It is not him that wants to be president for be life, it is the party that want to keep him there because, there is no better qualify candidate within the party itself. Back in Dang Shaopeng 's time as president, Dang was denied when he want to retire early. The party actually has a check and balance within its own political power. The party members do have power to control the head president...like keep him in office as long as it serve them right. It is almost like he is a prisoner of the political machine. I know because, my people has a similar policy of Clan ruling.

It's a good choice to study in China and go to Chinese university. The Chinese government offers many scholarships for foreigner that cover your life expense and tuition fee. And Chinese language lessons are free in the university for foreigner. Just visit Chinese university website . And it is quiet safe in China, no guns, no drugs. And I really love the summer night in china.
Not sure which university you are speaking of. To my knowledge the fees for studying are about 1000$ /semester. This does not include living expenses. Fees for the dorm can be quite high. Promised scolatships are more often not pay out or significantly reduced and in any case only granted for one semester during the three year's course.
Still, studying Chinese is a great choice, but the conditions are in no way as you make them sound.
This comes from my experience in Zhejiang.
Catherine Park Guess Shanghai or Shenzhen covers a lot, but the living expenses is much higher.

Power is essentially the ability to control others, and rarely does one have true power without a lot of money. Although I am against this man's politics, I cannot deny his intelligence, which is great. He is a true power broker in world politics and for that I can only respect him. If you could arrange it so that you would be in Office forever and keep the gravy train running, my bet is that you would do so too; I know I would.

Xi's supposed power grab is actually for the good of the country, under Jiang zemin, the former leader of China, corruption went out of control. Hu jintao, the president before Xi, had limited power, all the military men on the Central Military Commission were proteges of Jiang. so the corruption continued.
where were even rumors the former top Generals both are Jiang zemin's men. Xu caihou and Guo Boxiong were plotting to get rid of Xi after one 5 year term. now both are charged with corruption, they were corrupt btw
so the 1st term for Xi was to clean the house, and scrapping the term limit means that the men working for the corrupt factions of the CCP do not get a chance to get in power and starts the cycle of corruption all over again.
