    Thank you for your uplifting & fun video this morning! Your hibiscus are absolutely amazing and one of my favorite perennials for the garden. Very soon we are moving and will have a new garden to design and will purchase lovely hibiscus to add a splash of color and give them all required to flourish. Thanks, very much for your great video!

    I was worried my perennial hibiscus died but it finally emerged and now is about to bloom. Was so happy to see it didn't die off!!

    I trim the spent flowers off daily and will get another flush of blooms. Some years I will get three bloom cycles. Love these.

    Do they need to be fertized and when?

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  Год назад +2

      You can, but these plants can usually get what they need from the soil.

    Can I plant a summerific hibiscus on the south side of my home where it gets shade in the morning and full sun in the afternoon? and we have clay soil.
    How often do they need water?

    Lovely video. I'm planning to buy these plants. When should I prune them in Canada? Harsh winter.

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  Год назад +2

      We recommend NOT pruning until spring, which allows the energy of the plant to drain into the root system. Cut each stem about 4-6" from the ground when spring arrives near you, the new growth will emerge around these stems. Enjoy!

    When and where can we get watermelon ruffles? Cannot find it anywhere!

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube

      That is not a perennial of ours, so we recommend you use Google to see how you can purchase one.

    Can they grow in containers?

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  Год назад +2

      It depends on your zone, they would be hard to winter over in harsher climates if in containers. These do get quite large, and could be top heavy on a windy day. They are best grown in a landscape setting.

    When is the best time to divide hibiscus plant?

    • @provenwinnersgrowers
      @provenwinnersgrowers 22 дня назад

      This type of hibiscus is not easy to divide, the leaves appear in spring on the short stems after last year's planned has been trimmed back. Not sure that hard, bark-like root would divide successfully. Sorry we do not have a better answer!
