13 years later and we finally get that test drive experience again! I adored TDU2 through all its major flaws the passion behind it.. i hope this game has that same feeling and it looks like it has!

@@MH-ku5hf Nah. In TDU2 and TC there wasn't bikes at all. The come later in updates ans DLC. What TDU makes TDU is focus about Car Culture not cars or racing as 90% racing games do.

@@oink-ops-vq4vw Perhaps you're new to the TDU genre, but it never was about the best/realistic graphics. It's about the ultimate experience as a car enthusiast, dividing the goodies into driving and the lifestyle experience. The graphics are exactly what I expected, and it shouldn't be too heavy as it's going to be too demanding for most gaming rigs/networking capabilities anyway.

They should do an expansion that extends beyond HK Island and probably includes New Territories with it's touge-like roads and also the narrower and packed roads of Kowloon island.

@@Victor_2000s There's no showroom view, no car showrooms, and it's arcade racing. Test Drive Unlimited is a game about cars, free driving and then racing. This is the first game with such features. The games you listed are all arcade racing games with no emphasis on realism.

(I know that this generation of gaming prefers stuff like that now) I played it a total of about 6 hours when it first came out and haven't touched it since. 😖 I mean the game was okay from what I played, I just won't be playing it again because it's always online with other players.
I'm hoping that there'll at least be an option for a single player experience with TDUSC but I'm not so sure that'll come to fruition. But still, I'm hoping anyways 🤞

I'm seriously thinking about pre-ordering this piece of art. If this turns out to be as good as it seems, it will be a hugely successful game. Please don't let it die when the servers eventually go down in a few years, we need this to stay as a piece of history of one of the most unique and amazing franchises, even when it's a decade old. Don't do like Ubisoft did with The Crew, atleast do like Polyphony did with GT Sport, where they updated it to be playable offline after the servers went down.

Well if it's anything like the old games, you can buy most cars right off the bat but you really need to grind for cash if you wanna do that. It's also pretty useless as the events aren't even available before you unlock that license

I'm kind of the same, I only ever played the first two Test Drive Unlimited games in offline single-player mode though I might give in and buy this if they added single-player career mode and a guarantee of offline play at end of life.

@@OUTFOXEM I get the online element where we can all play with friends and such but the fact that most games nowadays require a constant connection to the internet is just a big no in my opinion it will put a lot of people off some of us don’t like to be in online lobby’s all the time.

Are we gonna ignore all the reused cars from TDU2? 10+ year models that aren’t relevant anymore. It’s not that the cars are old but having something like the Mito in the game screams asset flip. Not to mention the new ones look like bought assets from a mobile game.
