Keep prospecting Steve! I sure love seeing how you are attacking the backwaters here on Bpk. I have primarily been an offshore and reef guy, seeing the skinny details opens up new frontiers! We live in port pine heights at the north end of Bpk, so you are prospecting our back yard
Steve, the spots you are hitting seem only accessible by kayak or a boat with a really shallow draft. Do you think a boat with a draft of 12"-18" could access those areas? Love the videos, keep'em coming!
open bail is used with live bait. In an area with fewer obstructions it's a good technique to let the bait run. We will put the rod in the holder bail open. We put a copper wire on the reel foot, and then hook the line on the copper wire. When the bait runs, and a fish takes the bait, the copper wire releases the line, close the bail, hook gets set. Works for sailfish, yellowtail snapper what ever you're after.
Always nice when the fish jumps in the boat😎😎😎
Them young Tarpon are fun to play with . Old Shark wanted that Cuda . Good video Steve thanks for taking us alone .

nice kayak. 🐡
Isn't against the law in Fla. to take a Tarpon that size out of the water
Tarpon over 40 ins. must remain in water.
Going to be down that way in Nov, what's the best bait to use in Nov? Love your channel would love to go fish with you both fly and open bail
