I'm starting to get into sneakers and stuff like that. Personally I like the mids alot more than the highs because they are cheaper, sometimes easier to find and don't break my ankles when I have to get on my tippy toes to get something.
Facts: Jordan requested a mid cut than the high when he played in the 1's early in his career. So while he played in the mids in the 80's Nike sold the high's to the public...So if ya really wanna be a true OG about what he wore then you should rocking the mids
Unfortunately the shoe arena is full of followers. All it takes is Travis Scott or a shoetuber will a lot of clout to say mids are hot and watch how many people change their tune.
For those who don't like mids you should know that they are designed for the mass so at a more accessible price and not for very sneaker heads but for those who simply like shoes

honestly, on foot you literally can’t tell the difference and if your looking for a cheap cop it’s definetly worth it. And keep in mind your probably gonna wear pants with them anyway
A true sneaker head doesn't care. I personally wear the mids because I'm a jordan fan and mids were his PE's so the fact that they were exclusively for him and weren't available to the general public makes the mid desirable to me also the 2001 aj1's were mids too. But for anyone buying mids you definitely should use this guy for a reference to buying as he only gets the mids that are worth getting the new loves, the bred toes, the banned etc. The mids are selling out these days and going for double triple and sometimes 10x the price(melody ehsani mids) but keep in mind mids are being bootlegged a lot the inside tag is usually a dead give away fakes have an older tag with no jordan logo.
bruh with replicas after the first batch is out most flaws will get fixed w them. a lot of reps these days aren’t gonna have anything blatantly obvious and instead legit checkers are gonna have to look for mistakes in the shape and stitching of the shoe
Bro, I love mids man. There’s some shoes I can’t pay 1100 for. But I can pay 115 for a mid in a real close color way. The Hyper Royals are dope too. I hope people keep hating so I can keep getting mids for retail. Good content bro.
the mids are interesting, the can be called sloppy, ugly, or poor quality, but they are hardly boring. I appreciate the quality and make of the high and the mids do a decent job following up to the high standards, although the mids sometimes color "outside the box" with their colorways it is nice to see variety in a sneakers design
The new mids aren’t remotely similar to MJ’s PEs. The cut on new mids look way off in comparison. The OG PE looks very similar to the high; the current mids do not. The panels are way off; which reminds me of the butchery of the AJ3 and AJ11. People are just use to the current look of the mid AJ 1, which was basically what AJ1s looked like before the remaster. I always thought the quality of mids were somewhat plastic like and I ended up buying a white pair that creased like plastic and I later started hooping in them. Point being; the mids is basically regulated being the affordable Jordan that you trash after a few wears because it’s mostly vinyl and synthetic materials.
So there are 2 reasons #1 they hypebeast and just follow the crowd #2 they wanna be a reseller and call everything “bricks” If you like a shoe buy it screw the haters. Until Kanye wore them they sat
I like mids depending on the materials used to for the shoe, and I’m not talking about the quality of the materials either. What I mean is I would like for the shoe to be all leather, or a mix of leather and suede, or all suede. Basically the same way the materials used for an OG high would be used.

If I had to choose between a high or a mid, 9/10 I’m picking the high. But personally I prefer low cut shoes and mids give that satisfaction when it comes to having a lower cut. I rock with Air Jordan 1 lows too don’t get me wrong but I don’t get the hate 🤷🏻♀️
I still have some mids in my collection that I truly love, and wouldn't trade em out for anything. I was a 4 or 3 person, and mid 1's until my first high...which completely throttled me with the quality leathers. Granted, it's the shadow 1 (2018) and not all highs are that quality, but it still changed me into more.of a high guy. Still copp mids when they 🔥🔥, but ONLY when they 🔥.
I love mids. I drive stick shift cars, and the highs dog into the back of my legs when I work the pedals, but the mids are angled in the perfect way for me to be comfortable.
Should be no hate for the mids because I was reading up on some old Jordan stories they said he wore the mids while nike sold the Hightops on the market so as sneakerheads we should show more love to the mids also Nike should put the same effort in the quality of the material on the mids and people would never complain.
the same leather that is used on those carmines in the back is the same on the jordan mids so leather quality shouldn't be the problem. Because nobody had a problem with the 6's leather

Bought my first pair of mids at the Nike outlet. I like skating in my Jordan 1 highs but don’t want to mess them up. I was looking for high top sb’s and set down some blazers for the Christmas mids@ $50. I used to always say “ Mids are for kids..” but I changed my mind after coppin these. They skate better than the highs and they look dope if you rock em right.

The colorways don’t hit the same as they used to 15-20 years ago. This was the main Jordan 1 in the 2000s. The energy they had back then, they’re putting it in the High OG now. They had some sick colorways back then. Today, it’s just the poor man’s Jordan 1. The colorways are terrible today. Hard to find a decent colorway to rock. They dropped retro the Mid Banned & Royal. 2 of the most popular Jordan 1s colorways ever. People don’t even care about them. This would’ve cause havoc 10-15 years ago.
I actually like it when no on cared about mids i can easily grab a pair now in my area there all sold out....lol. I also have O.G. highs but i tend to wear my mids more on a daily... Mids are more versatile fr. I can rock mids with the right colorway with a suit and still look dapper. The highs not so much. The highs just don’t translate well with anything other than urban wear. This is my opinion of course.

The 2001s aren’t mids, they’re higher than mids but the back portion is very slightly lower than an OG high

The colorways don’t hit the same as they used to 15-20 years ago. This was the main Jordan 1 in the 2000s. The energy they had back then, they’re putting it in the High OG now. They had some sick colorways back then. Today, it’s just the poor man’s Jordan 1. The colorways are terrible today. Hard to find a decent colorway to rock. They dropped retro the Mid Banned & Royal. 2 of the most popular Jordan 1s colorways ever. People don’t even care about them. This would’ve cause havoc 10-15 years ago.

Mids are more versatile fr. I can rock mids with the right colorway with a suit and still look dapper. The highs not so much. The highs just don’t translate well with anything other than urban wear. This is my opinion of course.
