  • Here’s the story on how i got busted. I walked into the parking garage from the 1st floor walking past a parking booth where that security guard that yelled at me at this end was sitting, and when i called the elevator he gave me a weird look like i was there to cause trouble or something (which i wasn’t). That’s the whole reason i started my video on 2 instead of 1. The guards that got on from the 3rd floor seems nice though. I’m never coming back here for sure!

I got busted at a parking garage in Scottsdale 2 years ago. The security guard was rude and said he needed to report me. I explained who I was and how I love elevators and he let me go and said to never come back to the property. It's really stupid that some security guards are mean like that.

    • @matthewhealy4752

I think if you explained to them what you were doing and how you were interested in the elevator that it would be perfectly okay to be there.
There's so many cases where sketchy people are vandalizing and whatnot.

Man, this parking garage in Everett was prohibited from photography. But remember, photography is not a crime. If you’re on a private property and if you’re asked to stop taking pictures and leave, you must comply with that. With that being said, thank you for our friendly reminder.

I find it ridiculous that they threatened to call the cops on you. You were filming in a public parking deck probably owned by the county, so it’s not even private property at that point, only past hours.
But a security guard entered on the second floor and then one was right outside on the first. I’ve been busted by this tactic before. I was riding an elevator and a cleaner blocked me in with his cart, and stopped me from leaving the elevator. Then about three security guards blocked me in and DETAINED me. This is used a lot so you’re surrounded if you try to flee. So watch out for that trick they pull.
So if a security guard gets on an elevator with you and you’re suspicious, walk out and if they chase you, run.

Geez, this is the reason why I always scout the places out for security. I can understand the reason why they'd think filming there would be suspicious, but you weren't even filming people's cars, you were filming the elevator. They should have signs posted if they don't want people there. Plus I read their reviews and I saw something about how break-ins are super common at this parking garage.

    • @adankim2232
      @adankim2232 2 года назад +3

The security guard was probably thinking that Elevator Washington was acting suspicious or something. I know he was filming the elevator entirely and not filming the vehicles there. I did read the description regarding the story on how he got busted and saying he will never go back there for sure unless if he changes his mind.
So, Elevator Washington was probably in public property of this parking garage. I did read Vertical Jersey's comment and the third paragraph was either a suggestion or an advice. It just says if any security guard gets on an elevator with him and he's suspicious, he'll walk out and if they chase him, he needs to run. That security guard should be ashamed of himself.

I got busted with a friend, his name is Brayden, We filmed an Elevator in a Parking Garage and the Security guard came over. Here is how the conversation was when the Elevator door opened
      **Start Of Conversation**
Security: WHAT ARE YOU 2 GENTLEMEN DOING?!!!!?
Brayden: We are filming the elevators.
      Security: For what Reason?
Me: It's a hobby we have and we take videos of Elevators and post them up on RUclips, And there are other people who do the same thing as us.
Security: WE DON'T ALLOW PICTURES OR VIDEOS HERE SO YOU 2 MUST DELETE THE VIDEO YOU HAVE OF THIS ELEVATOR!
Brayden: No! This is our property! So we can do whatever we want with it!
      Me: I agree!
Security: If you 2 don't delete the video, I will call the cops and both of you will go to jail! Another thing, What did you 2 take here?
      Me: Our bikes.
Security: Okay, I get everything now Thank You for being honest. YOU 2 MUST LEAVE THE PROPERTY RIGHT NOW BEFORE I CALL THE COPS! AND NEVER COME BACK TO THE PROPERTY AGAIN! YOU HAVE 1 MINUTE TO LEAVE UNTIL I CALL THE COPS!
      Me: Have a nice day.
      Security: You too.
      **End Of Conversation**
If the Security guard just asked us to leave. We would have because the way that security guard treated us like that. That wasted 15 minutes of our time. We did not actually delete the video. If it's private property, They have the right to ask us to leave but either way, that was super rude

I would really hate to bring this statement up to you regarding that security guard is that, that security guard doesn't really need to be fired in that case. Because he was believing that Elevator Washington was probably acting suspicious to him, probably either having such horseplay or by playing on the parking garage elevator in this video (which Elevator Washington wasn't). You might have to be fully aware that security guards in many other public spaces, including various parking garages in the United States, do have the authority to call the police on anyone engaging in suspicious or illegal behavior. It probably doesn't matter whether if anyone in the US is a kid, a teenager, or an adult of any age, who might do these bad things. I think after the 9/11 attacks in 2001 had more increased safety and security for Americans in the US in all aspects of American life, including out in public spaces and even school districts that have implemented these things. So, other than that, I really would hope that this reply would clarify and make sense to you about that security guard that doesn't to be fired in that matter.

This is stupid how that security guard said instantly that you needed to leave or he was calling the cops! Anyways at least you did what you were told and left when you were told to. I’ve been busted by security a few times which all security did to me at Willow bend a few times in 2021 and 2022 is looked at me for a second and walked away and didn’t say anything to me which they didn’t seem to care if I filmed in the mall or not but I’ve been busted by rude store employees at central market. I almost got busted at Stonebriar yesterday but luckily the guard was distracted by his phone and didn’t pay attention to me but I really thought he was going to stop me as there were more security guards in a car that pulled up but luckily they didn’t. I just left the mall after that before they could hunt me down and ask me to leave

Is this garage private property? If it is, the guards were very unprofessional about it and could of been handled better. Yes they can ask you to leave but being unprofessional is unnecessary when you are being polite. If this is public property, then they were violating federal law and the your first amendment rights. I'm not familiar with Everpark so that is why I am asking cause knowing that makes a difference.

So he did violate your first amendment rights and illegally threaten you. Wow. All security guards have my gratitude because the job is tough one to do but this is why I don't have respect for quite a bit of security guards. There are plenty of great security guards out there and some even show you some great stuff. However, many security guards on both private and property perform their jobs very unprofessional and sometimes even breaking rules they should be following as seen in this video. It seems like many of them either do not care or don't actually bother to take the time to fully understand the rules of the property they work for. He handled everything wrong. Even worse being a public tax payer funded property. The security guard position in general is not a very well paying job so I can see that being a factor that contributes to this issue. Sorry to see you had to deal with this in an unprofessional, maybe even illegal and scary fashion. Of course if someone is legit causing trouble then that's a completely different story. Of course, if asked to leave on private property is a different story too.
