Absolutely needed this video! The imposter syndrome mindset mistake has been overwhelming lately, and this was the reminder I needed to keep pushing forward!!
My mindset gets in the way. I keep having thoughts like “oh clay products that are handmade don’t sell” or “your stuff isn’t good enough” I want to do this. I don’t want to keep working my low paying retail job.
thank you, really interesting and helpful information. I have had my shop up for a month.... zero sales and minimal views. i will try some of your suggestions
I haven’t made any mistakes you mentioned and after one year of my shop being open it still sucks. However I have learned on thing and that is patience. it will probably take another 2-3 years for my shop to be somewhat profitable.
Thanks for this Kate! I have a quick question - I took an old Etsy shop that sold digital items and revamped it to sell new tangible items. Not sure if this is a good strategy but i figured instead of opening up a whole new shop I’d use one I had and just change things around. Do you think I’ll make sales?
Thank you, Miss Kate! I appreciate the time you put in for us to get us over rough & smelly brain-farts that our bodies release when we stress ouselves to smithereens. I thank you for YOU! 🙃
Hi Kate! Thank you so much for making this beginner video and also the next one for beginners. However, I’m having a hell of a time searching how you were able to re-color of the background. Please recognize that we are total beginners… Some of us anyway. So what is the actual steps that you took to get that color guide or color box up top to recolor the background. I’ve already spent about 30 minutes trying to see how you did that. And then, additionally, while I know that command, Z on a Mac will get me to the previous steps I have taken, I have taken so many additional steps that I could not just automatically go back to my original photo where I removed the background. How would I get to the step to get my original photo back? Thank you!
Hi friend, of course Etsy has changed and that has hurt some shops but that’s not unique to Etsy. As I’ve ventured out in my own business I have realized that this is part of online business in general. Not minimizing you or any one else’s legitimate problems they have had on Etsy just saying that change is part of any business and being able to overcome it-learn, unlearn, and relearn-is usually the way you stay profitable long term. Cheering you on!
Hi Kate! I I have had a store on Etsy for 2 months offering Print on Demand, I already have 5-star reviews and I have sold 12 times, now I am very interested in this field of digital products, do you recommend me that I open a new store? or should I continue with my same store and add new digital products there?
because sellers outnumber buyers, also there is little to no consumer protection, I stopped buying from Etsy when i paid for a product and never recived anything, prior to that i got scammed on the site and the final nail in the coffin was when i tried to refund a mistaken purchase baught only one our prior only for the seller to say no refunds and send me an awful product i did not want, and they wonder why people worship the almighty corporations, simple because they protect customers and refund bad purchases and actually offer some customer care
Hi there, I’m sorry you’ve had bad experiences on Etsy but I assure you that the sellers do not outnumber the buyers. Data from 2022-2023 shows there were about 7.5 millions sellers and almost 100 million buyers annually. While quality can be an issue on a platform like Etsy, in some cases, you have more power than big box stores. For example, if you buy something from a large retail store or online and have an issue, you represent such a small fraction of revenue for them it really doesn’t matter as much to them in the grand scheme of things. You are a tiny spec to a billion dollar brand. On the other hand, most Etsy shops are individuals or small teams and are more app to go the extra mile to please their customers. You also have the power to choose, based on various factors, which shop you want to support. The market is more diverse.
Hi ms kate, Ive been here since I started my etsy shop last yr. Planning to have a new one with more focus on one niche.😊did you use your own referral link to open a new shop? Can I open another shop with my own referral link? What do you recommend? thank you in advance,💓 Hoping for your response. Greetings from the Philippines.
Hey there! I did not personally do this, so I’m not sure. You could always reach out to Etsy seller support to ask and make sure it’s allowed! Cheering you on in your new shop!!
Have the etsy store selling digital products but only 3 sales in a year and no sales since 9 months it’s really frustrating but I really want to do this because i love it and love creating products and want to make a living out of it maybe i am not the lucky one because even after doing good seo and research before product creation
Thanks great presentation!!!
You’re welcome!

Unfortunately, Etsy has changed so much I feel at times they have failed the sellers.

15”.. vampire
I've made 8 sales £168 but I've never seen the money? Does it go into my ad spend?
You can see details of all of the financial details in your payment account!
I’ve dealt with a bad Etsy seller and Etsy gave me $20 gift card to make it up
There are so many sellers ...
There are but there are also more and more shoppers each year increasing demand!
Have you made any of these mistakes?? Let me know! 👇🏼👇🏼

I am not sure to understand what you’re talking 😂
I’m sorry for your fast talking speed
Sorry friend, a lot of information to cover. Try slowing the speed down on RUclips.
Good content, but why do all of your example videos show females only? 😐
Good point, we will add some guys in the future! 😊
