore as hell but worth it. Thats a great spot to fish. A lot easier with your yak having an outboard. Cheater. Lol
@@billrector yes. Just once. We regularly go out to Sawyer Key and Tarpon Belly. Will be doing another Content Key trip in spring when we get more daylight. It wasn't too bad. 2 1/2 hr paddle each way.
Put your seatbelt on. For someone who pinches those pennies, you sir are just throwing it right out the door. Albeit it’s not a lot of money but it is money

if your feet are stinky you might have a fungus infection. there is a common infection amongst Florida fisherman, called Steve Foot. :P

Wayyyy to many commercials on this one Steve.
Why blow up spots for cheap likes though? Golden fishing rule number 1 “You don’t tell people your spot!” What are you doing bro? 🤦♂️✌️
