- A single glorious screenshot of Eiyuden Chronicles War battles has been released! We don't fully know how they work, but we can finally see what they look like along with some of their gameplay elements.
I also show off some rare screenshots that I found floating around, and go over the latest Tokyo Game Show Trailer.

Im excited man suikoden 1-2 were such a big part of my childhood. I love FF as much as the next JRPG fan, but suikoden was always so special to me. I cant wait for this game!

And I hope Konami will give us a Suikoden Remaster Release Date soon. But Eiyuden chronicle hundred heroes is Suikoden 6 for me❤
@@Tirigonthey also announced the change of date release when Eyiuden just confirm their release , so it might be before , same day or after Eyiduden release they will release the remaster .

Really love pretty much everything shown, English VA is awesome and I especially love Marisa's.

Ookay that is a surprise after watching the tgs trailer i was like "yay army battles are there" but here i see even better how it goes.. and i would say it is like suijkoden 5 - real time battless maybe with pause...? The open world map was great, and we get random encounters! :) what made may days though was ...FISHING! hell, yeah! still 7 months.. just hope that suikoden 1+2 remaster gets rreleased way before that. or way after.
Thanks for the screenshots about the war battles and the duels. I was completely oblivious about this. Love the music already, both voice acting and the idea of duels changing scenario.

Yeah I've been excited for years and I didn't think I could be more so, but after the TGS stuff hit I'm sitting on a high for this like never before.
My excitement is immeasurable.
Ah, I hadn't seen the war battle screenshot or the Marisa duel yet. I did see the Nowa vs Seign duel bit during the TGS though. The new trailer is so good though. The english VAs were really good too!

I think the red and blue is the mission objective. Blue is your mission and red is what can make you lose.

The new Key art that was posted a week ago also shows that dragon and a griffin with bunch of other characters. Some of which we haven't seen before.
I took a closer look at it, and you’re right, there are quite a few new characters in it
Thanks for sharing this! I wasn't looking hard enough that I missed that screenshot of the "strategy/battle army" battle in this game and it looks amazing! Hopefully it translates well in-game. Haven't watched the 25 min gameplay but will try to look since its Japanese so not much spoiler but I guess they're trying to hype up the game and I think that its great specially for the Kickstarter backers since we waited for this to finally bear fruit and it did not disappoint! 3 years already from what I can remember.
Also, I agree that the Switch trailer didn't gave this game justice but I'm happy that they served something new! I was worried that they'll just re-used it but lo and behold and with a theme song to boot! I was really emotional just seeing the trailer and now, it's kinda difficult to hype responsibly because of this XD. Waiting for April 2024 is like waiting for an eternity to happen because I am that excited for this!
The release date seems so far after this trailer. When the game was more nebulous it was easier to wait!

I am getting more and more hype now that I got a good CRPG scratch with BG3 I am hoping they show battles a little more before release. So hype for these and if luckily revival of the Suikoden series. I am just happy the RPG eating well finally after last decade being so FPS focused.

This is going to be one of the best RPG ever made. Three main characters like s3. Seign gives me Chris s3 vibes. Nowa is Hugo s3 vibes, Marissa seems like a more original MC that the devs haven't fully dabbled in yet which is exciting.
i actually feel Marissa gives off more Hugo vibes since it looks like she is in some kind of tribe that honors the spirits and protests the lands, kind like the Karyan tribe that Hugo. Going to be interesting to see if their tribe are warriors like Hugo's is.
Suikoden 3 is my favorite in the series. Hope we get a cool merc like Geddoe in Eiyuden.
@immessingaround23 s3 is literally my favourite game of all time. Would be great if they insert a victor and flik character duo with huge backstory I will follow the series to its finale.

this is like battle system from Suikoden V where we control the unit more freely across the battle plain where there is certain degree of maneuvering to win the battle rather than just duke it out like Suikoden I or leave it to chance like Suikoden II

Gotta say, the RTS-style war battles of S5 were my least favorite of the series... but everything about this game is looking vivid and beautiful!
The only thing I didn't like is the random encounter. But knowing Suikoden, it will not be as annoying as other games with the encounter rate.
Battles were always over pretty quick in Suikoden, and there should be difficulty options for those who want harder fights
I feel like the Army battles will work like total war just a bit simpler

Will characters be able to die in duels or in the war? like in suikoden, if you lose some you cant get the best ending.

i don't really like the mini-game in another game that much. i hope it's optional or not too complicated.
Switch appeared to be the last version to be announced and it's a bit tougher to port to. Hoping they aren't having issues that a bit more time and maybe familiarity w/ the platform (if that's an issue) can't solve. Either way we need a Switch 2 soon. As in, years ago already.
Thank you for the uploaded tootage. I am a big fan of Suikoden universe, but I would like to point one very important thing that is missing from the successor game. The music. We got a very fast paste and optimistic music; however, what is an assets of Suikoden games is very nostalgic, sad and emotional music (Lady Miki Hihashino) and songs. The current Eiyuden Chronicles game is lacing of emotional songs; therefore, it looks not convicting. What is more the characters in ECH seem inmature.. I still buy this game but Unfortunately this is not what I have been wishing for..
Just to point out as well that none of us have heard the entire OST for this game so I think it is pretty premature to say that this will not live up to expectations. I could also point out that each Suikoden game (at least from the opening videos) has a different vibe from each and every one. So far in Eiyuden, we just heard maybe 3-4 tracks so comparing it to a full-on released game that you have already heard is kind of biased. And it's just one emotional song which is the theme song so that judgement is kind of premature in my own humble opinion but that's your take.
As for the characters...is it really immature? Or are you pertaining to just 1 or 2? If you really played all Suikoden games from 1 to 5 including the spin-off games, there are a lot of "immature characters" in it in terms of vibe, mindset, portrait and expressions. The game hasn't been released yet so as I said from my previous statement, very premature to judge but with the way the production is progressing, this will probably a great game.
