made this farm and it turned out insane, made a automatic sorter under, with bones, flesh, arrows, gunpowder, and redstone, then under the bones one I put a crafter that let to the sugar cane farm you made about 4 months ago, now I have a xp farm, sugar cane farm that can be either a book farm ( I have a cow farm below) or a rocket farm thanks to the creepers, absolutely insane!!
tip: don’t use slabs to “see” mobs. this farm does work over sea, so you don’t need to see the mobs dying. lost my first netherrite armour set to a spider glitching thru the slabs. maybe i should’ve had thorns. i have taken the slabs off and added blocks, and also gotten thorns on chest plate for extra pre caution. farm works creating when using the looting method, and i only have 2 layers, planning to build more soon.
Came here to say exactly this. I just build it with just 3 layers and the spiders can get stuck on top of the pistons and get outside from under the slab. I replaced the blocks with tinted glass.

Just found out that creepers do spawn and if you're not quick enough they will ruin your day. I am building the bottom part in obsidian and part of the platform.

Just a quick suggestion you could make a playlist or secondary channel that does in real time videos it may not be the best of ideas but it might be pretty good and also if you did live streams in RUclips shorts it may be a good way to find other audience members
It works perfectly! thank you so much! I would recommend to have some sort of sticky piston mechanism to block the hole. Otherwise a creeper might blow it up whilst u are trying to activate the pistons.
Figured I'd help some people out building this, you dont need to, but i recommend building 130 blocks above the ocean or above the land you build on instead of only 100. I have 3 levels rn, and it's got a really good rate, but i plan to add 2 - 3 more to maximize it. Replace the slabs with tinted glass as you can still get the Xp through it, and if you need to break it, you can pick up the block and replace it without needing silk touch like normal glass. Spiders will still occasionally glitch through the glass, so add trap doors over the glass, and it'll stop them from fully glitching out. (Can still get Xp through glass and closed trap doors) lastly wouldnt hurt to add some extra blocks around the sides of the bottom chamber to also stop spiders from glitching through the one block width. You dont need to pick up the trident if you leave or log off, and a trident with any durability won't break. Just make sure you turn it off when you leave the area, server, or world. Enjoy‼️
I’m finding that spiders are glitching through the wall somehow and attacking me while I’m on the platform next to the lever. It only happens when they fall and land on an extended piston. Any recommendations?
I added trapdoors in front of the slabs and it seems to work to keep spiders from glitching through. Add them and fold them down covering the hole. Then you can still access the hole when you want.
blaze, to not pick up the trident when u are close to the trident killer u can put a fence on the top block, so u can get the trident but you’ll get the xp (sry for my bad english here, it’s bc i don’t know how to describe it)

I built this without a trident killer because i built 2 other farms but i noticed that you can get skeletons to shoot creepers by quickly ducking and standing up. Ive gotten 11 unique music discs in under 2 hours and i have just 3 layers so far
Was just wondering if covering the floors with scaffolding and flowing water would make it faster....has that mechanic changed? Also i think I would surround the trident killer area with more blocks to help prevent glitching etc
So here’s a tip for a lot of you creepers are a problem in this build due to their height so block their vision another thing is snow make sure not to build this in the snow
can you give us a minecraft seed that shows the best place to build a mob farm also showing where the caves you need to light up are??? because thats one thing i struggle with on my xp farms
The easiest thing to do is have a base near the ocean. Then build all of your farms above the ocean. This will fix all related issues. I usually go 120 blocks or so away from land and then 100 or so up maybe

Yo blazedmc I haven't commented in a while but I have super easy slime farm that is way easier to make and twice as efficient as your old one. Also I have a great snow farm as well which will help the farm too

The Trident, is used to kill the mobs without you actually touching them. The reason why he didn't use a block like the campfire, is because it doesn't give you XP. You can make some adjustments by using a looting sword, but that will take quite the durability away.

bro it doesn't mater which way the observer is facing for the trident killer and you also don't need to use torches you can just put a solid block there.
You can switch out some of the blocks at the bottom of the drop area, for either soul sand, or wooden slabs, they seem to not be able to climb up those
Will expanding the platform cause any issues? I'd like a bed up here since I play with my wife. Awesome farm btw! Built 3 layers for now and it works like a charm, will probably increase layers once I stock up on more blocks.
Hey, built this high up in snow covered mountains, no rivers nearby, but nothing is spawning. Are rivers the only bad biome, or is snowy mountains garbage too? Any insights appreciated!

@ it was because I was using stained glass and not tinted glass I discovered. I built his bigger one over an ocean and even attached a 30 villager iron farm to it. Can afk for days at that spot. ☺️
I live in a snowy mountain biome… I have some flat land around it, would the height of the mountains affect the spawner? I have had to redo it from different videos so many times. I have hope for this one though… I’m on survival and have spent 35 MC days on this crap😭😭😭

You can also use soul sand because it is not a full block like mud.
Built this farm with a total of 4 layers, it's working great. In 10 minutes I got 10 levels and about 2 stacks of items.

Can happily say this works wonders. Only did two extra layers and I’m getting crazy amounts of mobs spawning still.

You should be fine just leaving the trident. I’ve made some of his farms with the trident thing and I’ve never picked it up and it hasn’t de spawned

if you don't build it in a high place, mobs will spawn anywhere like your underground cave,.. so it will make your farm less efficient

Yo wassup, I think it's not the seeds if ur having problem of mobs spawning maybe it's the location and mob spawning in bedrock is less than java
^^ The seed wont make a difference. Just make sure you aren't in a river biome

This one is fairly new, sorry. According to a google search, mobs can no longer spawn in snowy biomes

there's rivers by mine but I made it a good distant from them and as I was building skeletons spawned but once it was done nothing spawned

Build it in a normal biome, you only get frogs because onky frogs can spawn in a swamp biome

Unless mobs on the mountain are preventing mobs from spawning inside your farm, it shouldn’t make a difference
I can get the items through the mud and in to the hopper but they stay there, how do you get them in to the double chest
when you place the hopper crouch and place it "into" the chest, the funnel on the bottom should point into the chest

i built an almost 10 floor one but the results are much worse than expected is there a reason and my simulation chunk is at 8
The hostile mob can only spawn in a distance, and it will work the best with 3 floors. 10 floors is too much brotha
