    You can remove coils from the carb return spring so the throttle wont be so stiff. I do it to all my 2 stroke carbs and it works great. Your thumb will thank you. Zero impact on how the machine runs

      Thanks, I'm actually running the softer Keihin PWK/PJ Carb springs that Travis Wyatt sells on the 250r FB page. That with the Urmosi makes the cable pull almost nothing.

    Looks great, it’s all coming together.
    Still sucks about those full flights, after waiting for your review of them, I decided to go back to JD arms for my “budget” build.
    Is that a GPI radiator? I got one for my last build but the outlets seem to run right into the frame rails on the 86. I had to heat them up and bend them slightly to fit. No biggie but I wonder if the 88-89 straight outlet would work better.
    Keep em coming!!

      @@PatrickRiggs33 I went with std. travel JD arms for the 3rd bike, those are just getting coated before they ship, so maybe another week or 2, I hope. Never had a problem with them and IMO they are priced right and the most important part is, they fit well and just work for me.
      Picked up some good clean Works old school resi’s as well.
      For the price the GPI stuff is ok, just those outlets I had to heat like you did. New old Honda stock is wayyy expensive.

      @@stevewitkowski2864 I got one from ESR and have had good luck with it. It seems to be genuine. You also have Sudco, and you can also order it from Rocky Mountain ATV OEM Parts Section. I believe you will select 2000 CR250 Dirtbike. It will come in a Honda box with a Honda part # but it will be the 38 AirStryker as that is what they used for a carb from the factory. I think they switched to Mikuni in 2001 but you may want to do your research on that.

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  3 года назад +1

      Creo que el 250R es un quad en general mejor que el Banshee. Si te gustan las carreras de resistencia o las dunas, el Banshee podría ser mejor allí. En cualquier otro lugar prefiero estar en una 250R. Manejo más ligero y mejor.

    Question what do you mean by shaving down the thumb throttle, or what do you shave down to make it work?

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  3 года назад +1

      Nothing is shaved down, I'm not sure what you mean. It bolts right on.

      @LayLow1503 3 года назад

      @@PatrickRiggs33 you mentioned that you can use a 450r or 400 thumb throttle on a trx250r but you have to shave off the inside of the throttle I was wondering how?

    • @PatrickRiggs33
      @PatrickRiggs33  3 года назад +1

      @@LayLow1503 Ah yes I'm sorry! Thought you were talking about the Urmosi. The 400ex/450r housing doesn't have enough throw to open a 38mm 2 stroke carb all the way. There is a throttle stop inside the housing that you have to shave down with a dremel so the cable arm has more range, which will allow it to pull the cable further, thus, opening the carb slide up all the way. The stock 250r throttle uses a cam/pulley type system inside the housing to accomplish this (this is why the stock 250r housing is so damn stiff).

      @PatrickRiggs33  3 года назад
