Some additional knowledge for everyone. Air Jordans have an encapsulated Air unit in the heel, hence Nike Air, where Nike Dunks do not have any air in the footbed. That loop on the back of Dunks is OG when they would loop laces through when they balled back in the day.

The premium Dunk hi models are great value for money. However the recent general release hi’s (vast grey, football grey, team red) are trash, very bad material and I would take any J1 high over them.

They're super comfy but i just cant pull them off, i feel like i'm wearing orthopedic shoes whenever i've tried to wear them. So needless to say theyre listed on my poshmark lol I've also kind of given up on scoring some dunks and jordans for now. I am on the hunt for some nice casual sneakers to wear with jeans but i dont feel like jumping through hoops to get shoes.
You can hang dunks from the back heel tab. It's useful if you have a stuffed ass backpack and need to bring an extra pair of shoes to the skatepark/basketball court

The difference in the shape makes the J1 superior. Dunks seem to have a shorter toebox which makes them curl up at the front and crease heavily even after the first wear. I have 7yr old 1s that look newer than the Dunks I've only worn twice. I have 4 pair of Dunks and will never buy Dunks again.
All my dunks creased so hard in that one toebox area. If it was the whole shoe then cool, but its just that big fold on the toe box that is an eyesore when the rest of the shoe is not creasing.

DUNK all day long! And the most favourite colorway of mine, which sadly is impossible to find new nowadays, the Euro Champs Sweden. They also happen to be a nice take on the Ukrainian flag colours, which is where I'm proud to be from. Wore it for 5 years straight, back in the day, and they were holding on extremely well until I lost them while moving house (pretty much beaten up completely by then). The side view of the sole, the lines, the flaps - everything just screams at me compared to the J1s, which I've also had, but was never too passionate about.

I like the overall design of the AJ1 better and the fact that every variation whether low or mid does not compete with the High in this model. The Dunk High doesn't compete with the Low, in my opinion, but in saying that I don't have anything against it.
Much prefer the chunkier silhouette of the dunks. And they broke in almost immediately. My air jordon still feels stiff like cardboard and no cushioning at all

I don’t know bout AJ1. But Dunks are very comfortable. Especially suede sb dunks have a great feel. They really hug your feet. If you have wide feet I would go half a size up.

Use cedar shoe trees. I use them in every pair of kicks from SB Dunks and Vans to dress shoes, boots, and so on.
