  • Our baby Nepenthes Alata when from having no pitchers to growing full, mature pitchers capable of catching bugs - all in just 30 days. We refilled its bowl of water once ever couple of days, but left it on autopilot for everything else. Get your own Carnivorous Nepenthes Pitcher Plant:

    it is not Alata but an hybride between ventricosa and alata : ventrata

      I will say this ventrata in the video does seem a bit unique in that the peristome isn't very flarred and lacks some of the ventracosa like peristome at least compared to my ventrata. Maybe its a different clone or has a mutation? I wish i could compare them up close. Thinking about it more it could be the pitcher just isnt fully aged yet in the timelaspe idk.

    great video! what type of grow light do you use and how long do you have it on per day?

      It’s just a fluorescent light - not a grow light by any means - and it ran nonstop for 30 days. Pretty surprising how well it thrived
