  • Andrew Jager, our Marketing Manager, takes a walk down our Hibiscus hedge to show off some of the Hibiscus for #summerificweek which is taking place until August 12🌺
These North American native plants bring massive, tropical-looking flowers all the way to zone 4. Although later to emerge than most perennials in spring, these are fast growing plants capable of adding an inch of new growth a day. Excellent at brightening up end of season gardens.

From plant number one until the end I kept thinking “this is what I want” then again and again. I’m going to need a bigger yard!

I've been wanting a summerrific for soooo long. I can not make my mind up of which one I want. I love watermelon, Holy grail, Valentine crush, merlot, edge of night. Marshmallow moon, starry starry night, I love them all. I have lots of yard but not enough money here in Oklahoma..

I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to hear about the one at the very beginning to the left of the marshmallow moon variety. The solid white blooms with dark foliage. I am extremely disappointed that it is not on the list for the 2024 collection.

In Zone 8b the spider mites & Japanese Bettles totally defoilate the branches treat them with a systemic treatment used for roses before they start to branch out. Mine start to bloom in July and are gorgeous until the insects start to feed on the leaves. I'm going to treat my next spring before they erupt out of dormancy.
