- I am lucky enough to have a wonderful art studio to work in. It started life as something very different. Find out how it was created and organised into the fantastic space it is today. In this short film I'll show you how and where I make my drawing tutorial videos. How to create a drawing studio is fully explained. My drawing and painting videos are created in what was a cow shed but is now my art studio - drawing studio. The studio is split into working areas; painting and drawing, drawing and filming, green screen filming and editing and rendering. Each area of the art studio is explained and equipment and software used is discussed.
I hope you all will now be able to see exactly where and how my drawing and painting videos are made.

Brilliant studio, love all the pieces of furniture you made!
Thanks, it all helps with the creativity
This is great. Gives us an idea of the work that goes into each video. Your work is very much appreciated. Your enery and passion for art is clear in each video- thank you!
Thank you, yes there is a lot of work goes into each video, but I feel if it's going to be done it has to be done right. Cheers Paul
From a cowshed to a production studio. What a fun video. Seeing where and how you create was a nice behind the scenes. Your enthusiasm is off the hook and so refreshing to hear. Thanks for the peek.
Thanks so much!
Interesting video and what a brilliant channel. It's helping to turn a 40 something that "can't draw at all", into someone that loves to sit and make reasonable sketches, landscapes and more. Keep up the great work, nice clear tips and help, presented with great style. Top marks, sir!
That's great thanks. Really pleased you are drawing and enjoying it. Cheers Paul
Same here Gareth! I’m also a 40 something that was looking to get into sketching again so it’s great to find an artist who can make his detailed work easy to follow. I’m happily hooked.
Thanks for the tour. You're so real and warm, and we across the pond, really love your tutorials, in all the mediums. I have started in watercolor, have done acrylics too. I've learned so much from all your videos, even the drawings as they apply to painting. Thanks again!
You are so welcome! Cheers
Thanks. Very interesting to look at. Keep up your nice work to all us who are very thankful for your work.
Thank you. I'll keep producing the videos. Cheers Paul
I just found your channel . I am a beginner and your videos really helped me learn about shading, landscape, edge . I really appreciate your energy in making videos .lots of love❤️❤️😊
Really pleased you enjoy my videos. Cheers
And the best equipment is... the piece of tape!
You wouldn't believe the number of times the top of my head appeared in my videos and the amount of time I spent trying to edit it out. That piece of tape had saved me so much time, amazing really. Cheers Paul
Thankyou for showing us around! You have a great setup
Yes, I'm lucky, it's taken 4 years to get to this.
Great stuff, Paul! Thanks for the tour.
You are welcome Bill, cheers Paul
Looks like lots of hard work behind those drawing vedios👍
Yes there is, it's taken a long time to get it all together, but it's been worth it. Cheers Paul

You are very welcome, really pleased your family enjoy my videos. I certainly enjoy making them. Cheers Paul
Fantastic insight to how and where all your brilliant videos are made. And yes the best bit is the bit of tape! :)
Yes, that bit of tape is essential. Cheers
You are just awesome, mate. Thanks for this tour. 👍
My pleasure!
I love your setup! The duvets were a surprise, a pleasant one :) You're resourceful Paul!
The cheap duvets were a much cheaper option than sound boards and very effective at eliminating echo and that hollow sound I was getting before. In fact the barn was one of the main reasons we bought the house. Cheers Paul
A wonderful place to create. Very inspiring.
Thank you, it certainly is
Paul it's so impressive that you manage to get all this together by yourself! Thank you for your sharing and so much effort into this free youtube teaching!
It is a lot of work, but it means I have control of everything and it's done the way I feel it should be. Please subscribe if you haven't already. Cheers Paul
@@PaulPriestleyart I've been following you for a year or two and still a beginner lol. cheers!

Thank you, cheers Paul
Amazing sir just great to see your studio
Thank you. Yes, I am lucky to have such a space to work in. Cheers
This is a professional studio! rationally organized to create Art. Compliments! I draw too, but my studio is only a small table and my equipment consists of pens, pencils, inks, markers and of course sheets of paper. Today I subscribed to your channel and I will watch your videos. Greetings from Thailand.
I started the same way as you with a small table many years ago. I'm lucky enough now to have a wonderful studio. Good luck with your art and thank you for subscribing. Best wishes from England.
Thanks for sharing! You helped me.
That's great, good luck with your drawing.
Thank you for sharing your studio with us, one day mine will be finished, it's been a 9 year saga, however, the end is drawing near and then I'll be able to set it up. Cheers!
9 years wow! Mine took a couple of years to sort out. Really hope it will be worth the wait. Cheers Paul
@@PaulPriestleyart maybe I need you to have a chat to my partner! Cheers!
watching from Egypt good luck i love the channel sooooooooooo enjoyable and full of life learn a lot from you
Brilliant! Thank you! Good luck with your drawing. Cheers from England
You're cool. Bless you God :))
Cheers
Paul - it would really help if you created more playlists for the various drawing series. And you have video series for Starting to Draw, Start Drawing, Drawing for Beginners, Drawing Basics.... It's a bit confusing and I'm not sure where to start and where to go next. But thank you for your work. I'm drawing my way through Starting to Draw now, and I'm so much more confident now!
Sorry you find the playlists confusing. All my videos are aimed at beginners and each is part of a playlist. Each playlist is slightly different from each other and should be worked through in their entirety. Which order you watch the playlists does not really matter as, hopefully, you'll learn something new in each one. Having said that, I'll look into whether the playlists need renaming. Cheers Paul
Awesome Paul Priestley! Very inspiring! I have a small apartment with very little room yet I make room for all my drawing and paint supplies. (I have a metal table easel that is approx 20yrs. Old!)I’m always in the learning stage but thoroughly enjoy attempting to draw. Thanks for the videos, knowledge and inspiration!
BTW: the tape idea was cool.
Thanks again!
In the past if been in the same position as you, having to clear everything away at the end of the day. It's taken some time to get my studio to where it is now, it was literally just 4 walls, no doors, a roof and a mud floor when we bought the house.
Thank you for sharing. I always look forward to your guidance in videos. Cheers from Texas, U.S.A.
Beautiful Studio... Better still a wonderful teacher! Best of Luck.....

Thanks, cheers from England
well, I definitely need to up my game. I will start with a nice piece of tape 😉
It's amazing how important that tape is.
Brilliant sir👍🏻
Thank you
Very Interesting Video!
Cheers
Wow brilliant setup you are a great teacher but we’re the cows?
The cows are long gone, the farm was sold and a few years ago houses built on the land. The only surviving building was the cow shed which happened to be in the garden of the house I bought.
Exlent sir
Cheers
Wow what a well thought out studio. It’s a shame you had to add the covers to those beautiful stone walls for sound reduction. I guess you cant wait to get out there each day. Thank you for the video.
It is a shame but if you listen to my early videos they sound as though they are recorded in a large, empty hall. The duvets are a cheap alternative to professional sound absorption panels.
Huuuuuuu good
Cheers
Cheers
Allah bless you sir
Cheers
👏👏👏👏🇮🇶🇮🇶

Please make courses in udemy , the art community needs you there
As I mentioned I don't want to get involved with Udemy, they are too structured and quite expensive for a lot of people. Cheers Paul
I already lost my confidence in making art because many compare it with what i earn(money) with it
Van Gogh earned very little from his art. Money is not the way to judge art.
