    The cutest little fruit roll ups I’ve ever seen 🥹
    The easiest carnivorous plant to care for in my opinion is the Drosera! It does not require a dormancy period and if feeds itself! Even when you don’t think it does, oh it’ll catch something.
    Reminders! No potting soil, you’ll need a pest moss mix or sphagnum moss mix for these. No fertilizing or tap water, it’ll burn the roots! Give plenty of sun! If you keep indoors, a bright sunny windowsill or rihht under a growth light works best.
    Have I convinced you to give a carnivorous plant a try yet?

      I love your channel!! I have a Dracena plant currently that I rescued last year and it's gotten so tall. However the leaves from the bottom up started really browning from the tips.
      I repotted thinking it was is too big of a home. But I don't think it's helped. It's getting worse.
      Any suggestions?

    After watching this the first time. I went and bought a Venus fly trap. It would not eat. I found it flying insects and put them in the open petals and it would not close it so it did not get those nutrients so I gave it a little it of water w a bit of miracle grow, but it died anyway. So now I just admire yours. And your talent and education of all plants. Thank s anyway.

    • @Spunro
      @Spunro 7 месяцев назад +1

      you should try again, with the right info theyre very easy to take care of!
      if you do get another, never use miracle gro as they live in nutrient poor soil and most fertilisers will kill the plant, also make sure youre using the correct water (i personally use rain water) distilled water, rain water or reverse osmosis water will work as the majority of carnivorous plants need soft water under 50ppm. theres lots of good videos on youtube for more indepth care but this is just the basic stuff

    • @adityaprabhu6
      @adityaprabhu6 Месяц назад +1

      Note that leaves that don't close are usually a sign of stress for the plant - let the plant acclimate to plenty of light and the old leaves will shed and be replaced by newer leaves that will open and close.

    This video was the last push I needed to buy a drosera. I've had fungus gnat issues off and on for a couple years, and I was tired of spending money on items and supplies to deal with the the problem temporarily or that just lessen the issue. I wanted gnat MURDER. So I bought a beautiful red drosera online and have had it almost a week now. I'm happy to not only have a new plant, but also a gnat-killing machine that I can have around for years to come. 💚

  • @Tschitsu

    So....a while ago I bought a Drosera. A slightly different one from yours but it's still cute. I bought distilled water, new soil for carnivorous plants (don't know why I did that xD) and a cover pot + plate for the water. It caught SO many gnats...it was unbelievable! But suddenly all leaves turned brown and when I took a closer look, I saw them: lice! I was devastated because a friend told me that lice were the end for their Drosera 😢. I brushed off the lice with a soft paint brush and dipped my Drosera head first into warm water with dish soap (that's what I read online). I left it outside in the sun and waited. A few days ago I decided to remove all the dead leaves. There is still some green and I don't see any living lice so...I hope I can rescue my little buddy ❤️‍🩹

When they arrived it was actually 9 plants(some were really small but still plants none the less). They are all adults now and since I've gotten them I've seen about a dozen flower spikes, some have flowered twice already. I already have more seeds than I need from just the first 3 that flowered lol I'll probably start cutting them off to give the energy to the rest of the plant.
