    I have been quoted £2800 for a ford fiesta zentec s, 116,000 miles, 2012, diesel. The car is spotless inside from pictures and is nice. I'd like to know what issues car occur at this mileage. I'm considering buying it in a few days. Please let me know!

    Seems like it had a really nice little thrum to it when you put your foot down. What sort of RPM on the motorway? I'm really considering one of these (well, the 1.4 for cheaper insurance) as a first car and they seem great.

    • @BarrieCrampton

      absolutely ideal as a first car. 1.25 Zetec engine is really good, economical, cheap to insure and road tax

    Just put a deposit on one of these, 2012 blue one, looks and sounds mint but petrol will be so expensive at £1.90 a litre

    Is this the 2011 hatchback fiesta s?

  • @jeremycubs8331
    @jeremycubs8331 5 лет назад +3

    I had a 2014 Grand Cmax 1.6 tdci but when I had a fiesta as a courtesy car I found that the fiesta has better gear change feel and didn't have any clank from 1st to 2nd gear unlike my cmax, just overall better to drive. Are all fiestas regardless of petrol or diesel drive better than cmax?

    • @BarrieCrampton

      would have thought they'd be exactly the same, wouldnt be surprised if its not the same gearbox in both

    I have been quoted £2500 for a zetec s and £2500 zetec ... Would you recommend I get a Zetec S ?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  6 лет назад +3

      The Zetec S has is a slightly sportier looking car but i would always go with the nicest example with the lowest mileage and best service history, whether that be the standard Zetec or the S, and the end of 12 months your insurance is worth nothing but your car will be if you look after it

    • @Jonny-ub9mw

      Barrie Crampton Very true, I have been looking at the Zetec S's for a while now and will probably be getting one for my first car in the next few months... Thanks alot

    Diesel or petrol?

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  6 лет назад +1

      This car is the petrol version, but if you are asking if i prefer petrol or diesel then i think my answer would be Diesel, more economical and the engines last longer

    • @levisanderson6951
      @levisanderson6951 5 лет назад +1

      Barrie Crampton I think you’d be surprised at the longevity of the petrol.
      Admittedly not personal experience but I’ve heard that the Sigma 1.6 Duratec engine is capable of easily exceeding 150,000 miles with little repairs and is really cheap and simple to work on.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  5 лет назад +2

      Thats really good, but too be honest diesel suits my style of driving and i always get great fuel economy too (less servicing costs too, especially the price of spark plugs these days 😂

    You need driving lessons. Knocking it into neutral when slowing to a stop is wrong. It means you don’t have full control and engine braking.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  2 года назад +5

      Ive got full control, and with anticipation and experience you can use drag then you dont need to wear out your cars drive train by relying on engine braking, youre welcome and let that be a lesson for you👍 thanks for watching 🤣

      @@BarrieCrampton You would fail a driving test doing that.

    • @BarrieCrampton
      @BarrieCrampton  2 года назад +6

      Im not taking my driving test, I’m driving to conserve fuel and not wearing out my drive train because some driving instructor who knows nothing about friction, kinetic energy, wind resistance and how an internal combustion engine works cant think ahead, and control his car, so thinks his rules should apply to everyone, ps bmw and mercedes benz are trying to perfect a gearbox which does exactly what i do when I’m driving a manual car

      @@kevinwalsh2513 There are lots of bad techniques you must do for a driving test but in reality actually make you a worse driver and add wear to the car. You are wrong
